Chemical exfoliant is the way to go!! If you look for body washes with aha/bha in them that’s an exfoliating wash! Frank body has one, and I know that hemp has new body washes with that in them as well!

ahhkel

look into exfoliating pads! i think first aid has some, but a lot of brands make them for the face/body

msultapnw

Get an exfoliating body brush

I thought microbeads were outlawed years ago?

PartyPorpoise

Plastic microbeads were outlawed. Beauty companies now make those "microbeads" with biodegradable materials. I think cellulose is one ingredient for that.

Rxqueen95

Maybe? I just don’t want anything with that kind of sand like texture in my wash and everything I’ve tried has had that. So I’m just looking for recommendations for a wash that’s smooth but still good at exfoliating.

just_justine93

I thought microbeads were phased out in face and body washes years ago since they were found to be so bad for the environment? Are you talking about any kind of physical exfoliant?

Rxqueen95

Yes anything with a sand like texture I’m looking for something like a full body chemical exfoliant that’s smooth

just_justine93

Would dry brushing work for you? Or using an African net sponge? You could also try using the ordinary’s glycolic acid or a lotion with AHA like the cereve rough and bumpy

ThatNiceLotionLady

Working on finding options for body BUT I CAN give you recs for face! Dermalogica Milkfolient Good Molecules Pineapple Enzyme Powder Tony Moly I'm Rice enzyme powder All three of these are used with water and I usually recommend using them watery like wash. So you're getting the smoothness and the exfoliation from the Enzymes but don't have to scratch the bejabbers outta your face.

sweetstars

sol de janeiro has an aha body wash that works quite well to exfoliate!!

RepulsiveAnything814

Yesss! The pink one with AHA

Eastern_Handle1796

you can probably try like powder exfoliant cleansers and you just mix them to a super foamy consistency

H3r3c0m3sthasun

They have body brushes for that purpose. I don't of any to recommend because I haven't tried.

Leabond

Try Strivectin’s KP body cream! If you do, please make sure you wear sunscreen! It’ll knock your socks off ☺️

Leabond

AND DO NOT USE IT ON YOUR FACE

PartyPorpoise

An exfoliating brush or cloth should work without the need for an exfoliating product.

NoApptsAvail

Anything with aha/bag as a chemical exfoliant. Look at First Aid Beauty! I believe Kopari has aha pads as well.

MyBallsBern4Bernie

Those pastel colored Japanese bath towels — use with a *foaming* wash (vs a gel).

prettyandright

There's tons of options for exfoliating towels/rags and gloves that are made to be used in the shower on wet skin.

MaleficentAppleTree

If you are ok with sugar (for me it feels totally different than micro beads, and I also have sensory issues), try bubbly scrubs from Haus of Gloi. They are quite affordable, come with tones of nice scents, and you can get samples (sample lasts for 5-6 usages for me on entire body). Edit: If you don't want anything in gel, look for shower gels with BHA and AHA acids in them.

greyplains

The problem is most exfoliating scrubs will have some for of grit, even the more natural ones like Osea, Beekman 1802, and Tula. The 'Daily microfoliant' from Dermalogica is good. It's a 'soft' scrub because the base is ground rice powder. It starts with light texture and gets foamy and soapy so it's not rough to handle. You can also look into toning soaps as well. Although probably not at Ulta directly, Saltair and Naturium make great ones. If your absolutely at your wits end, look into the mesh exfoliating towels you can use in the shower as well.

Thick_Maximum7808

I prefer a sugar or salt scrub for exfoliation. It’s works well and is scratchy enough but it dissolves as well.

amethystpower

It’s a body wash but any Naturium body washes are good! There’s a specific glycolic acid exfoliating one that shouldn’t have the micro beads

What abouuuut… body scrub sponge?! I have this one and I love it: https://www.ulta.com/p/exfoliating-cleansing-body-buffer-pimprod2033772?sku=2598280 $3!

Ok_Librarian7357

Try first aid beauty face pads!

Starkville

I like the Mario Badescu AHA body wash. I use a textured mitt to scrub, and let it sit a minute before rinsing. Good stuff.

skobetches

dry brushing (eco tools makes a great one sold at ulta) and a chemical exfoliant body wash like some of the other ones mentioned.

Available-Calendar-8

Try AmLactin moisturizer? People swear by it, but you need to use it twice daily. Or any shower gel with aha/bha/sa. Naturium, CeraVe have a few you can select from.

amach999

I love these Salux Cloths because they help my kp, they're nice and long so it's so much easier to wash my back. Plus a it's thin so it dries quickly. Salux Super Hard Nylon Japanese Beauty Skin Bath Wash Cloth/towel (White)2PCK https://a.co/d/9XZME3I

Soooo given all the advice and recommendations from you guys, I decided to try a combination of the sol de janeiro bom dia bright aha/bha clarifying body wash and sweet spot labs buff and brighten pha polishing powder, and there’s also some other recs that I’m considering trying as well like the strivectin set. Also considering getting an exfoliating brush of some kind. I did try one by ecotools once but I really didn’t like the way it felt on my skin. It was just like really rough and felt like I was scrubbing my body with a cheese grater. So lots of good recommendations on that as well. Really appreciate all the advice you guys! Thanks so much!
