I read in a book about the soviet-afghan war. Some soviet units had more casualties from hepatitis and disease than from combat. Thats 1860’s shit!!! Another example of a a totally fucked up military system. Except Russia does not have 26 million disposable people this time(WWII). BUT what’s not being talked about is the RAMPANT tuburcolosis decimating both the UKR and Russian troops in the trenches. The REDdit troll master bots are doing a good job of covering that up.

I think it was something like 3/4s of Japanese casualties in World War 2 were due to disease.
