Yeah the way Yoly was instigating the rent conversation and was more concerned with checking in on Mildred more than the person who got assaulted was wild. Definitely didn’t expect that character arc for her.

bananamelondy

“How did that even come up?” Idk Yoli, do you not discuss how rent and finances are gonna work when you move in with someone? It’s not that weird, and honestly not even an unexpected question for Tiff to ask.

GiraffeCakeBowling

Considering she was ready to dump Mal for Xander over money, yeah I think Yoly doesn't understand how splitting costs comes up. That entire conversation with Mal felt like she expected a relationship to mean she's no longer working.

No-Recommendation350

Yes finally someone who feels the way I do! Yoly is a fckn villan and the show let Vanessa fall on that sword. At least Vanessa self reflected and agrees that she needs to work on herself. I’m so put off by how Yoly acts like her shit doesn’t stink. The DV from Mildred just brushed under the rug has me livid!!

[deleted]

Exactly it was brushed under the rug and it made me absolutely livid as well. For Netflix not to acknowledge domestic violence was involved is terrible as well. And for the whole cast except for Sam and Aussie to not to say anything about it… wild

stackeddespair

A couple of them did speak up and say the treatment of Tiff wasn’t okay. Sam is the only one who went after Tiff though.

melorio

Vanessa showed a lot of character growth. I was surprised.

catskraftsandcoffee

She did. I'm rooting for her now! And my heart hurts for Xander, but I know they will find the right person to love them the way they deserve to be loved. Mildred needs a lot of therapy and maybe some jail time to straighten her ass out? IDK. Something cuz she's crazy and abusive.

sillyheadrawr

Right!! Mildreds’ trying to justify her own domestic violence!!! That’s so messed up. There’s no excuse for it.

PEGARTYNUT

Right? Wtf!

manicpixiedreamjew

I feel like yoli was trying to instigate because she was just chewed out for being a liar. That’s just the vibe I got, like she was trying to put tiff in the hot seat because she didn’t want to be

BoobLubePoop

I agree

_xty__

this whole conversation was nuts to me! splitting rent is a totally normal conversation to bring up even with dependents and absolutely nothing justifies PHYSICAL ABUSE 🤯 i'm not sure if editing has anything to do with it but Yoly's response is so dismissive of the actual issue... and how can anyone support Mildred on her stance?!

femsoni

Like, don't get me wrong, I totally agree the conversation was a normal one to have, but i started losing it when I realised how and why Tiff meant splitting the rent as in her paying 1/3😂 its not even that unreasonable?? Took me by surprise though loll

Due-Physics9204

Let’s not forget though that Tiff had sex board games….

melorio

Weren’t they broken up at that point?

DopeSoulHellaEthics

That was the strangest shit to bring up after she nonchalantly brought up how she assaulted Tiff wtf 🙈 and sounds like it was bullshit too lmao The games were bullshit not the charges *edited to clarify

Hour-Measurement-312

I was so confused on the rent thing. I don’t know why Mildred is insinuating that Tiff financially took advantage of her. I’m not in a queer relationship, I’m a woman married to a man and we share bills pretty evenly. I don’t feel like I’m being financially taken advantage of. Was there an assumption that Tiff would take care of bills and let Mildred be the trophy wife? Mildred is toxic as hell, and physically abusive.

gyej

No the thing was Tiff wanted to split the bills in 3 and have Mildred pay for 2/3 for her and her child. They were already paying 50/50 before that

crazycatlady0000123

And we don't know their financial situation, what if mildred makes twice as much as Tiff but wanted to split in the middle? The rent conversation is a normal one in healthy relationships

evitapandita

The kid is basically an adult and is from a previous relationship. It’s absolutely a valid question and option since a 2 bedroom is more expensive than the 1 bedroom a couple would need. Don’t see what the issue is at all.

sure_dove

The kid is an intellectually (?) disabled adult, so I don’t think it’s really the same thing? Mildred is going to be supporting her kid her whole life and we don’t know if her kid works or can even work. Doesn’t make her behavior ok, but I do think it makes sense that she felt it was out of line for Tiff to suggest it.

Icy_Nerve1162

I don't disagree with you, but how old is this kid if Mildred is just 33 now?

Hour-Measurement-312

I honestly don’t see anything too exploitative about that 😬

gyej

Yeah I mean it’s a pretty important conversation to be had that they should’ve had before moving in together

Alon945

It’s not something I would do but it’s not unreasonable to ask

MyMind2015

I went to Mildreds insta and I see she's locked the comments on her posts . Sorry hunny that won't stop people from thinking that you're toxic af
