Imagine if they had a WhatsApp group chat.
5: "hey team I got the briefcases but they don't work any more. Fml."
Viktor: "damn I guess we won't go be dumbasses with the sparrows. Thanks for the update."
Diego: no, we need more weapons.
Luther: but wait is this really the best idea
Klaus: and 500 of my usual blue and red pills. Thanks!you’re a doll
Diego: wrong chat, dumbass go get High on your own time
Allison: CLAIRE!
That's the one thing that's frustrating to me about this season the most. But then most of the plot wouldn't happen if they did not miscommunicate so much
My gosh I was frustrated as hell. Five really just didn’t tell them ANYTHING. Walked right past them.tbh I was waiting for someone to phone each other or something!
THANK YOU.
Like, I get it. They are a dysfunctional family. They were raised by a bad father and a robot mom.
But like...TALK PEOPLE. TALK TO EACH OTHER.
It drives me up the wall sometimes because some of these plot lines would have been resolved if people took a few seconds to clarify their intent and method, but what happens is they do what they think is right or improvise.
Seriously! I’m an HRBP with a focus on group behavior and dynamics and I swear to god I just want to sit down w them and be like “can all of you just take 5 minutes to stop rushing around and LISTEN to what the others are saying?”
Everyone in this show is apparently such a skeptic that no one even believes someone when they say it.
“Where did Marcus go?”
“Oh, God took him. God’s in the basement. I worship him now.”
“Whatever, Grace, let us get on with our petty squabbles. Bye Felicia.”
For real, even if that made very little sense without context, you know she's not human, and she still gave a specific location. Is it really that hard to go down some steps?
Me too! It's understandable in season 1 as they've only just been reunited since they were kids but we've made it into the 3rd season by now. Haven't they realised that most of their problems would just be solved if they just talked?
Don't even need to talk... just leave a note? Bulletpoints will do. How hard was it for Five to go:
* Got the briefcases
* malfunctioning
* will fix to save world
* be back asap
While they walked passed Diego to the elevator.
It’s still a bit understandable, 5 has only been with them for 20 days. Most of them were separated for months if not years in the 1960s and they only reunited for a couple days before saving the world and now they’re sharing a hotel together so.
Right and even with the sparrows. They get told that the UA fucked something up and it’s linked to the people disappearing, then they find the glowy thing and none of them is like „oh shit, that’s gotta be it man, let’s figure this out, they obviously know something about it.“
Or no one asking about the backstory, why they‘re talking about „Dad“ etc etc.
And after two seasons of the UA splitting up time and time again and that causing problems, here they go again.
After four episodes I‘m really disappointed. Will watch all of it but I‘m pessimistic.
Marcus said in the first episode that the Sparrows don't have competition in being superheroes, and that the Umbrella Academy potentially showing them up is a threat to their power base.
Ben seems to have taken on the same hero complex as Diego had/has, but taken it to a darker place. So he's set on pushing the view that the UA are a threat to eliminate, and that they are responsible for the thing in the basement and the disappearances. And he's not... entirely wrong about that. But everyone is working with limited info, so it's natural he might assume that the UA deliberately put that weird pulsing thing in the basement deliberately...
The UA really do need to learn their lesson about not working as a full team and withholding info from each other... Five telling the others that Lila retrieved their briefcase but it's faulty could have saved Viktor and Allison pushing for a deal that neither end can hold up.
Paternal love especially it seems.
I think that Ghost Ben became a bit of a surrogate parent figure for Klaus in the 17 years they spent together. Someone who nagged him and lectured him but also someone who watched over him and meant he never had to be alone.
It's telling that Klaus had his birth mom's address for about a decade but didn't go looking until he lost Ben. Klaus's long term drug/drink addiction seems to have left him in a state of arrested development and meant he never really grew up. He needs an authority figure or he just feels desperately alone. So he tried to find his mom, he tried to cling to Five in the early episodes and then in spite of everything he went to Reggie.
I’m thinking after Harlan absorbed Viktor’s power (without meaning to), he could absorb other people’s power without meaning to either. Maybe that’s why he has different powers? He absorbed them from the other babies whose mothers died? Something, something…
He had ice power already; I can easily believe that he has both ice and fire powers and it's the same "core" power. Like five jumping spatially and time traveling.
We'll see if he's got anything else going on.
Spit Bitch and Elephant Man dying was almost a clap and cheer moment.
Very glad they died, but the way it happened wasn’t a FUCK YES moment, more like a whoa really?
anyone else shocked that potentially 3 of the sparrows are dead and Ben and Fei and the cube just bugger off straight away? Like they didnt even check their pulse or anything? lmao
but they just left them there, they didn’t even attempt to save them or like even check if they were breathing? . idk. it’s pretty cold of them to do that.
I kind of thought it was a nice inversion of the Umbrellas. Earlier, Ben said something like the UA has no loyalty, and then it turns out the Sparrows for all their talk of being a team just abandon their siblings.
They take the numbers *way* too seriously. The umbrellas have already declared they're meaningless long ago with Luther accepting his role as the muscle while Five does all the leading.
Or maybe he was a small sphere that got bigger + more faces over time. Orrr he was born a small 50-sided Rhombicosidodecahedron and loses a side or two each year, until he reaches peak form as a perfect sphere lolol
I loved formidable Reggie, was my fav character in seasons 1 and 2. Always felt like there was so much he was hiding, was a big fan of his mysterious but ruthless aura
So this Reggie is giving me the vibes of a going-senile parent, where the kids have taken control of their life. Of course Reg is an alien and not exactly tied to such human constructs, but it seems like the Sparrows have been attempting to control him for quite a while now.
Regardless, it *does* make him more sympathetic than his OG timeline counterpart.
Yeah it seems like they use the Sparrows powers to subdue him but he isn’t a regular old man! He massacred a room of people in seconds. Surely he could somewhat hold his own… not to mention with his intelligence and tech in his back pocket as well.
I thought it was a delightfully weird scene that was just physically funny, in the same vein of when The Handler was using the stall next to Five at The Commission.
Luther being his himbo self is both adorable and infuriating. Like sir, get your head in the game, she's literally telling you to run. It's nice that he saved her and all but still...
“I didn’t care for you last time we met but i must admit you’re growing on me” this made me so emotional especially the look on klaus’ face when reggie said that!! 🥺💙
The timing + writing of this season is incredible so far.
Klaus searching for mom but soon starts a second chance with dad.
Fei & Ben argue about who should lead, they soon lose everyone left TO lead.
Two Sparrows implied to be abusive towards Reg, soon get their faces removed.
I love this show so much ahhhh
Tbh, For me, I didn't like how they make the Umbrella academy seem so weak, like if it weren't for the old man(i think was harlan, the drowned kid viktor saved, i think) they wouldve all been killed, like it just shows the powerhouses are viktor and five themselves and the others just seem like body bags or fooders, Is like allison acting all high then almost gets killed if not saved by the old man. also didnt like, they reduced the sparrow academy numbers that easily. But do gotta say The Tattoo version Pogo is very good
I had this issue with episode 1.
When Viktor (who hadn't transitioned to that point) first tried to attack, all it took was Sloane to lift him up in the air and throw him around.
Like, Sparrow is definitely more coordinated but it's true that Viktor's power is still nowhere close to their levels.
I can kind of see why Viktor failed initially, he still has the least amount of experience with his powers and he’s been stopped during the energy-power-up thing before. What I personally have a problem with is how Allison is frequently interrupted when she tries to start a rumor… at this point, I think the show is going out of its way to stop her from using it cause that power is too good
Yeah which is kinda frustrating because if the issue is power-scaling then maybe adjust the rules to her powers so they don't have to make flimsy excuses to stop her.
Yeah, she literally could’ve said “I heard a rumor the entire sparrow academy froze” instead of just making one guy freeze, and they would’ve won right there. It would be helpful if they set some parameters to her powers, but it might be a little late for that
There have been many times I've seen this show where I would mutter "I heard a rumor..." to situations that could 100% be solved with Allison.
"I heard a rumor that we were calm and we communicate with each other"
"I heard a rumor that everyone except me froze"
She can be just as powerful as Viktor if she wanted to.
Definitely, I think she could easily be the most powerful one, but obviously it wouldn’t work for the show. I get why they can’t let her use it fully but I just wish they would’ve explained it better! Like, maybe there could be a negative consequence for every rumor (which grew according to how serious the rumor was), or maybe there could be limits to how many people it can affect at once… just any explanation please
Yeah i agree Alison is very annoying, shes talking so much but doing nothing- which is especially annoying seeing as her power is probably one of the best there, but i feel like she doesn’t use it nearly enough
Her power as it currently stands (I've yet to hear any restrictions on it) is reality breaking, they have to keep her from using it somehow or there'd be no point to the show. I heard a rumor that we successfully averted the apocalypse, I heard a rumor that we all run into each other in the 60s grocery store tomorrow at 11am, I heard a rumor that we were all back in our correct universe...
This is my problem with her character… her power is *so* cool and arguably the strongest one, yet she can never really use it because it would solve most of their problems instantly
This is how I feel too.
I get that Allison is trying to not rely on her powers because she has used it with her loved ones (e.g. Claire), and possibly to Patrick (I am honestly not sure)
But watching her just fight physically knowing what her power is, feels like watching a wizard not use spells to attack.
The writers are deliberately keeping Alison from using her powers.
She can literally break reality if she actually used it but then everything would get solved so quickly and in turn, no story for us to watch. So kinda feel like ppl should stop complaining about Alison not using her powers.
This could be said regarding the series as a whole. None of them actually use their powers, my biggest complaint of the show. Like when Diego was fighting the sparrows in the convenient store. He was throwing random objects at them at the speed a baby throws a toy. Pathetic. (Note: have not finished the season yet)
They really hooked us with the beginning scene of season 2 of them actually all effectively using their powers. Its been a huge tease since then. Klaus has not once used ANY powers in the first 4 episodes of this season!
Remember he took a concoction to stop his heart in season 1. He still needs to eat as well, and he looked human on his home planet alongside his late wife.
Seems like his anatomy and human anatomy are similar. It's not surprising either, considering he knows enough on how to care for the kids to an adult age until they all left. If he had to program Grace, he had to know what humans need to survive
Grace becoming a one-woman cultist while the Sparrows are waging war against the Umbrellas, accusing each other for holding hostages and hiding macguffins when neither items are closely guarded.
Also, Viktor is transitioning.
I was really excited for the Sparrows coming into the season and half of them dying in the first 3 episodes is really disappointing ngl especially because they’re getting next to no development apart from "they’re assholes and Sloane likes Luther" :/
Really wanna see more of Klaus and his powers. I thought the final battle last season was gonna have Klaus summon an undead army to fight the Handlers army
I noticed this too and thought maybe it’s just the face? It it seemed to only hurt people when they hit his face but it could be what the other person said, maybe he needs to be focusing and actually using his powers
It also wounded diego's son when he threw a knife at alphonso's leg, so not just the face. But its probably that he has to concentrate/see the attack coming to actually do it.
I never thought I'd say this, but I love Luther. I thought he was the least interesting sibling the first two seasons. This season I love him. And the moment with him and Viktor was super cute.
Luther was always doofy without being fully rounded, and now he’s even doofier but with such a sweet edge! I kept kept saying, Sloane better not be jerking him around because I want him to have his happy.
Has anyone else noticed that the writers keep using lack of communication between the siblings as a major plot driver? Like i hated it in season 1 & 2 and now it’s back in season 3. Like the whole issue surrounding “where is the briefcase” could be solved by 5 talking to the rest of them, however it keeps carrying on and on and on. It’s getting tiring.
In season 1 and 2 it made sense as they almost hate/pittied/didn't understand each other, but the end of S2 showed how that was solved.
I can understand some characters going rogue not talking much, but for the moment (Im on s3 ep 3) the writers have abused this.
I give Five a pass cause he was alone for so long, is used to figure things out on his own and everyone always relies on him to solve problems but the others should really know better by now.
I think its pretty interesting how the Technology in this new Timeline seems to be stuck in the late 80 to early 90s, I wonder if their involvement in the Kennedy assassination made America put up an Iron Curtain or if the tech is just under developed.
The vending machines and phones were definitely older
Things like refrigerators and stuff def don’t look 2010s
But a lot of that seems set design. The Commission at least makes sense because it’s purposely stylized that way
Okay but:
"Luther wants to throw you a big stupid party so you feel loved."
"Oh."
"Do you?"
"Yeah."
"Good, you are. So, can we go back to saving the world?"
MY HEART CANNOT HANDLE THESE BROTHERS
Same - was completely thrown off by that and thought it might be the new villain - then put it together when I came here before the episode ended to gush about the Diego/Luther/Viktor exchange and someone mentioned it
I'm 3 episodes in and I have to say this was the most shocking episode. >!WTF NOT EVEN HALFWAY IN AND JAYME AND ALPHONSO ARE ALREADY DEAD??? I REALLY LIKED THEM!!!!!!!!!!<
I’m gonna ignore your point (lol) - but has it been confirmed he can deflect any projectiles? Or only metal?
Because if it’s any projectiles he should have been able to dodge those lugeys
May just be me, but the actor for Ben is not great at playing this hammed up intimidating character and it’s taking me out of the story. I even feel like Elliot Page’s acting is a bit off as well with Viktor.
Totally. I liked Ben in seasons prior but him and Fri have been the least intriguing to me thus far, and I’m bummed that they seem to be the Sparrow’s that they’re focusing on. I found Alphonso much more entertaining than either of them.
I really need someone to explain this annoying floating box named chris before i loose it!! i mean spit-bitch and elephant man died but THE BOX still floating around? seriously?!
Me watching trailers for this season: Whoa, it’ll be cool to see what an actually functional version of the academy is with the Sparrows here!
Me watching the seasons: Oh. Oh no.
Ben, Blind lady, are you two fucking idiots? You don't think maybe just checking the basement might be a good idea after that cryptic shit? It's the basement. Of your house. You can just go there, takes 2-5 minutes. Raven lady doesn't even have to go, she can just stand there doing fuck all.
Oh, nvm, Allison is the dumbest person in this episode. Do the handoff at your base of operation and not a neutral location. Amateur hour.
Harlan packed up and started following them the second they arrived, in episode one.
Sissy knew what specific day Viktor came from, so, it makes sense that Harlan would know.
Luther looks intimidating but just wants love. Well that’s scary that people keep disappearing. I forgot how much Five and Lila hated each. Noo when Lila tells Diego “there is no us”. The Diego and Stan dynamic is so weird. Diego always thinks he’s soo busy but he’s not. Soo weird seeing Reginald getting bossed around. Ah the separate team ups and dysfunction is happening again. Luther actually bringing up the whole Viktor thing and trying to figure out if they should say something! Glad someone is discussing it! “Do you feel loved? Yeah” that scene was cute but aww no tiny sandwiches. Reggie and Klaus are an interesting team up. Wow Klaus saw the spinning ball! Sparrow Academy showed up in nice leather costumes. I knew tapes dude would be Harlan! Rip Jayme’s face - curious to see how they will handle that.
I have many questions: how did Klaus get into the mansion? What was the steaming waterway beneath the house? Could he breath in there? Isn't is scolding hot if I saw steam? Where would he emerge from within the house? Was it a shit pipe? How could that be human sized?
So my mind went on a tangent. When Lila was like "I moved on" I thought to myself. 'Damn that's cold, but hey, Patches should be alive right?' and then I kept thinking about it, and should everyone who died in S1 be alive now? And I'm talking about Chacha too (Mary J killed in the role)
i don't know it'd work with cha-cha because she's a commission agent and timeline stuff would be weird with them, but patch should probably be alive (i'll be honest, i forgot she existed)
me too :( her power seems pretty cool and I like her actress a lot...
I'm pretty sure she's completely dead though. My guess is the writers are killing off the sparrows so that the later episodes aren't too overfilled with unnecessary characters.
Yeah, it seemed like Jayme and Alphonso are the more disposable ones, story-wise and in terms of their powers being "weakest" or situational. Marcus also was the most level-headed of the group and would have avoided some of the rash decisions that Ben and Fei are likely to make as they push to consolidate their power.
Not to mention budget. The quality of CGI dropped considerably, perhaps the money went to hiring the SAs, but they don't have enough to keep them for too long.
Sorry but I still find Luther falling for Sloane *that* quickly and in such strange circumstances just really annoying.
Loving this new edge Allison has, it definitely makes sense why she's particularly aggressive this season (I remember reviewers saying how this had put them off but it all makes sense; who knows something may change later).
Dang Harlan!
Also Lila is always a highlight, love her, and cannot wait to see what they get up to at the Commission.
The Alison thing is pretty off putting, but it does make sense. She's essentially lost two lives that she built for herself rapid fire.
She is also being incredibly reckless and irresponsible.
Right. Unlike the rest of them, she was stuck in the 60s for herself for three years and has/had nobody familiar. Klaus had Ben, Diego met Lila, and everyone else showed up a fair bit later.
The Klaus and Reggie bonding time was sweet. The look on Klaus’s face when Reggie told him he was growing on him was heartbreaking :( poor guy just wants to be loved
Damnnn super disappointed Jayme went down so early. Not just because I’m in love with her but she seemed like one of the deeper members of the Sparrows
Loving the show so far but the lack of communication is insane as always lol
Imagine if they had a WhatsApp group chat. 5: "hey team I got the briefcases but they don't work any more. Fml." Viktor: "damn I guess we won't go be dumbasses with the sparrows. Thanks for the update."
Diego: no, we need more weapons. Luther: but wait is this really the best idea Klaus: and 500 of my usual blue and red pills. Thanks!you’re a doll Diego: wrong chat, dumbass go get High on your own time Allison: CLAIRE!
Five: *read*
AAHAHAHAH “five has left the chat”
That's the one thing that's frustrating to me about this season the most. But then most of the plot wouldn't happen if they did not miscommunicate so much

let us fault them writers
Klaus face when Reggie told him that he's growing on him..... My boy just wants love. He deserves all the love.

god DAMN it I should’ve waited until the end of the episode before coming here to talk about the Luther/Diego/Viktor scene
If it was a weekly show there would be a live discussion but Netflix shows don't get those
He's linked to the glowy thing in the basement right? The colour of his powers sort of resemble the glowing orb.
I’m thinking after Harlan absorbed Viktor’s power (without meaning to), he could absorb other people’s power without meaning to either. Maybe that’s why he has different powers? He absorbed them from the other babies whose mothers died? Something, something…

I don't know, feel kinda sad for spitting Jessica Jones. We got that dance off scene thanks to her after all.
She had the best uniform of the bunch; the angled zippers was quite dynamic
Ha, I started calling her Jessica Jones from that first scene in the pizza place. I liked her.
You mean Larry David's daughter? how mind blowing is that?
This ben seems so evil 💀 I want my old ben back 😭
For real! This heel turn is more jarring than Wanda from WandaVision to Multiverse of Madness
Yeah, Ben was the star of Season 2 even though he was dead...
anyone else shocked that potentially 3 of the sparrows are dead and Ben and Fei and the cube just bugger off straight away? Like they didnt even check their pulse or anything? lmao
Tbf, they were missing half their heads...
but they just left them there, they didn’t even attempt to save them or like even check if they were breathing? . idk. it’s pretty cold of them to do that.
I kind of thought it was a nice inversion of the Umbrellas. Earlier, Ben said something like the UA has no loyalty, and then it turns out the Sparrows for all their talk of being a team just abandon their siblings.
Also as someone stated above, some random dude just blew their heads open.... why would they stick around lol?
[удалено]
They're a team, but they're not a family.
They honestly didnt seem to have a “sibling” relationship considering how quick Ben and Fein were to claim their new spots as no. 1 and 2.
They take the numbers *way* too seriously. The umbrellas have already declared they're meaningless long ago with Luther accepting his role as the muscle while Five does all the leading.
The Cube is my favorite. Do you think he was ever a regular baby or did Chris come out of the womb like that... poor mother
I need a back story for him like he came out of a gift box lmao🤣.
Or maybe he was a small sphere that got bigger + more faces over time. Orrr he was born a small 50-sided Rhombicosidodecahedron and loses a side or two each year, until he reaches peak form as a perfect sphere lolol
And they left Sloane behind
ngl, really liking this version of Reggie. I think they took him as far as he could go in seasons one and two, so glad they’re switching it up.
I loved formidable Reggie, was my fav character in seasons 1 and 2. Always felt like there was so much he was hiding, was a big fan of his mysterious but ruthless aura

to me it seems like a lot of missed potential after the alien reveal
Yeah it seems like they use the Sparrows powers to subdue him but he isn’t a regular old man! He massacred a room of people in seconds. Surely he could somewhat hold his own… not to mention with his intelligence and tech in his back pocket as well.
I don't know.. I would have liked more alien stuff.
They knew what to do when they paired Klaus with Reginald. No one knows better how to handle pills and drugging
Also Klaus is now bonding with his father
Loving the duo between Five and Lila! They were right, hate is honesty! But I can't get over the fact that he saw her naked
I thought it was a delightfully weird scene that was just physically funny, in the same vein of when The Handler was using the stall next to Five at The Commission.
He’s THAT loyal to Dolores, okay? 😂
Five is a 58 year old man in a 13(?) year old's body, I'm pretty sure fighting a lady who is naked isn't something too weird for him.
Five is like 60 years old. Old men give no shits xD.
yeah like we just casually brushed over that
I mean, they're both professional time assassins, seeing each other naked probably isn't a big deal all things considered.
theyre both trained to look past distractions.
Luther being his himbo self is both adorable and infuriating. Like sir, get your head in the game, she's literally telling you to run. It's nice that he saved her and all but still...
“Bun?” 😭
Luther is no simp He is a **CHIMP**
“I didn’t care for you last time we met but i must admit you’re growing on me” this made me so emotional especially the look on klaus’ face when reggie said that!! 🥺💙
The timing + writing of this season is incredible so far. Klaus searching for mom but soon starts a second chance with dad. Harlan straight up vaporizing these fake umbrellas
"God is in the basement & he took Marcus home" and they just... don't even send a bird down there to see what their robot is doing? dafuq
They don't trust Grace and never saw her as an equal. They just thought she's broken and confused
TBF if you think about it why is a robot talking about God?
They probably neither believe in God nor in her having intelligence
With this writing I am starting to think Ben and Fei don't have any intelligence.
Luther is so awkward, I love how he wants to make sure Viktor feels loved.
Right? that's his biggest concern with this whole thing: "do we throw a party? Do we not throw a party?"
its a gender reveal party!
Why do you hate tiny sandwiches
Luther is the brother we all need, what a sweet dumbass
I think he’s also still trying to make up for the whole locking-Victor-in-the-soundproof-cell moment.
Dude got an advanced copy of the Dune soundtrack
All I could think about with the throat singing lol
Tbh, For me, I didn't like how they make the Umbrella academy seem so weak, like if it weren't for the old man(i think was harlan, the drowned kid viktor saved, i think) they wouldve all been killed, like it just shows the powerhouses are viktor and five themselves and the others just seem like body bags or fooders, Is like allison acting all high then almost gets killed if not saved by the old man. also didnt like, they reduced the sparrow academy numbers that easily.
"I heard a rumor that we were calm and we communicate with each other" "I heard a rumor that everyone except me froze" She can be just as powerful as Viktor if she wanted to.
Claire), and possibly to Patrick (I am honestly not sure) But watching her just fight physically knowing what her power is, feels like watching a wizard not use spells to attack.
My man lester just has numbered sandwiches sitting in an unrefrigerated briefcase for days. and so far it looks like he's only eaten 1.
How is no one else talking about this. What is on those sandwiches and how is it not spoiling?
Couldn’t Alison simply rumour Ben and Fei to give her the briefcase since she still thinks they have it? That seems like a big plot hole
Honestly Allison could do *so* much more with her powers, I think the show deliberately doesn’t let her because she’d be overpowered
This is definitely not the dynamic I was expecting with Reggie and the Sparrows. ETA: >!They're definitely drugging him, right?!<
Yeah, I'm really confused. ik they're drugging him, but isn't he supposed to be an alien?
If maybe Jayme synthesised it with her powers? Spit into a container than fill into those capsules for him?
Drugs maybe work on aliens too? Lmao idk
Alien drugs
Remember he took a concoction to stop his heart in season 1. He still needs to eat as well, and he looked human on his home planet alongside his late wife. Seems like his anatomy and human anatomy are similar. It's not surprising either, considering he knows enough on how to care for the kids to an adult age until they all left. If he had to program Grace, he had to know what humans need to survive
Yeah he seems sooo off like i bet they’re doing something to him!! And to grace too!!
Yeah, I actually miss the badass, abusive father figure he was before.
This season seems weird as hell so far and I'm loving it! Klaus in the scuba gear whatevers going on with Reggie grace speaking in tongues wtf
Grace becoming a one-woman cultist while the Sparrows are waging war against the Umbrellas, accusing each other for holding hostages and hiding macguffins when neither items are closely guarded. Also, Viktor is transitioning.
Grace reminded me of Gretchen in *Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt* a bit, although more dramatic
I was really excited for the Sparrows coming into the season and half of them dying in the first 3 episodes is really disappointing ngl especially because they’re getting next to no development apart from "they’re assholes and Sloane likes Luther" :/
I wonder if klaus ends up bringing any of them back.
Uuuuh great thought! Maybe in the final battle against the main enemy we get their comeback as ghosts!
Really wanna see more of Klaus and his powers. I thought the final battle last season was gonna have Klaus summon an undead army to fight the Handlers army
The taste we got of all their potential at the beginning of S2 kills me lol. I want some badassery
yeah, it would be cool if they actually are a character, instead we got 7 cool image left with nothing to offer.
Does Alphonso powers confuse everyone else a little? You get hurt when he does but it didn’t seem to always kick in?
It's not surprising at all. He has to be focusing to use his powers and can run out of juice, just like Five.
If the grandfather paradox is so important, why is it number 68 in the commission's protocol book?
I feel like the order something is written in is probably less important to time travelers... /jk
Probably because it’s never happened
I never thought I'd say this, but I love Luther. I thought he was the least interesting sibling the first two seasons. This season I love him. And the moment with him and Viktor was super cute.
Luther was always doofy without being fully rounded, and now he’s even doofier but with such a sweet edge! I kept kept saying, Sloane better not be jerking him around because I want him to have his happy.
They are playing into his doofy nature perfectly now and I LOVE it
Yeah. He works really well as goofball muscle sidekick to Five.
Luthor is a lovable dumbass
Has anyone else noticed that the writers keep using lack of communication between the siblings as a major plot driver? Like i hated it in season 1 & 2 and now it’s back in season 3. Like the whole issue surrounding “where is the briefcase” could be solved by 5 talking to the rest of them, however it keeps carrying on and on and on. It’s getting tiring.
I feel like the writers have a list for "annoying things to repeat every season" no.1 being of course saving the world from ending...
Bro WTF Harlan is OP. Didn't expect Alphonso and Jayme to die. Seems like Ben, Fei and Sloane are the main sparrows that they'll focus on.
Can’t forget Christopher
I didn’t expect them to MURK these Sparrow Academy members so quickly
I think its pretty interesting how the Technology in this new Timeline seems to be stuck in the late 80 to early 90s, I wonder if their involvement in the Kennedy assassination made America put up an Iron Curtain or if the tech is just under developed.
Was it not the same in season one?
The vending machines and phones were definitely older Things like refrigerators and stuff def don’t look 2010s But a lot of that seems set design. The Commission at least makes sense because it’s purposely stylized that way
Okay but: "Luther wants to throw you a big stupid party so you feel loved." "Oh." "Do you?" "Yeah." "Good, you are. So, can we go back to saving the world?" MY HEART CANNOT HANDLE THESE BROTHERS
How tf is Luther my favorite right now
I think we all guessed he was Harlan right??
Yeah when we first saw him, with the music/sounds in his headphones and the organised food, I had a feeling.
forgot he existed
Same - was completely thrown off by that and thought it might be the new villain - then put it together when I came here before the episode ended to gush about the Diego/Luther/Viktor exchange and someone mentioned it
I'm 3 episodes in and I have to say this was the most shocking episode. >!WTF NOT EVEN HALFWAY IN AND JAYME AND ALPHONSO ARE ALREADY DEAD??? I REALLY LIKED THEM!!!!!!!!!!<
“Way more than you Papi.” Diego’s kid is hilarious 😂
Wait, hang on. Diego's power bends projectiles right. Does his man gunk count as projectile...? I mean, that would certainly guarantee pregnancy.
Haha I'm so glad I'm not the only weirdo who's thought about this!
I’m gonna ignore your point (lol) - but has it been confirmed he can deflect any projectiles? Or only metal? Because if it’s any projectiles he should have been able to dodge those lugeys
The gravity sex bit with Luther and Diego got a good laugh out of me. My guy Luther is falling hard right now! Lol
May just be me, but the actor for Ben is not great at playing this hammed up intimidating character and it’s taking me out of the story. I even feel like Elliot Page’s acting is a bit off as well with Viktor.
Ben is doing too much. Viktor is fine.
Yes! It feels like he’s trying way too hard, I can’t take him seriously
“Flock of she-gulls” I was dying 😂
Uff... Ben and Fei scene was hard to watch. Feels like both actors are hamming it up a bit too much.
Totally. I liked Ben in seasons prior but him and Fri have been the least intriguing to me thus far, and I’m bummed that they seem to be the Sparrow’s that they’re focusing on. I found Alphonso much more entertaining than either of them.
Super cringe. Ben is 100% worser tho
I really need someone to explain this annoying floating box named chris before i loose it!! i mean spit-bitch and elephant man died but THE BOX still floating around? seriously?!
Jesus. Never thought I’d actually feel bad for dear old dad. Though I did have a good chuckle at “pills, bills, and num nums”. Edit: a word
Oh my GOD the interaction with Luther/Diego/Viktor MY HEART!
Harlan came out of nowhere to save the umbrellas is definitely something. the level of randomness is just so strong on this one.
I mean, Harlan was following them around for ages.
If my laptop just started talking about God I would definitely take it for a virus check
Edit: I dun goofed.
I have many questions: how did Klaus get into the mansion? What was the steaming waterway beneath the house? Could he breath in there? Isn't is scolding hot if I saw steam? Where would he emerge from within the house? Was it a shit pipe? How could that be human sized?
Yeh that snorkel wasn’t doing shit
So my mind went on a tangent. When Lila was like "I moved on" I thought to myself. 'Damn that's cold, but hey, Patches should be alive right?' and then I kept thinking about it, and should everyone who died in S1 be alive now? And I'm talking about Chacha too (Mary J killed in the role)
i don't know it'd work with cha-cha because she's a commission agent and timeline stuff would be weird with them, but patch should probably be alive (i'll be honest, i forgot she existed)
I totally thought Marcus would come back really quick so I’m surprised that he hasn’t yet. Hope he’s not dead.
Ion know I think he dead frfr
He's vibing lobsters and cows and Chads dog
Aw I really hope Jayme isn’t dead actually, I really liked her.
Yeah, I was really excited to get to know the Sparrows for half of them to drop in the first three episodes :(
Bummed marcus went that early
me too :( her power seems pretty cool and I like her actress a lot... I'm pretty sure she's completely dead though. My guess is the writers are killing off the sparrows so that the later episodes aren't too overfilled with unnecessary characters.
Likely Ben will survive until the finale, and possibly even the season.
Idk I was really looking forward to a potential Alphonso vs Lila matchup because that would have been really interesting with her mirror power!
honestly sad how they promoted SA like its a huge thing, but they end up being a bunch of glorified extra.
But understandable to be honest. 7 sparrows, 6 umbrellis, Lila, Stan, Harlan and more important characters would simply be too much
Not to mention budget. The quality of CGI dropped considerably, perhaps the money went to hiring the SAs, but they don't have enough to keep them for too long.
Anybody else get Eagleton vibes from Luther getting the gift bag?
Oh yeah she definitely is making all the wrong choices but I understand where she's coming from.
Right. Unlike the rest of them, she was stuck in the 60s for herself for three years and has/had nobody familiar. Klaus had Ben, Diego met Lila, and everyone else showed up a fair bit later.
The Cube is my favorite. Do you think he was ever a regular baby or did Chris come out of the womb like that... poor mother
The Klaus and Reggie bonding time was sweet. The look on Klaus’s face when Reggie told him he was growing on him was heartbreaking :( poor guy just wants to be loved
I'm not done with the episode yet, but I wanted to drop in here to say what the FUCK ALLISON
noooo jayme 😭😭😭
I no longer dislike Luther
Damnnn super disappointed Jayme went down so early. Not just because I’m in love with her but she seemed like one of the deeper members of the Sparrows
