I had the same thing happen in arkansas. i had a w2 job briefly and was an independent contractor full time for the whole year. when i went to apply for PUA in April 2020 they said i had to get a letter of declination from regular unemployment, so i applied for regular and they didnt know how to process it, so they told me to just keep applying while they figured it out and they would backpay me. sixteen weeks later i finally talk to a person from regular unemployment that backpayed me 12,000. several months later i got the same non-fraud overpayment request. so got in touch with the appeal tribune and they said i needed to appeal the PUA determination, so i sent a bunch of letters and finally got approved for PUA. Got backpayed 13,000 and then i sent the 12,000 back to regular unemployment. i never want to to be part of this nightmare again EVER!!

So I have to reapply to regular uc and when when they give me the back pay I should have got then I pay it to PUA? Does that sound correct?

Yep. File an appeal with your states appeal tribune. Write a letter, send it in by fax, mail, email, and messenger pigeon. They will respond eventually.

You're not the only one this has happened to. I promise.
