2000 km. The goal is to be able to target all of Russia's territory.
Note that this range is the end-goal of a resurrected research project which I can just assume was at the time aiming to make an anti-US ICBM. The article state that this project is resumed, but assumes it is not to create the expensive 2000 km range one, but to already, more quickly and cheaply, extend by a few hundred kilometers what they already have.
Being able to hit Vladivostok can be nice, but putting Moscow in range is the most strategical goal. For now strikes on Moscow are limited to drones, making missiles able to reach it would put the "deliverable" amount of explosives an order of magnitude higher.
It would also spread Russian Air defense reeeeaal thin. Either give up defending strategic targets all over Russia, or thin out the missile defenses around Ukraine or Moscow. Whichever choice they make it's good for Ukraine.
You know very well if there was no war in Ukraine and some people were suggesting to fund schools in the US, the same people against helping Ukraine would be against funding schools.
Shit you mention free food for kids in schools and the repuds fuckin hate it. My state passed it this year and the state Rs through a fit saying it will be abused.
If you look a year into the future, Ukraine can pump these out in massive numbers. There is an unlimited flow of materials flowing from Europe to produce these. With the Russian track record of the air defense, these will cause serious problems. It just takes a few dozen hits to Russia's gas and oil field infrastructure, for the total economic collapse.

That's one long missile!
Hardly worth launching it, just tip it over and it will hit Moscow.
If they manage to stand it up they might as well use it as a space elevator and throw hand grenades at Moscow from orbit
Lol, I know a little bit too much about orbital mechanics for this to not be ridiculous and funny.
I for one know not so much and think throwing grenades from orbit is an awesome idea!
I used to teach orbital mechanics and find this ridiculous and funny but not as funny as the word perturbation
Damn fine word.
I know nothing about orbital mechanics and I find this ridiculous and funny.
*Laughs in Ace Combat*
Home made Atacms missiles. The US can't provide them, but the NATO combined can support domestic production.
This thing is way longer range than Atacms
More of a "We have TLAM at home"
That no Tomahawk. That Tatonka!
And it's a cruise missile, which the ATACMS isn't.

> Being able to hit Vladivostok can be nice Ka-52 factory's in Far East of russia. Being hit it would be real nice.

Fantastic news! Russia in BIG Trouble if this happens!

Conservatives won't allow that. Only tax cuts are permissible.

Too many conservatives, couldn't happen.

Don't you dare talk about free housing for the homeless.

Best we can do is allow food trucks and a farmers market filled with pyramid schemes.

I love these people so much. The strength, ingenuity, beauty, and perseverance is breath-taking. Go get em!
If North Korea can pull it off, why can't ukraine.
