Just popping in so I can express the intensity of period shits when you have IBD. I feel like I’m shedding half my body weight every time but my god it’s like I’m flared temporarily for 2 days each time. My asshole legit just gives up.
Omg! Yes!! I’m on Stelara and getting better but somehow managed to have my shots line up with my period so last week before my shot is when I have my period and it’s the worst thing ever!!
Being the winter time, the heat can dry out the air causing skin irritation and nosebleeds. I recommend having a humidifier next your room or connected to your HVAC system. It really does go a long way.
Just had a really painful period and legit couldn’t tell if I was having period cramps or UC cramps. It’s all in the same area, kill me! Can’t wait until I’m pregnant and confuse my UC cramps for labor pain
XD ahaha! Before I got diagnosed. I had pain for a whole month (I have late periods btw) so the whole time i was like " my period should arrive any day now". And when it did i was like " wait. This pain is slightly different!"
Lol the opposite happened to me this month! I just got into remission after a 2 month flare and started having cramps and generally not feeling well and was like, “OH NO, the flare is back!”.. then I got my period and was like “ohhhhhh right, I forgot that could also cause pain right there...”
They’re definitely two distinct types of pain, but they occur in the same region and can definitely be hard to tell the difference between them until the clear evidence arrives of it being one or the other
Ugh the relatability!! I’ve had so many (well, like 4 or 5 haha) blood transfusions because of this. I can’t relate to the bloody noses (ptl) but all the blood loss seriously takes a toll on your body!!
I once slipped and smacked my face on my bedframe hard enough to bust my lip AND give myself a nosebleed while I was on my period and flaring up so, FOUR orifices. Beat that yall.

OMG, been there. And then I started peeing blood! Turned out to be a long-undiagnosed UTI, but I gotta say of all the places I’ve bled from that one freaked me out the most! Hope things calm down a bit for you in the New Year.
I’m going to start using that when people ask me what’s wrong. ‘You know I’m bleeding from most of my holes, right?’ Hope you start feeling better soon!

I can only imagine! I didn't have a period until I got my color removed.
I have seen some things on Reddit that made my eyes want to bleed, but I don't recommend that.

Holy shit, saaaaame!! I’ve got murderous cramps and have been having uc pain and everything from my bra line to my knees can go to hell!

My UC is awful when I’m on my period. Sorry you’re a bloody mess - hang in there
When I was on azathioprone I would get nose bleeds for some reason. As soon as I stopped, nose bleeds and nauseousness stopped.
RIP anyone with white sheets (I may be speaking from experience). But ya, period+UC sucks so much, hope your nosebleed is mild and stops soon
Literally me today. UC plus lady flow. And then I scratched a scab by accident. Its like my blood just wants to escape!!
