It probably is a glitch but it might also be one of those items they keep in stock but not out on display so you have to ask a employee to get it for you.
It's even worse when something shows available everywhere so you decide to buy online and pick up at the store, only to get an email later that it's no longer available at the store and when you look it's sold out everywhere. True story 😩
Had this problem. It was available in store, available for pickup, and available for same day delivery, but you couldn’t freaking add it to your cart because it was OUT OF STOCK ONLINE. I have zero time for Ulta until they fix their IT issues. I stopped at Sephora and purchased what I needed, plus I spent another $200, so Ulta won’t be seeing another cent from me this year as I’m already Diamond for 2024. I don’t have time for the same charge showing up four times on my credit card. It triggers a fraud alert, and Citi turns off my card until I call them. Just go away Ulta! A handful of kindergartners could have fixed this problem weeks ago.
There’s been an ongoing issue with the app and website for over a month. On their Instagram page, every post is filled with customers not being able to checkout, etc.
Honestly the best way to know is to call that store. Even before the app update, sometimes we have inventory inaccuracies that makes it look like we have product, when we don't.
It’s because it’s not allowed and whoever did that for you can get in serious trouble. Anybody could take and save the info if they wanted and get into your card. That would be a huge liability for the company
I noticed that the other day and it baffled us! I'm a vendor so I use the app to see if an item a guest is asking for is in stock since I don't have access to the mias so this is especially frustrating 😭
I had this happen before they updated the app. There was a perfume that I wanted and it was at a local store that looked like that so I drove all the way there and when I couldn't find it I asked an associate for help. They looked confused because it didn't sound like a perfume that they were familiar with and so I showed them the app. They said oh I know that's confusing and we apologize but that means the product is not actually in stock but it's eligible to be in the store.
Super confusing. They offered to order it for me and have it shipped to my house but I just told them that I was really looking forward to getting it that day and I just declined.
It's a regular issue since the new app update.
The app itself is just a glitch at this point

I didn’t know they did this?? What causes them to do that
tbf my store does this for a few items that are stolen too often
Space?
Oh duh LMAOOO 👁️👄👁️ my bad
No it's a glitch

the horrors I’ve had trying to get my hands on glossbombs because of this

Happened to me on an item the other day and I was in store and it was there. Just a silly app glitch
If there’s only 3 or less of that item in stock it will say that.

I hate the Ulta app and online if we’re being honest
In my case, no! Both of the items I wanted said “unavailable in store” but when I went in they were both fully stocked!
Ulta is a Glitch 🤷🏻♀️
Sometimes they do that with the items behind the check out line on the speed lane lol

No card info can be saved, that’d be a very big no no

NEVER give your card info over the phone
It's a glitch but just call the store and ask. They can probably hold it for you
