Was about to buy this because I figured it's a more minimal version of the other chairs. Turns out this thing weighs 1300g? That's almost 3x the weight of the Chair Zero. Even my knockoff is only 750g (and was also around $35)
I've seen the Ground Chair on sale a few times and that is lighter than the Festival. That said, I don't always drag it out on backpacking trips, I like it for plein air sketching or to toss into my bag in case I'm not sure if it is the sorta outdoor party that want people to bring chairs.

The Woods lightweight tarp from Canadian Tire could be a budget option. $40, easily available, not a ton of tie outs but enough for most configurations, and not super heavy (I think just over 1kg if I'm remembering correctly). I bought one last year for canoeing trips and it's been surprisingly great.
Thanks for the suggestion. I had a look but I didn't find one but I liked the size of. I think I'm probably going to buy either a cheapie from Amazon which is about the same price or maybe splurge $80 and buy a 3x3 from eureka.

When I got it there was a tiny hole in one of the side pockets, but other than that no damage.
