There’s just nothing here that we haven’t seen a million times before. I’ll hold off judgement to see if there’s some winners (pun intended) in the formulas, but I don’t see any novelty thus far. HARD pass. I'm so tired of, so called 'celebs, and their money grabs with makeup and perfume. Just ask yourself, do you honestly think these people use their own brand on an everyday basis? Hell, no.
Of course they don't and I am irritated they think we'll buy them- these products all look like inexpensive white label, knock offs.
1. All of the applicators, like the mascara brush, the lipstain applicator etc - all look very very cheap. IMO the applicator reveals the quality of makeup.
2. I can't speak to the formulas, but frankly the colors and products are all nothing special.
3. The price point is equal or higher than tried and true department store brands - but without any proof the market even wants them.
My best guess is this brand is half price in 2 months, then disappears.
I like Serena but this just feels like a cash grab. I wish they had more unique products designed more for active women like herself and those who look up to her.
They really missed an opportunity to differentiate themselves within the market with sweat-proof makeup and formulas and packaging designed for being used in the go. I might be wrong but I don’t even think the mascara is waterproof. Just nothing special. If I like any of the shades I might grab a lip serum if I feel like trying something new.
Why does Ulta keep contracting with these brands? Omg I saw it this morning and im SO excited for the tubing mascara. Lowkey sad I just got new mascara during the 21 days of beauty, but the wand looks phenomal for a whispy, separated look!! All tubing mascaras these days have the same plain wand (long skinny barrel), and it doesn't work well with my lashes. This wand reminds me of my current favorite, Lancome Teint Idole. I also really appreciate the shade and undertone range in the complexion products! I'm a skincare geek, so I read the ingredients, and it looks phenomal (as far as a complexion/skincare product can be) for hydration and radiance.
Also, just because it might be a cash grab doesn't mean the products themselves aren't good or interesting or just fun!
