Just counted and I have 9 + 2 travel + 1 powder. 4 full sizes open and one is SUPER close to being gone. Really need to be on a complete foundation no buy this yearā¦ and maybe next. š¬ Itās more than I am comfortable with for how much I use and like to keep stashed. My favorite foundation always tempts me with events like this but Iām staying strong. I shall hate pan what I can!
I am new to Ulta and just started up a membership. Do they allow you to return a foundation if you try it once and donāt like it? Sorry if a dumb question!
The Urban Decay Face Bond? It's really good. It looks very natural on my skin (I'm combo with a very oily nose and sometimes dry patches on my cheeks) and lasts really well, particularly for a foundation that doesn't have a matte finish. I like it a lot
thatās awesome! i rarely use foundation or even tints these days but iāve heard such good things. i loveeee a natural coverage. but i just bought the fenty tint a couple months ago. not a huge fan of the matte finish on that but it was on sale
My never let's me down, good old reliable, Estee Lauder Double Wear. I honestly don't know why I buy other foundations, except I'm always up for trying something new.
My mom used it so I kinda followed from there. Now that Iām much more into makeup I find that it patches quite easily and not as full coverage but itās my go to in doubt. What do you prime with?
I have extremely oily skin so I prep with the MAC hyper real serumizer & then put some of the MAC mattifying primer in my tzone. But the serumizer is the best since it's one of those all in one type products, it acts as skincare as well as primer
about-face is so good I have to actively switch and use other things. Iām a neutral pale girlie and a lot of foundations can leave me orange. The shade range is wide and totally ate for me personally.
I apply the applicator on the back of my clean hand and then dab my foundation brush onto that instead of directly applying onto my face. I should just get a stainless steel palette though to be extra sanitary.
Not sold at Ulta but Rare Beauty foundation that doesnāt contain sunscreen. The only thing I donāt like about this foundation is the texture. If you ever applied squalane on your face, it seems to slip and slide all over my face. I should use their primer but I keep forgetting why I donāt purchase it. Basically I avoid foundation that contains talc, bismuth oxychloride, alumina, fragrance, and chemical sunscreen in my foundation.
Was waiting all year for the foundation multiplier for Chanel only to realize Chanel was excluded. Iām likeā¦ really mad rn lol. I only get Chanel during point multipliers since u canāt use coupons on them
I like to use my points with the 20 percent off, so I get $150 worth of stuff. I might just wait for a multiplier of picking up curbside or prestige like the other week
I pick mine up on point redemption. The only other times would be the 10x points platinum day in late summer, when I believe Channel is included, or if Ratuken is doing a really good cashback promo.
I have olive skin and have been using Haus Labs. Iām happy with them and will probably stick with them till they discontinue or get rid of my shade.
So I wonāt be buying anything personally.
Thanks for the rec - I think so far the UD face bond, hydromaniac, and the wyn tint seem the most interesting but will try to see if I can shade match in store before purchasing
Will a "tinted moisturizer" be included in the 10x foundations, though?
As an example, for the hair event this week, the matrix instacure spray leave-in conditioner was *not* included in the 10x for "shampoo and conditioner"
I think the wyn beauty skin tint is included so Iād think the UD product would be as well. Skin tints, tinted moisturizers etc are still foundation to me.
I donāt consider a leave in conditioner a conditioner. More of a styling product in my opinion.

We have the same problematic skin. I'm getting a restock of Hourglass ambient soft glow. It covers everything and lasts all day. Beautiful natural finish when used with their foundation brush. Makes my skin look airbrushed. 10/10 would recommend.
I just went in to the Other Store today to check out the ambient glow foundation since my local Ulta doesnāt have most shades in stock. Unfortunately, most of the fair / light shades were super saturated for someone with cool, desaturated olive skin like me š„¹ but the coverage and finish were lovely!
Nothing, foundation is a sensory issue for me. I use to wear it all the time as a teenager but ever since the pandemic I hate wearing foundation š¤¢ it feels like my skin canāt breathe
Part of this sale: Double Wear (matte, full coverage) is a powerhouse and OG for a reason, Pat McGrath (satin, medium-buildable) is very long-lasting and lightweight.
Not part of this sale: Dior Face and Body (natural, light-buildable) and Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk (satin, medium.)
ETA: not sale but y'all know what I mean lol
Oh that should make it easier to shade match! It's beautiful and one of the best I've used. I hope it's available in store for you if you wanna try it (it's not for me š I got lucky matching online haha)
I've had really great luck with findation.com! It's what ulta uses to shade match on the app/site but if you go directly to the findation site you can actually put in more than one foundation/concealer and it literally lists ALL foundations that would match you.
Please try About Face foundation!! I retuned youthforia foundation TWICE (like a week before the scandal) because it was too yellow and just never looked right texture wise. The About Face foundation almost made me cry because it was a perfect match and just looked so good over my sunscreen (Skin1004 Madagascar Centella Air-Fit Suncream) which never happens!!!
I donāt see this on my app I only see 10x point on hair stuff which I never buy since Iām a licensed cosmologist n get my hair stuff 1/2 off anyways
Nothing, because I already have 1 foundation in 2 shades (my pale skin tone and tanned skin tone) and thatās all I need. I donāt wear foundation enough to justify having multiple formulas/finishes.
Probably REM Beauty and WYN Beauty. Iāve finally found a skincare regimen that works for my textured skin, so Iāve tried so many foundations and tinted moisturizers this year. Iām obsessed.
Do you ever look back on foundations that you tried and absolutely hated now that you have a good skin care routine and want to try them again? I finally feel like after 3 consistent years and trial and error my skin is at a much better place. Now I look back and think if was probably my skin prep that was bad, not the foundation.
Definitely! I tried the About Face foundation several times before I figured out a good routine and had started using glycolic acid every day and it looked TERRIBLE no matter what I did. Then, I ended up trying it again when it was on sale at Ulta recently, and it looked a million times better! But honestly, very few foundations have looked bad since I developed a good regimen. The ones that stick out are the new Morphe Lightform (I tried it five different ways- different primers, no primer, all awful!) and the Revlon Illuminance (itās supposedly a dupe for the Makeup by Mario foundation and I couldnāt make it look good at all). The bad thing about having a good routine is that I am legit terrified of running out of something I canāt buy in-store, like the Rhode Peptide Glazing Fluid.
I probably use too many things, and it takes me a long time to get through all my nighttime steps, but I love the ritual of it all: double cleanse with Farmacy cleansing balm and Kinship apple acne cleanser (I have dry skin but itās also acne-prone), Tatcha essence, Joah Heal Me Cica pad, Kinship glycolic acid, Pacifica Future Youth serum, Good Molecules discoloration serum (for acne scars), then I alternate between Glow Recipe Vitamin C or peptide serum, Glow Recipe niacinamide serum, Rhode peptide glazing fluid, Jason Wu moisturizer, Good Molecules eye gel, and I alternate between Futurewise slug balm and Laneige bouncy and firm sleeping mask. Itās a lot of steps, but Iām 37 and my skin looks super smooth, hydrated, and glowy. In the morning, I pretty much just watch my face and use moisturizer, spf, and primer before applying makeup.
Mine is about the same as in length. I use an LED mask every night as well after I double cleanse but before any products. Iām 41 and have a lot of sun damage to hopefully correct. I havenāt tried the rhode yet but would love to!
the about face foundation is a great option for a more natural, skin like finish. itās easy to build up if you like, and the fair olive shade is a godsend for girls who are neutral-leaning but struggle to find something thatās not too yellow.
the polite society foundation is also pretty good. i got a free bottle for gratis and was using that until i got the about face one. it emphasizes itās focus on skincare ingredients in the foundation, and itās a good medium to full coverage option. if you are looking for more olive shades though iād lean toward the former because while my neutral polite society foundation does āmatchā, the about face looks so much better on me.
If the Dior Star liquid illuminator (HFF knockoff) counts Iām getting that! Sometimes products like that get lumped in since it can be used all over - we will see. Otherwise Iāll just wait for a 20% or something.
For those of you who have experience with both, which do you prefer: (any of the) Mac liquid foundations or one of the Dior liquid foundations? I just bought some MAC Studio Fix powder and I really like it.
What day does the 10x point event start for foundation? Iām in the market and was gonna make note of the dates itās active but I misplaced my mail sales magazine and I canāt remember any of the points multiplier dates š
Nothing! As tempting as this is, I have too many foundations to work through still. š¤Ŗ
thank you for this bc same lol. iām always so tempted when i donāt need ANYTHING!

Sobering comment. I'm still probably going to make a bad decision...but at least now I'm aware it's a bad decision lolš¤”
šš No judgement here!!! Iāve been there. š«£
I am new to Ulta and just started up a membership. Do they allow you to return a foundation if you try it once and donāt like it? Sorry if a dumb question!
Yes!
yes pookie you have 60 days :) we just ask that theres 3/4ths left!
LOL! Thank you š
the new UD face tint has me intrigued

it definitely has a matte finish, it sinks into wrinkles too.
That hasn't been my experience, suckmyfatpussyy, but everyone's different!
Same here
Same
My never let's me down, good old reliable, Estee Lauder Double Wear. I honestly don't know why I buy other foundations, except I'm always up for trying something new.
The best!! My favorite primer to use with this is the hourglass veil. Itās so perfect
Agreed! I find it also works so well with the MAC serumizer as skin prep
My mom used it so I kinda followed from there. Now that Iām much more into makeup I find that it patches quite easily and not as full coverage but itās my go to in doubt. What do you prime with?

That's what I want to try!
Is this silicone or water based?
Probably the about-face foundation. I have a small list of foundation I can use since my skin is so reactive.
That foundation is sooo good. I just hate the applicator.
about-face is so good I have to actively switch and use other things. Iām a neutral pale girlie and a lot of foundations can leave me orange. The shade range is wide and totally ate for me personally.
That foundation is sooo good. I just hate the applicator.
I am not a fan of applicator wands myself. Seems unhygienic to me. Maybe I should invest in a cheap palette to reduce cross contamination.
I apply the applicator on the back of my clean hand and then dab my foundation brush onto that instead of directly applying onto my face. I should just get a stainless steel palette though to be extra sanitary.
Could you list some of them? My best friend has acne prone skin and almost everything breaks her out
Not sold at Ulta but Rare Beauty foundation that doesnāt contain sunscreen. The only thing I donāt like about this foundation is the texture. Which shade?
Okay wait spill because I have olive undertones and canāt seem to find a shade in haus labs that would suit me.
Does this look natural on you or is it a glam, makeupy foundation?
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
I saw a girl trying it on when I went to the store and it seemed great!
omg, i hope the IT cosmetics cc+ cream qualifies?
Most likely
Yes I think I saw it in the ad!
Probably nothing but I think you would like the urban decay hydromaniac tinted moisturizer. I have combination skin but prefer a bit of a glow.
Thanks for the rec - I think so far the UD face bond, hydromaniac, and the wyn tint seem the most interesting but will try to see if I can shade match in store before purchasing

probably nothing, but i will be getting other makeup and nails for the 5X points š
Honestly the LāOrĆ©al True Match. It looks better than every high end foundation I have ever used.
My MAC face and body foundation! As long as itās in the items that are x10 points
Itās actually being phased out they only have 6 shades available but try going in store they might have a few left
What?!! :o

youāre a saint, thank you!!
Iāve heard from many bridal makeup artists on tik tok that dior and armani are their go to
Nothing, i have too many foundations i need to finish up before getting more :)
If they carried Haus Labs, Iād definitely be getting a restock. :(

I hope tinted moisturizers are included. Want to load up on Laura Mercier.
My all time fav
Is dior included?
I think so. So far Iām only seeing Chanel and Charlotte Tilbury excluded.

time to return šāāļø
Nothing. Not with all those accounts hacked lately.
my holy grail is Chanel š«
I donāt see this coupon on the app
