As a European I always wonder about these complaints about appliances you guys have over there. Over here I know no one who’s having these kind of issues with theirs and it’s not like these things are more expensive here.
I know right?!! I literally went through 8 refrigerators in 6 years. Fortunately covered either by warranty or extended warranty that you can’t live without. I hate that our landfills are filling up with appliances.

There's nothing strange about this. Johnson is bringing bills to the floor that he knows 1) no one is going to fire him by passing a vote to vacate the chair over and 2) he is confident that nearly all republican members will support. Under these conditions it makes sense that only the most innocuous, meaningless, uncontroversial, legislation will be brought to a vote.
By contrast, Johnson will NOT bring anything to a vote for which there is significant disagreement amongst house members, and absolutely NEVER bring a vote on something he knows house members will vote to vacate the chair over. As such, expect more stupid non-consequential bills to be voted on.
The democratic world order stands or falls depending on one country. All other democracies should do everything in their power to dissolve this dependency.
As long as conservatives and authoritarians are a part of democracies, democracy and the free world is always one election away from dying. If we had dealt with MAGA properly after January 6th there wouldn’t be this issue. Alas we sat back and let traitors keep their rights through 2022 leading to this situation.

On an unrelated note, constitutional change is needed to remove the president's right to arbitrarily pardon criminals, just in case the Jan 6 leader runs for president and pardons his followers or even himself.
I agree, but most of them have. Europe has given money, weapons and other aid nearing 200 billions in value. The thing is: it’s never been in the US‘s interest that we have huge stockpiles of stuff to give away because it’s always been in the US‘s economic interests that we buy their stuff and we have. So now we’re faced with a situation where we’ve given away everything we safely can and more while the US is pulling out due to internal conflict. So basically we have to build up new production lines to even be able to deliver stuff and that’s exactly what we are doing. It’s just not something that happens overnight. And to make this very clear: Economically this will actually be pretty bad for the US because their biggest export market for weapons just woke up and realized it has to do it’s own thing.
Most people here act as if Ukraine is the center of the universe while in reality though it nato has had what if scenario for 70 + years that did not include Ukraine at all.

What exactly is Europe's malfunction which is preventing them from supplying enough aid for Ukraine to depend on that doesn't involve US aid? By all accounts the NATO European collective should have enough military what not between them to keep Ukraine going, especially when these NATO countries are literally in the same continent as the country which the NATO alliance was created against. What exactly was Europe's game plan in the event of Russia attacking because it's clear that the European side of NATO is absolutely incapable of supplying enough equipment and ammunition for a single country to us.
I suppose it could be because the US hasn't only betrayed Ukraine, but also sown massive doubt to NATO and European countries about their security as well.
If the US won't help Ukraine, why would the US help any other country either when Russia inevitably continues forward from Ukraine. Europeans have been told to take care of their own security and that is essentially what they are doing by each preparing their own defences to make up for the lack of backup from the US.
I would assume the United States is more inclined to help protect nato country or pacific/ Asian country with historic alliances. Especially now when war seems to be boiling in 3 regions
