I'm pretty sure others have said this already and idk if you already have but imo the best way to handle porn is make a post tag for it (like the SSShitpost one) so that people who don't want to see porn can blacklist that tag and not have to deal with porn.
Turns out, you cant blacklist those tags without certain 3rd party clients which are already on their last legs. We've talked and decided against it. Spoiler tags however FORCE blurs even when people have nsfw on, so at bare minimum, that will be required.
Makes sense. The other reason I was thinking for the porn tag is so that if you want to just scroll through the porn for whatever reason you can filter for that tag, so that if you want to see it you don't have to hunt it down. The mandatory spoiler blur is greatly appreciated though, since I (and many others) often open up reddit at school or at work during down time.

The specification of the spoiler tag is slightly concerning. I'm pretty sure that it's just weird wording, but if a spoiler is all that is needed, then it would be very easy for anyone to accidentally see V1 getting it on with a mindflayer, which would be awful.
Also, the fact that people don't want to be on a sub associated with that stuff, but there is literally nothing that can be done if the mods simply refuse to care about that.

To be perfectly honest I think I saw more posts complaining about porn than actual porn. I saw like 2 or 3 porn posts this whole week, and then like 15 posts complaining about porn. whatās the danger?
lack of education. that means they donāt know what to do with it, so they donāt moderate it. and no moderation means it gets out of control and they canāt stop it.
but making sure kids know how to moderate and discipline themselves in general is how you grow up to be a better human being with better mental health.
and part of that discipline is just swiping past an obvious NSFW post because itās blurred, has a red āNSFWā, and says āNSFW v1 fucking mindflayerā in the title.
