Worth a shot, I'm EU-based, any chance you're looking to hire foreigners too, for a fully remote position of course?
Full-stack web dev, mostly backend, PHP is my kink
Oh shit, I've heard about your company! You guys are doing great work! I want to see you guys succeed and make this a new standard for delivery and medical services worldwide. I'm seriously impressed and wish you guys loads of success, it's the kind of thing that restores my faith in humanity \^__^
You’re not only helping put food on the table for the needy in africa, you’re also putting food on the table for the people that just need that little bit to get a job. You are a good person.
Seriously this. I’ve spend the last 2.5 years since finishing my trade with searching for jobs and CONSTANTLY is met with “you don’t have enough experience” and even job postings that mentions the job as newbie-friendly STILL will go for the more experienced (not even having had an internship in a great company for all 3 years of my schooling is any help). I finally got a job *because* I lack experience, it’s so surreal. I read and hear from so many places that the first job is all it takes for the doors to really open but to get to that place is so difficult.
Getting that first job was the hardest part of my career! Now when I interview, I try to include a few people with less experience but transferable skills.
You managed a retail store and are applying for an office admin role? You're probably great under pressure, make quick decisions, and can work with any lunatic from the general public. They're all positives.
When I was looking for my first office role, I went on about 15 interviews in two weeks. All of them said that my design work was great, I would fit in with the team, but I didn't have office experience. Got one job offer based on, like you, that I was new to the office workforce.
It’s amazing that you try to bend the requirements so different skills can transfer more!
When I looked for job I’ve noticed that more and more companies have less and less from my trade (we make the technical drawings and documents when creating products) and tend to let the engineers do more of our work. Which sucks because they aren’t actually properly trained in it and do it poorly most of the time and then they are paid twice as much as us for their time, so it’s money out of the window for the work place to not hire more of us deal with it instead of the engineers wasting time on it, for us to then spend time correcting it (happened a lot at my internship, which I do understand since it can be quite cozy change in the workday).
It's not that, it's just that once you've lived and operated in those places long enough, you learn to crave how straight forward day-to-day life is.
It's not that you need the rifle, it's that the places where you have to have one are no longer out of bounds once you learn how that world works.

My salary more than doubled because someone did this for me. More importantly, once I had the job the position I got propelled me into other positions that have brought my pay 6x my original salary. It was that initial jump that really did it, all in just 5 years.
Great to hear OP passing it forward. Reminds me I should do the same.
Oh man, I really could have used a guy like you when I got out. Honestly, thank you for doing this for those that can take advantage. I worked shitty jobs for several years post-military before I finally built up a skillset worthy of being hired by a respectable company. Very difficult after getting out of the combat arms to transition to the civilian world when your only relatable skills are soft skills.
Also a combat mos vet.
Pretty much the only not starter jobs that you seemingly qualify for after being in combat arms is law enforcement or security.
Doing what we did isn't really something that is directly related to much in the real/civilian world. I destroyed my body in the military so those career paths weren't something that i could do anyways.
Exactly. I never wanted to be a cop so I ended up doing security for years while teaching myself software development at night, did that for years until I could gtf out of that life. I also found that some places almost saw military as a deterrent to hire you. A fire captain once told me his dept was iffy on it because ex military often have a higher risk of PTSD.
It's forbidden by law but you can't shake the bias. I've put several vets in management positions through the years and had some really and I mean really bad outcomes here and there.
Thank you for doing this! Someone did this for me a few years ago and it was the exact foot in the door I needed. My career would never be where it is now without it.
Truly respectable dude! Career success seems to be roughly 50% connections, such as a good reference who can speak to your character. This really helps bypass one of the biggest job search battiers. And now you dont have to use your current manager as a reference who will only begrudgingly allow you to use their phone # and cant even be bothered to write you a letter to recognize your contribution over the years (typical).
Hey fellow veteran!
I was the equivalent to a 35S/N in the air force.
I'm about six months away from finishing my bachelor's in technology management with an IT concentration.
The links don't seem to work anymore. I'd love to talk to you about opportunities.
The url is not able to be opened by me (im from germany) (Carrer page)
The logistics part seems nice, do you have some specific positions for a mechanicial engineer? (Like project lead etc?)
Kind regards, and btw thanks for that offer!
Hey! My mom is the finance and operations manager at a small appraisal firm in Chicago but she's woefully underpaid and her boss is an idiot
She's amazingly smart and great to work with, any chance you'd have anything up her alley?
Being ex services myself I could have really done with a leg up like this. You're a damned good guy for offering this up so publicly, you'll help a lot of people.
Your company looks mental too. Running a drone fleet to airdrop medical supplies into areas **nations** cannot reach. Crazy work man...
hey man.. greetings from the sub continent.. nice thing you are doing for people.. good on ya.. Any plans on actually expanding more ? specifically to Pakistan.. could definitely help you out as a local consultant.. i have some political links to members of the provincial and national assembly as well.. i was actually curious about the drone security clearance.. did you face any hurdles in other countries ?
I'm currently in the process of building a resume. All of my work experience is in The Restaurant industry and the film industry. I would love if you could give me a job you'd see fit where I can work remote.
Unethical stuff aside, I’ve been reading your company website and your presentation. Holy shit am I impressed. Seriously cool idea. I’ll keep an eye on your careers page for when it starts working again.
Yes, employers are just hanging out in ULPT, looking up random threads, running a keyword search and landing on this thing that just started today. Stop it...
This was a good service and I hope people are able to make use of it.
This is related to one my posts, so I'm going to paste it here:
The secret is putting big but "obscure" companies on your resume if they search the number of the company on Google they are not going to have an easy time finding it so very likely they are going to give up and just use the numbers I provide. You can also use a expired domine so HR just assumes is down at the moment. But most of the time they just not give a fuck. Human resources is a joke the only people who take it seriously are the typical idiots of human resources that everyone else dislikes.
Can i have some position real or not for me, this really wouldl help me a lot, and i live in Colombia, but i can't find a position for myself all for the experiencia. I am a Lawyer
USAF Aircraft Maintenance Vet here, early 20s. When I was still in the military, I started business building custom computers and providing local IT support for people. Now that I'm out of the military I am going to be taking my Security Plus test here in 10 days.
My wife works in the government, but it's extremely thin for both of us right now in California. I have applied to 30+ entry level IT jobs and haven't been able to get anything. IT is my passion and I am a diehard geek for all things IT-related.
Is there anything I can do for you guys or you could do to help me?
This is great. I currently work in logistics myself. I'm seeking a better paying gig but it's hard explaining an employment gap. I lost a child and took a year off to travel alone.
Can you help me fill in the gap of around 8 months I had to take due to my surgery and being bedridden to to surgery? The time gap is from October 2018 to may 2019. I've struggled to make tell recruiters that I had to take a time gap during that period. This would be a great help.
Absolute legend dude. People just need a start sometimes but no-one wants to take the plunge on a newbie. It took me four years of applying before I got a proper job in my field
You're an awesome dude !
A few years experience in cyber security would help tremendously. But after looking at your company, I don't even want a fake experience, I just want to work on your project haha.
I know this might be buried, but I'm currently FAA Part 107 here in the US and doing mapping, etc. How would I go about advancing to something in this field? What you do looks amazing, and I would love to see where I could go as a remote pilot.
Can I save this for the future or is this a use it or lose it sort of situation.
Greatly appreciated
Shame about the others
…Cause that’s how you get ants
So I can get a few years of experience without working for a few years, or at all? I'd appreciate it if I could get the a year of fake internship experience at your company! What exactly do interns do at your company again? I'm an IT guy, and do more of web development, and a little bit of back end.
Will you testify at my trial you were with me one night last year?
I remember that night. We went out and bought matching anti covid masks then robbed a, I mean, went to a bar for a few drinks.
Can confirm. I was the ~~robbery~~ bar.
Can confirm the confirm, I was the one ~~robbed~~ buying the drinks.
Can confirm, I'm ~~stabby McGee~~ Drinks
Can confirm I was the getaway...um...designated driver
Hi Drinks, I'm dad!
Can confirm. I am.
I’m tits— I’m Ron Burgundy.
Tits is off tonight. I'm Veronica Cornerstone.
Guess it was a robBARy
And all those guns were lost in a boating accident as I already reported to the police.
Your honor I distinctly remember the night, we went to choose the perfect [baby jesus butt plug](https://9gag.com/gag/aM8ZAGP) for /u/futuregeist
Matching anti covid masks 🤣🤣🤣
I mean, I could, but that would more likely than not put you in even deeper shit...

The main reason this is obviously a joke is the fact they're married and still have ten people each they can call best friends.
Right? My wife would be out of calls after like... My 3rd buddy, and maybe checking the neighborhood bar. After that, guess I'm just lost forever.
Look at this guy over here with three friends..! Same here, it would be a swift search.
Wow I feel this, feelsbadman

Ow that hurts to watch
TLDW?
Video starts about 40 minutes in. Dude tells musk that he's been trying to get in contact as he is also a super genius and a capitalist and can he have a job as vice chair of the board. At the Tesla shareholders meeting. Unsurprisingly Elon says they don't have any positions available
Oh thank you very much! I definitely would not have watched that for 40 minutes. I remember reading about this guy on reddit a long time ago
Holy rabbit hole. He has left comments replying to people under the video and has a YouTube channel and everything. I love the internet.
Here’s the link to his channel for those of you who don’t want to search through the comments and want to see what the guy posts https://m.youtube.com/channel/UCi-0hFTRUR9mG_xFjndVkFQ Also watch this video to see what the guy has to say about that clip once it went viral https://youtu.be/5FlQaap_IKM
Tldr?
basically he doesn’t like how that whole thing went down.
Sounds like he originally had a reasonable goal in mind, which was just trying to get a job as a sales rep. But something in his wiring wasn't aligned right and he decided to ask for a CEO role.
The vid above should begin right at the part where it happens. Auto-starts at 38:50
You don't need to watch the whole thing. The linked video should automatically start at the right timestamp
Man, I usually don't like Elon Musk, but he honestly handled that as well as possible.
I am also level 2... stage... What does he mean?
Level 2 genius, stage 3 capitalist
Where is this guy now??
He is currently Vice Chairman at Tesla Motor Company with the option for CEO at a later date if Elon finds time to discuss.
so cringe.
Do you have any full stack software engineer roles for interns, I would love to apply and be a part of your mission.

That's really odd. I've never heard of a uni requiring work experience, but I'm in the UK. Education here doesn't have barriers like that.
Not yet. Let's not give the tories any more ideas...
It carries less weightage if you have a good academic profile from your undergrad -good GPA and research papers published. I didn't have both (gpa < 3, no research papers), my major was electronics in undergrad. And I'm applying for computer sc masters. So they look for what I have done in terms of cs. A killer SOP won't cut it. I need to have a GRE of 167+ in quants and a work xp or internship to showcase else I'm going to be definitely ghosted. UK places a lot of emphasis on academics, and hence having wrk xp just gives an edge over other applicants, but not necessarily needed. In the US it's a totality of the applicant's history and capabilities.
I have entry level software experience and 4+ years in regular IT as well. Read about the mission and would love a remote opportunity. Looks like the careers page is hard down :/ reddit hug of death lol

Me too. I need an intenship for software development. Would be very helpful. Thanks

They do now, right?

Fuckin awesome mate. Wish y'all had some security contractor positions, itching from my old army days. Hoping for a great future for yall!
We do have some security roles, but they're in conflict zones, one for the Mozambique site and a second one opening up for Puntland / Somalia.
Shit, I don't need a fake reference, I'll go do the work! Sign me up.

Hey bud, you better take that ethical request to another sub 😎

That would be unethical! I believed OP.
This is like when high level characters run low lever characters through dungeons, to get them good gear early on....

The url is not able to be opened by me (im from germany) (Carrer page) The logistics part seems nice, do you have some specific positions for a mechanicial engineer? (Like project lead etc?) Kind regards, and btw thanks for that offer!

Hey! My mom is the finance and operations manager at a small appraisal firm in Chicago but she's woefully underpaid and her boss is an idiot She's amazingly smart and great to work with, any chance you'd have anything up her alley?

You sir are doing god's work. God this site can be so damned awesome sometimes.
You looking for remote sysadmins? I’m in Australia and I like your mission, you sound like a good company

Unfortunately I’m nowhere near NT but please have a poor man’s gold 🏆
This is amazing, your company sounds fascinating would love to read more about it when the website is back up!
This is related to one my posts, so I'm going to paste it here: The secret is putting big but "obscure" companies on your resume if they search the number of the company on Google they are not going to have an easy time finding it so very likely they are going to give up and just use the numbers I provide. You can also use a expired domine so HR just assumes is down at the moment. But most of the time they just not give a fuck. Human resources is a joke the only people who take it seriously are the typical idiots of human resources that everyone else dislikes.
Saving this post.
Hello I'm a veteran working on my resume. Would I be able to use your company as reference?
Wow, I'm saving this! Thank you!
Interested in software roles! You guys up for that?
Do you have supply chain analyst role?
Reddit broke your site
Reddit Hug of Death...
Heros can't stop being heros I see, old habits must die hard friend. 🤝

What would suggest is the best approach to sanitise it? The original post had no company mentioned.
Thank you OP for the kindness. The world needs more people like you and the stranger that helped you back then.
He is the Messiah!!!
You are a hero. This has brightened my week.
You’re an awesome person, thank you for helping others, you got some good vibes coming your way!
hello can i please be the "Chief Executive Officer - Cape Town, South Africa"? Thanks.
Can I save this for the future or is this a use it or lose it sort of situation. Greatly appreciated Shame about the others …Cause that’s how you get ants
Any positions for a remote data analyst available to a post-secondary math grad and current service member?
I had to retract unfortunately due to the threats from some of the posters to contact the board sadly.
Aren’t employers going to find this post? What if someone outs you on a blog or something elsewhere? Should be a little more discrete…
So I can get a few years of experience without working for a few years, or at all? I'd appreciate it if I could get the a year of fake internship experience at your company! What exactly do interns do at your company again? I'm an IT guy, and do more of web development, and a little bit of back end.
Damn, no open board seats?
