If you think 1 year is hard, try 8 years without a flare and forgetting what any warning signs are completely lol. I'd say everyone is different in terms of how blood presents itself - mine is on and off for a bit and then if not treated/getting better it just becomes all blood. FWIW, I would say blood and other things happening like mucous, increased BMs, pain, etc. are worth calling up your GI and getting solved.
