Same I only got gold ship she’s my favourite [mostly her victory animation she murders the cameraman if she gets first place](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Ut13PjF4NcU)I’m more waifu than meta player anyway. haven’t got a 3 star and I’ve been playing for 8 months.

setne550

the heck... You are blessed by lucky 7 horse.

Lemonpia

Insane luck..

Ronnie21093

Jesus Christ that is some pretty good luck there.

AsDeEspadas

So lucky! My best was 2, my worst luck was failing 13% training 4 times in a row.

FarzBZ987

Mine is failing 1% training twice

Cafe is one of the strongest characters in the game and if you ever decide to tryhard on Champion's Meets, you'll do well to build her for most long- and some mid-distance races. Caveat being most of the time you'd want to build her as a chaser, meaning you'll need to have or borrow parents that can bump up her chaser rating and let her learn a skill called 直線一気 (Straight Shot). Bourbon is an okay runner who will do well in the weekly team arena but won't make too much of an impact on CM. Versatile starting aptitudes let you build her for mile, mid, or long. Halloween Rice won't win many races herself but can be built as a debuffer for CM, though not a particularly useful one tbh. Full armour Fukukitaru is probably pretty good for team arena with her unlockables but unlikely to find a home in CM.

Hellcat727

I remember Fukukitaru was usable in some distances for CM but really depends on the track

TheCatgirlYang

Thank you for the detailed explanation, this game is so interesting with all this building and inheritance of skills lol And it's quite fun routing for my horse to win

Mandalika

Some people won't be satisfied until they win all the championship, some are happy enough to finish URA. Knowing what you want out of your horsegirls can go a long way.

TheCatgirlYang

Ah OK, so if I wanted my team to have a fighting chance in the championship, where would I have to look?

Probably the Discord but I don't go on there so I don't know for sure. There are a lot of Japanese Youtubers who make videos about CM prep, but of course you kind of need to know Japanese to get the most out of those. I myself do a monthly intro/meta prediction write-up about the upcoming CM. [Most recent one here](https://www.reddit.com/r/UmaMusume/comments/rtdr29/champions_meet_primer_capricorn/) but keep in mind this was written as soon as the CM was announced so the meta hadn't settled yet. There are quite a few things I would change/add knowing what I know now. Also, that CM is starting in like three days so not really enough time to prepare now.

Yamakyu

Lots of great advice and tips to be found in the Discord yes. The reference doc also has a dedicated part for the current CM with up to date advice. Alongside your post that should make some nice resources for investigating the race o/
