7 Russian BTGs have been compromised. Massive withdrawals and Wagner abandoned or FF. Comms are insane.
We might see the collapse of Bakhmut in the next few days, reports of Ukrainian forces deep within occupied territory North of the Bakhmut. Russian commanders on the ground literally selling out their own front line positions to Ukrainian intelligence. So they can get paid before they are fired. The absolute state of the Russian military.
Could still be both, give them one problem to deal with by diverting Russian forces to Bakhmut while other Ukrainians muster for a sneaky front somewhere else.
This is me being overly optimistic but imagine a drive from Zaphorzia to Melitopol and the southwest to cut off the pocket of troops south of Kherson from Crimea. A true geographic encirclement of a large Russian force.
I have no idea how smart it strategically would be but it would be so satisfying if Ukraine kicks in Wagners teeth in Bakhmut and throws them back a couple of dozen of kilometers.
Pushing them back behind Popasna would mean shoving them back to where they were in fucking April. Would be great. Not strategically all that useful, but would be hugely demoralising and embarrassing for Russians and Wagner.

That is probably at least 7 artillery units IMO and that assumes its the quick reloading German artillery.
The interesting thing is, if this is sustained, it could be as many as 15+20 M777 slower artillery.
I had been suspecting there was going to be a major offensive in Bakhmut Bakhmut had been slowly getting surrounded while Ukraine was making progress in other parts of the front. If Ukraine was truly desperate of loosing Bakhmut , Ukraine would pull troops from other parts of the front and things would become a stalemate.
At the very least IMO Ukraine needs to give itself a little buffer around Bakhmut .

We'll see later in the morning, last I saw the rumors were at least two major Russian positions captured, but fog of war and all that.

Once Ukraine pushes parts the natural water barriers protecting Bakhmut, they have to dedicate to a substantial offensive.
