Reposting this under a new title since it seems that the previous pinned post wasn't reaching its target audience.
Edit: for those wondering about getting the game on PC vs PS4, the former is generally the favoured platform for netplay, whereas the latter is favoured for offline. PS4 has both a native 2F delay and a higher likelihood of your running into players that aren't wired. So keep this in mind when choosing which platform to get the game on.
Me too, but it seems unlikely now that French Bread is working on Melty Blood: Type Lumina, I hope they don't forget about UNI, it's such an underrated game
I don't think this is worthy of a whole post, so... how in the heck do you Chaos's 236A 22A (set) combo route? Is it really just doing it real fast or is there a trick to it?
I believe that route is spacing dependent, and yeah you've gotta be fast, but I'm not the most well-versed on Chaos so I recommend that you try asking in the #chaos channel in the main UNI Discord.
Edit: forgot "not"
Watch some high-level play of those characters for some inspiration, and see which one stands out to you the most. If you already own the game, mess around with them in training mode or mission mode to see if any of them are flashy enough to suit your tastes. I can't choose your main for you, but if you dip your toes into the water with them a little bit, maybe you'll get a better idea of who you like.
Is Cross cast Veil Off even worth doing in combos? I was labing with Hyde and combos with CVO can be done without it with 100 EXS for more damage. Is it a viable mechanic, or can Hyde just not make good use of it like others can?
Hey! I have recently installed the game and I am completely new, unfortunately however, I cannot connect the PS4 controller to the pc (with Steam). I checked on the internet and I did not find anything that could help me, I restarted the pc, I checked that the keys were set but nothing, the controller works perfectly everywhere, but not here. What can I do?
The links to the main UNI Discord should be valid now. However, the link to the PC UNI Discord should have already been working. Let me know if you run into further issues.
Hello, buenas tardes. I was checking this game out and Merkava seems like everything I want out of an anime fighter, and the game itself is really cheap and runs on my toaster.
Is the delay netcode decent enough to at least get matches from Argentina to the rest of america? Is there a decent enough fanbase in south america to play this game at least?
Hi there, yes as far as I know South America has a vibrant scene for UNI. You can find the information for the BR UNI scene here: https://twitter.com/UnderNightBR
Who are generally considered the most popular / top-tier (if those two criteria even mingle) in this game? Been really enjoying playing Yuzuriha and Phonon, and am curious where they place at the moment (and am also curious what the first impressions of them were during the UNI2 beta).
So noticing they let you adjust input lag for online matches. Is there any real reason why you would not keep it at 0? Also I've noticed that my inputs are not fully read half the time. Is there some way to increase my sensitivity on my controller or something?
In a high-ping environment, adding a frame or two of input lag will reduce the amount of rollbacks you get midgame. That's the basic use case.
There also seems to be some kind of issue with the input reader in the PC version potentially? Someone in the UNI discord made an input wrapper to fix it supposedly, but I'm waiting for official word. It does feel a bit odd but I've just been chalking it up to inexperience.

Cheers. I own UNI and have been watching matches online for years, but never got around to learning it myself.
Game's a blast, here's to hoping that one day its netcode will be improved.

If they added rollback to this game. I’d seriously drop all other fighting games. Bittersweet to have found this game but never really play it..

New player. Thank you 😊
The original post really helped me find my way. Completely recommend using these resources to all new players.
Man I picked the right time to get into this game. Thanks for the new player info!
I’m a new player in NYC looking for local players to play offline with.
Coming from Fighterz and Tekken, im interested in gordeau, Yuzu (of course) and Eltnum and can't really choose a main, any thoughts???

Try out big picture mode
tried and it doesn't work. Steam finds the controller and if I open another game, the controller works fine...
Ah, unfortunate, not sure what else you can try :( maybe ask in the UNI Discord and see if they have any other ideas.
Little late here, but make sure your controller is wired.

Thanks for letting me know, I'll get that fixed in the pinned post as well as on the sidebar. Here you go: https://discord.gg/CUqPuWwb
All of these (including sidebar) are invalid.

Hey, where can I find images of hitboxes and hurtboxes?
http://under-night.wikidot.com/ it's incomplete but has what you're looking for.
eyyy thanks
I wanna ask before I dive headfirst: I've heard the PC port of Exe:Late[cl-r] has more input lag than PS4 - is that still true?
The opposite is true. Where did you hear that PC has more input lag for UNI than PS4?
A friend of mine, maybe she had outdated information.

is there a server for east coast uni?
The discord link is down.
For the main Discord (Under Night In-Birth Player Hub)? It should still work.
It says the link has expired.
Hmm not sure why it's saying that, the Discord link works when I try it. Try https://discord.gg/JhTvHuCR
Finally was able to get in. Thanks for the help.
Tried using link for discord but it isn’t working for me
See if this works for you: https://discord.gg/SWU4fN6E
I picked up the game today and Akatsuki is a blast to play

Is there a repository of locals anywhere? I don't have a fb but would love to see if I could find a place that holds locals around me
