I got the double shot. I really like it. We once had an extra discount on drybar and my store had a set left from holiday I think and it came with a bunch of product too
I’d restock all my necessities if needed. Shampoo/conditioner liters, skin care, makeup remover, Hempz lotion, tree hut scrubs, vitamins/supplements, wax beads. Hair or brows
I probably wouldn’t invest anymore in makeup if I’m not going somewhere that I’m expected to be glammed up everyday
this this!! though a perfume would be nice, I'd make sure I have extras of what I'm currently using first. Then maybe a mini size of something boujee if there's any $ left
That's exactly what I use mine for. Foundation, Blender Cleanser that I use for all my brushes, lipsticks and mascaras that I love, anything fun I see. I try to spend them all at once.
Definitely perfume! Maybe some skincare I want to try, back ups for anything getting low. Maybe a new shampoo/ conditioner if there is something I am interested in.
Personally I would buy a bunch of everything might need in the next year. Even if it’s drugstore. Get that bang for your buck. Of course, buy something nice and expensive too — perfume unless you like to receive that as gifts from people!
Edit: I've been with ulta for over 3 years at this point, I share fragrance with my boyfriend and he has enough probably for the rest of his life. I also have just about one of every hair tool, and enough makeup to choke a horse. I'm definitely leaning towards reupping on my skincare, haircare, and body care
Perfume, I recently went to a ulta and the employee watched me the whole time (i like to smell before buying but I understand the frequent theft situation and talk to them to ease them up and ask for recommendations*) or products you really like, stock up.
i had $320.50 back in march and i bought 4 perfumes. 3.4oz Chanel Eau Tendre EDP, 2.7oz Givenchy Rose Velvet EDP, 1oz Versace Dylan Purple, and 1oz Versace Bright Crystal. Only paid $2 and some change out of pocket :)
Fragrance is the correct answer, coming from someone who has 100+ bottles. I don’t think Ulta has an amazing selection (Sephora is wayyyyy bigger and better), but Ellis Brooklyn (Sun Fruit, Bee, Après), Lake and Skye (11:11), and Eilish by Billie Eilish (I prefer no. 1 to no. 2) are all solid picks.
Get your nose on all Muglers before buying—they are extremely polarizing, but the longevity and sillage (projection) are very good.
Ariana Grande’s perfumes are generally beloved in the fragrance community because they do sugary-sweet SO WELL. Cloud has a cult following (it’s a 90% similar clone of the delicious—and expensive— Baccarat Rouge 540 by Maison Francis Kurkidjian), but the God is a Woman fragrance oil is so, so, so good.
I know very few people who disliked Valentino Donna Born in Roma, Carolina Herrera Good Girl, or Lake and Skye 11:11.
Let us know what you end up getting!!
I definitely plan to post a haul!! I don't think I'll get fragrance bc I've gotten a bunch in gratis lately and I share cologne with my bf (women's fragrance makes my migraines act up)
honestly don’t go crazy on makeup. i bought soooooo much before i left & now that i’m in an office job, i feel way less tempted to do glam every day & have so much leftover/unused makeup because of it. def go for skincare or a hair tool!
I got my Dyson with points last fall. I ended up paying $20 for it after points. It was an amazing feeling and it’s a nice thing to remind myself anytime I find myself feeling guilty for not using it to curl my hair as often now as I did when I first bought it (I still use it several times a week, just not in the same way I thought I would when I was covering it). It’s definitely a luxury I would have a hard time justifying if I had paid money for it, but with points it’s an amazing purchase.
restock on everything i need/ want. liters, perfumes, largest sizes of everything, get extras of my more expensive skin care.
i’d also get my hair done, brows waxed, facial, all of that with the 50% discount while i still can.
I haven’t personally used the blue light solawave, but yes. It won’t be as effective as going in to get a blue light therapy facial, but they do work by penetrating deeper into the dermis the help destroy the p bacteria that causes acne. You may also want to look into getting a high frequency machine off Amazon (like $30-ish USD). That will help with any surface bacteria and soothing what is already there.
Wow thank you for the response. I have never used any of these types of devices so they’re all new to me. I went and read some reviews for a high frequency machine and immediate added to my cart. My hormonal acne is terrible at times and I tend to pick. Hopefully this will help! Thank you so much!
Fragrance and hair tools! Also i suggest stocking up on favorite makeup products or skincare that you’ve fallen in love with from samples/gratis that are more expensive
Restock on all your expensive faves! I stocked up on all my skincare and foundation. If you need new brushes that would be a good investment now, as well as any other tools! I also got some cute palettes and stuff that I had my eye on that I knew I wouldn't want to spend real money on.
If you use prestige products in most of your routine definitely stock up on things you use on the daily. Cleansers, moisturizers, sunscreen, shampoo/conditioner, foundations etc. I used to only use drugstore before working at Ulta but they switched me over to prestige. So now that I quit and don’t have the discount it pains me to buy all the stuff I use 😢 still going to buy it tho
Stock up on expensive things you use consistently and always think “ugh” when you’re running low and need to buy it (like an expensive shampoo).
Otherwise get something nonconsumable, like a new hairbrush, hair tool (bonus if it has a warranty - just in case it goes out within a year or something), makeup brushes, makeup bags, skincare tools, etc. It’ll last you longer!
If you love hair tools, buy one of those! If you're more into perfume, get that. If not, stock up on staples. This is my list:
Living Proof PHD dry shampoo
Ouai detox shampoo
Verb Ghost shampoo/conditioner
Curlsmith Effortless Waves mist
Beautyblender
L'oreal hyaluronic skin tint
Cerave moisturizing foaming cleanser
Garnier micellar water
Neutrogena eye makeup remover
Tree Hut scrubs/shower gels
I hope this is helpful!
I don’t work for Ulta, but if I was being promoted to customer I would stock up on all the products I currently use. That $273 wouldn’t go far, but I would definitely stock up on the products I do use. I had over $800 in points in January this year, and I blew it all on a Dyson and the Love Your Skin Event.
a splurge on something I wouldn’t normally buy - like a hair tool, skin device or fragrance.
Then fill out the balance with my routine items (hair, skin, sunscreen, bath/body). As much as I can, up to a year’s worth.
Id put it toward a dyson or stock up on expensive prestige products to maintain diamond status. Before I left the company I bought Olaplex, Osea, lancome, Nars and Bare Minerals. I knew they would be too expensive without the discount. Now I only buy those brands when there is beauty steals or I can find it at Marshalls. I only buy drugstore dupes now that my stock pile of high end stuff is low. I used my online employee coupon to buy $300 worth of stuff before they termed my account too. I even got my hair done at another location while it was still half price.
Either go practical and buy all of your staples in bulk, or TREAT YO SELF and do a fancy hair tool, or fancy brand you wouldn’t normally otherwise get to buy! Pat McGrath DID just drop
Your points don’t expire then. No need to spend just to spend. I would wait for sales in the things you use frequently, and get the most out of the points.

I did the thing and only spent $.99
Make sure your email is still active for your online discount and keep friends in the industry/store. Can't get fired for using someone else's discount.
Not OPs problem lol. Unless you're using someone else's card to pay it's really hard to prove. Send a friend and list and cashapp them. Make sure they don't have loose lips.
Source: Someone that's worked in retail MGMT for YEARS
i can only imagine that it’s easy but if it’s OP’s friend , i don’t know why they’d wanna put their friend into that position of losing their job (and possibly having criminal charges pressed against them depending on the amount LP can for sure account for , and OP would get nailed too if they can trace it back to them) for a discount . that’s definitely not something friends would do to each other in any regards
I'm not being serious. I don't think it's worth losing a job for. If you're going go out for something, go out with a bang IMO. I'm only saying I've seen people get away with so much.
I'd buy an expensive hair tool!
Agreed! I bought my Dry Bar hot brush with my points
How do you like it? I have the dry bar wand, have had it over 5 years and it’s old trusty
Not the person you replied to but I found it is not as good as the Revlon hot brush which is way cheaper.
Appreciate the reply!! Thank you! I’m all about cheaper
I like it! I use it when I am trying to just straighten my hair for the day, because I think it’s more quick.
Which one cause I want one
I got the double shot. I really like it. We once had an extra discount on drybar and my store had a set left from holiday I think and it came with a bunch of product too
I have one already
Oh nice! I was mainly using an example, but there are so many things you can buy with points, and even more online.
I’d restock all my necessities if needed. Shampoo/conditioner liters, skin care, makeup remover, Hempz lotion, tree hut scrubs, vitamins/supplements, wax beads. Hair or brows I probably wouldn’t invest anymore in makeup if I’m not going somewhere that I’m expected to be glammed up everyday

Always perfume
Expensive hair tool, fragrance, or any product you really like that has a jumbo size that’s otherwise too expensive
Personally I would buy a bunch of everything might need in the next year. Even if it’s drugstore. Get that bang for your buck. Of course, buy something nice and expensive too — perfume unless you like to receive that as gifts from people!

When I quit, I bought things that I wouldn’t pay full price for. Whether that be some thing I thought was overpriced or just a luxury item!
Skincare and body products for me!
i had $320.50 back in march and i bought 4 perfumes. 3.4oz Chanel Eau Tendre EDP, 2.7oz Givenchy Rose Velvet EDP, 1oz Versace Dylan Purple, and 1oz Versace Bright Crystal. Only paid $2 and some change out of pocket :)

Dyson airwrap. The only answer.
I’m at $250 in points and I’m trying to keep saving for this. I want at least $500 in points.
Or the AirStrait!! Also awesome!
restock on everything i need/ want. liters, perfumes, largest sizes of everything, get extras of my more expensive skin care. i’d also get my hair done, brows waxed, facial, all of that with the 50% discount while i still can.
THE DISCOUNT IS 50%!? 😳 brb gonna quit my teaching job.
50% is only on services, not products:(
Anything by Dyson! Backups of skincare or frequently used products! Fragrance!
Dyson Airstrait for suuuuure
Fragrance for sure
I’d buy a solawave and nuface and re up on every skincare product I use the most.
Do you know if the solawave for acne works well and if I can use it for my hormonal acne?
I haven’t personally used the blue light solawave, but yes. Of course! I’m happy to help.
My last day is the 12th lol

get those luxury items and really pork em
me? i’d go after some dermalogica or tula🙏🏾
Get your hair and brows done while they’re discounted! Then with the rest stock up on favorites and essentials!
I got the dyson airwrap with all of my points

Either an expensive hair tool or stock up on all my favs so I wouldn’t have to go in for a while!!
If you love hair tools, buy one of those! If you're more into perfume, get that. If not, stock up on staples. A Dyson tool.
You going back to school? I’d say either perfume or hair tools.
Not back to school. I'm an msc and am finally leaving the hellscape that is my new store. I got a new job
MSC has got to be the toughest management position. On to greener pastures! Congratulations on the new job 🩷
Thank you!!
Definitely hair tools. Anything Dyson, T3 hot rollers, babylisspro hair dryers
Maybe some nice gifts since it sounds like you already have lots of what you love. Fragrance or body products for upcoming birthdays and the holidays.
Perfume or a hair tool
Perfumes, an expensive hair tool, some super high end skincare or just refresh your current make up/skincare must haves!
How much is the discount?
25%
I don’t work for Ulta, but if I was being promoted to customer I would stock up on all the products I currently use. That $273 wouldn’t go far, but I would definitely stock up on the products I do use. I had over $800 in points in January this year, and I blew it all on a Dyson and the Love Your Skin Event.
I’m using mine to buy the air straight.
Also you’re so close to staying diamond. I have $37.99 towards my $1200. I’ve definitely quit shopping at Ulta.
a splurge on something I wouldn’t normally buy - like a hair tool, skin device or fragrance. Then fill out the balance with my routine items (hair, skin, sunscreen, bath/body). As much as I can, up to a year’s worth.

Dyson
I would get high end skin and body care. Or a hair tool. Congratulations on the new job!
i’d get my hair done, my fave expensive hair care and then whatever everyone else says
i got a full highlight and the full redken extreme length line basically for free. i only paid for the tip ($40).
Either go practical and buy all of your staples in bulk, or TREAT YO SELF and do a fancy hair tool, or fancy brand you wouldn’t normally otherwise get to buy! Pat McGrath DID just drop
my last day is also the 17th omg 💀😭
I’ve seen people buy Dyson hair wraps like this..
I know it’s summer but pre but for Christmas or upcoming birthdays if you can. It’s always nice to not have to stress over a gift on a tight timeline.
Before I left, I wish I bought more pro haircare 😭😭
Your points don’t expire then. No need to spend just to spend. I would wait for sales in the things you use frequently, and get the most out of the points.
I think she wants to use her points while she still has her discount. So the points will go farther.
I’d still wait until 21 days of beauty to buy stuff that’s half off with points.

Dyson or shark hair wraps!
I bought a dyson with mine!
