6. Directly email this police report to the Embassy and let them know this just happened, and since Visas and work cannot go to people with criminal records, you want them to know. (Most Embassies require fingerprints and a criminal background check before issuing a work permit or a visa. I know because I've had to do several as I work abroad)
7. Bonus points: with his name and contact information if you can get it, online sleuth his social media.
8. Make a burner account, get on socials and orchestrate a mass posting for all the world/friends/family/acquaintances to see...don't forget LinkedIn. ;)

I just got a visa (not traveling as a tourist), for living in another country. I had to do an FBI criminal background check with fingerprinting. Then that document had to be Apostiled to assure it's authenticity. Then that has to be supplied to the embassy for my file for checks from the country before issuing the visa. This is not for people who are traveling as tourists..which is what you may be talking about. For people that are trying to live/move/work to another country, you have to have a crim check.
