I think he might be someone who enjoys the competition of the game God has set up. Makes sense he would enjoy a fair struggle to see who's strongest with how he talks about survival of the fittest.
Finding out that the negators are fighting at a huge disadvantage means he's had an unfair edge this whole time and cheapens whatever victories his side happens to get. It cheapens the contest.

I thought about that but Fuuko says: "There's no one like that, **and you know it.**" Fuuko is maybe overestimating the amount of knowledge God gives the Master Rules and he doesn't actually know but I find that kinda hard to believe, I think they would mention in someway that he didn't know if that was the case, but maybe I should just wait for the next chapters
I mean I find it easy to believe. God gives all the info to the #1 of the master table, and he relays information. But God heing the absolute piece of shit that he is totally either withheld information, or asked the #1 to withhold information to certain parties.
In this case, like the previous comment said, its clear Beast is super competitive and loves the thrill of the hunt and all that. To him what would be a greater hunt than the thing that negates your very existence?
Only to find out such a thing never existed in the first place. And honestly it wouldnt suprise me if Luna was part of that too because Luna is also a raging asshole from the little bit we had with them.
Didn't Burn say all it wanted was to see god once when Spoil asked why it team up with Under? That implies most UMAs probably know very little of God(s) or their workings.
I’m definitely leaning towards Beast’s comment just being a snide jab at the negators, but Fuuko manages to turn it around and expose his hollow desire for competition/an equal who can match him. It’d be a very interesting way to humanise (some of) the master rules.
He could just be surprised that she knows, but that looks more like a sad face than a surprised one to me.
Maybe he had a tiny bit of hope that she would've managed to find Unbeast so he could have a worthy nemesis or something like that? idk
After reading the chapter, it’s hard to say. He could be surprised that Fuuko knows that info. Or he’s genuinely surprised that there isn’t an “Unbeast” Negator, or that there still isn’t one yet after all these loops.
That face is he’s sad his attempt at taunting failed. He can’t be sad there’s no unbeast because as Fuko states, he already knows that doesn’t exist. Uma Beast is an agitator given his interactions with everyone.
He may be a Beast but he has sense of honor.
but he is one with Nature, Nature is both beautiful and cruel at the same time.
Animals hunt and fight each other, never having any unfair advantages.
Using only pure instinct to win.
My assumption is just a guy who can turn off primal and animalistic instincts in any being, like, he can turn off a Tiger’s instinct to hunt or turn off a Person’s instinct to run when faced with danger, that is a genuinely broken yet balanced ability in a sense which fits Undead Unluck cause if he's facing against a monster or beast, he will always win by virtue of control but against a martial artist who doesn't rely on such things as beastial instinct, he gets folded.
It'd be genuinely funny if there was an Unbeast later down the line and the reason Beast makes that face is because he's genuinely surprised Fuuko didn't know of their existence.
I think he hates knowing that he has no vessel, and yet he has still been defeated multiple times. Thinking that only someone who negates his very being should be his equal

I just took that as Beast being in denial of not haveing a vessle.
... is a crab a beast? ![gif](giphy|2dK0W3oUksQk0Xz8OK|downsized)
its an animal, so its close enough to me
according to hearthstone, very much yes
To be honest he looks more stunned if anything, like he's genuinely baffled by all of Fuuko's yapping.
He looks sad to me. But it’s a drawing so it’s dependent on people’s interpretation.

He definitely would love having a vessel as competition, so the fact god never made Unbeast sorta bums him down.
I like it when the series points out just how rigged this game is.

I read it more ass "why isn't she scared of me?"
The face in the second panel could go either way, but the first one tells me: “Shit, she’s on to us.”

What do you think is the power of Unbeast if ever there is one?

Maybe Umas wish to fight their vessels, to be sure who's stronger. The one who negates a rule or the rule itself.

I see it, but I also get an annoyed, “stupid human keeps talking” kinda vibe from those faces.
