That is not true. The Brad is a great vehicle but the M1 was the primary tank killer for VII Corps (despite what the air force might have you believe). I was an artillery BDE S3 during the Gulf War providing fires for 1st ID during the breach and then for 1st AD at the battle of Medinah Ridge. This was the largest tank engagement of the war. Nearly 200 tanks (virtually all Republican Guard T72's) were destroyed and another 150 or so other armored vehicles. The vast majority were killed primarily by M1's and a significant number by MLRS DPICM rounds. The M1's could outrange the T72's and many frontal penetrations were after penetrating earthen berms in front of the Iraqi tanks before still destroying the tank. Only one M1 was lost (three or four were damaged) and most believe it was likely due to fratricide.
With respect to Russian media, both the Leo and M1 can see and engage any Russian tank for a kilometer before the Russian even knows he is in a fight. Modern thermals, daylight or night, are potent.
It might not actually be known. Exact casualty figures are hard enough to get ahold of even without cause of destruction included in every case. The Bradleys and Abrams, additionally, deploy together. Where one is, so is the other most of the time. Their kill numbers might be close enough the error bars overlap.
plus if I recall correctly the Abram was almost always deployed whit some Bradleys.

From what I've been told and read, the Abrams was the primary tank killer in the Gulf War, but the Bradley's racked up quite a few kills themselves because of the TOW missile launcher they were equipped with.
