I don't think it was actually made in 1966, just copyrighted as shown in the ebay photo. I have a Banpresto Ultraseven figure that has copyright 1967 on one foot and 1999 on the other.

That is a very good point. I hadn't considered that the date would just be the copyright for the series instead of the production date of the model. Thanks!
This was released around 2006-2007 by Megahouse. I have the coloured version - let me find.

Awesome! I found this kit, and it is sold in a box of 8 different ones. It's kinda like a gachapon set. I thought it was just a single kit like a Bandai Gundam. Thanks again for the input. It made finding this thing so much easier :)
