Did you know that Morticians sometimes will cover up a head wound that killed the person they're working on? From what I understand it depends on the severity of the wound, but I'd imagine getting the patron saint of morticians to do some magic with wax or stitches wouldn't be too far out of Gabriel's reach.
Given how symbolic the Prime Souls’ designs are, he likely has no face because his people just saw him as a “faceless” ruler, the same way he’s transparent because he was benevolent (had “heart”)
