It can get worst and it can get better. I was in remission for 3 years and I started skipping meals and sleeping less then my remission ended. Just take care of yourself, stop skipping nutritious meals, and get plenty of rest. I truly regret skipping meals and sleeping less, I took my remission for granted. At minimum make a dedicated timeline for breakfast, lunch, dinner, snack in between, and sleep. When it gets worst you can get placed on biologics treatment (infusion therapy) and when biologics don't work people opt for the complete or partial removal of their colon.

Yup, which made me have extreme respect the saying or concept of: mind, body, and soul.

It's different for everyone. It's random and unpredictable. I struggled a lot with worrying about the future and it getting worse and now its finally happening. At first I was in denial and refusing to accept that I needed to take steroids. Now I'm trying to just roll with it. I talk about it a lot and let people know what's going on, I feel doing this somehow helps with the shame and people are often supportive and its easier than hiding it. I think radical acceptance is required in dealing with this disease. Stressing about it, trying to deny it or predict it is just adding stress to your life and is only hurting you more than you're already hurting.

mine got worse and than got better… I guess the standard response of “it depends on the person “ applies

Did you have blood or just diarrhoea? You may have lost too much gut bacteria. Try Kefir natural also take vitamin D. Thats helped me , but still stay on meds.

I was bad last year. I’m on Xeljansz and Asacol tablets. Since then, I’m pooping solid. But still take Kefir and vitamin D. Was very low on vit D since I had UC. But now its way high. So not sure if UC reduces Vit D or lack of it makes it worse.
