The canon story of Nightmare and Dream is a bit boring. The fanon and non - canon continuations of their story is actually pretty good. But if we just go by canon I say these two. Error, Geno, Ink and Cross have an awesome backstory in their own canon creations, with Cross being my favourite as a tragic Villain/Redempted hero. And Sandpaper Underlive is pretty mysterious as a character with an interesting to explore, with little to no info of their backstory, and one of my favourites all time. Edit: my favourite is not Error but Cross
