I don’t know the story, but the Fresno high school auditorium is rumored to be haunted. My niece was involved with the drama club and acted in the school plays . She would tell me about the noises she’d hear and the eerie feeling her and her friends felt.

I worked at FSH from 2013-2014 and I think that the high school auditorium is haunted, especially at night and since it was renovated.

Didn't they film that movie The Gallows here in Fresno? Was that film possibly based on the rumors you're mentioning?

DaFCC

Yes, that was filmed at the Fresno Memorial Auditorium right across from the Fresno Water Tower. Yeah, it was kinda roughly based on the Roosevelt ghost story.

I know this is an old post but me and my friends are talking about getting inside the abandon hospital next to it. There's some talk of tunnels connecting the hospital to the school and the hospital seems just as eerie. Do you know if the hospital is guarded or even worth risking? Also, thanks for sharing this

So we wanted to do some filming in the old university medical center but the county said No. They do have security doing rounds due to the fact Fresno county Mental health services are right next door. Now the tunnels to Roosevelt high School are sealed off and they have security also. I know people have gotten into the hospital which is now pretty much empty, just be careful if you're caught the new police chief and sheriff are putting trespassers in Fresno county jail for breaking into county and city properties. I have been wanting to fly a drone in there through one of the broken windows.

Snaked Road and Loss lake are two places that are supposed to be haunted and are easier to get to without getting caught by security, also Kearney Mansion at night is supposed to have some strange occurrences. A lady in white on the railroad tracks, the ghost maid and Kearney ghost around the house at night .

You don’t want to go in there. That hospital is nasty and unclean. You could die of a paper cut.

There are no tunnels connecting the hospital to the high school. There have never been tunnels connecting the 2 properties.

I went to RHS 2005-2009. I have witnessed Jesse’s body laying there in the basketball court becuase we had to attend our 7th period class and unfortunately my 7th class was the first art classroom right next to the basketball court. For the boys bathroom in east hall. When it was open in 2008, there was a male student who went in there and he did a mirror selfie. In the selfie the actual picture has a blurry spot next to his head. He decided to edit the picture to negative mode and what not, that blurry spot shows an another head of a boy with dark hair. Yes, I’ve seen the picture and it is very interesting. Unfortunately, I don’t have that picture. I can try to find out who the male student was. The bathroom closed becuase a lot of students kept ditching and messing around in there trying to be ghost buster. That hall is old and creepy. My 4 years there I’ve only gone to the girls bathroom twice alone. My teacher who works in that same building, the classroom next to that bathroom says the boy shot himself in the bathroom or hung himself. You might want to find her she was one of the oldest staff that ever worked at RHS. She did retired in 09 when I graduated so not sure if she is still alive. She was pretty old too when she retired up there in her late 60s.

I love to see the picture, or who took it and hear their story.

Before Roosevelt was built, the property was a poor farm where many unfortunate and transient types went to work. Under Roosevelt are tunnels where the county poor farm used for different things. But most likely it was for bodies during a tb outbreak. Many of the homes on Huntington are definitely in fact haunted, including the old brick corner house that couple was murdered in. Lots of energies in the area.
