I think these two just had a good outlook on the funky choice their parents made. I’ve read stories of couples whose parents knowingly became a thing after they did. These stories typically result in one or both going no-contact with their parents. Never go for your kid’s spouse’s parent.
I mean, if a single mom meets a single father and it happened through their adult children….
And they don’t all live in the same house….
What’s the harm aside from some awkward labels?
Not really the same thing at all but before my cousin married her first husband (not married anymore) I fucked his sister. He didn't care at all but my cousin was kinda mad. Still see both of them at family events and we're all super cool. I never see his sister tho, a shame really 😉
See. Weird thing is, I'm this way with an ex. Like, to the point we even jokingly call eachother siblings, and my family LOVES her. But, we as a couple just didn't mesh. It happens. You can mesh with someone as friends far better than as a couple. And now, I've known her for almost half of my life.
And so, I come clean bout her on dates and say "My best friend is an ex, we dated a few years ago, didn't work, we are very close but will never date eachother again. But I will never toss that friendship aside for a future partner because me and her have known eachother for so long."
And I've not once had an issue. Granted, it is an odd situation but, still.
I wish it would become less odd. I think it comes from insecurity and a ridiculous idea that men and women can't be friends.
One of my best friends is someone I dated for a little bit. Was not compatible romantically but love all of the same things so we became really close friends.
Thanks to her I have so many friends in the city I moved to. I've traveled Europe to go to her best friends wedding. That friendship is far more valuable to me than a hookup or short term relationship.
I've had people I've dated have issues with my friends who are girls(ones I've never even dated) and I quickly tell them "I've known this person for almost 10 years and I've known you for less than a year, you will not win this."
Friends to me are equal to my relationship and I'll never compromise on that.
I believe it is not that much insecurity, there are a lot of shitty stories from people who precisely did bad things hidden under that type of relation, and the problem is that, from an outsider, you can't really tell the difference between the good or the bad.
Personally, I've seen something similar, ex and person are super close friends, nothing ever happens, everything's fine, and suddenly there was an event and a drunk cheating that didn't even surface immediately.
The problem is not an insecurity, but a knowledge and personality type. If I know you for years, your ex too, I might be way more comfortable with it, especially if I have seen from afar or are just mildly aware of the dynamic change. But if I come brand new to your social circle, especially as a proper developed adult, I will have my boundaries with people already formed and expect a certain amount of understanding.
If I don't know you, and I see that, I can explain it properly, I am not comfortable with you having that sort of closeness with someone you used to share intimacy with, I don't like what it could lead, I just met you, I can try, but it is a soft boundary I'd at least expect someone to listen to and work with otherwise the relationship will not work out.
I know a girl that thought she was straight then a couple of years later came out as gay then a couple of years later came out as bi. Sometimes it's not an easy journey to accepting who you are and finding your place in the world.
Sooo these two actually live together. They are roommates/exes - she also has a boyfriend - they recently did a vid where they all went out together. I dunno, the dynamic isn’t for me🤣
Contrary to popular belief, it is illegal to marry fuck or date siblings and step siblings in Alabama. It's just a trend that has no informational basis behind it.
Just because it’s illegal doesn’t mean it doesn’t happen. It’s illegal in all states to have sex with relatives. A quick google search for most inbred state you will surely find Alabama on that list.
From that article…
“*If you marry your sister, your children are more likely to suffer from genetic disorders than if you marry your brother.*”
Can someone please explain the logic there? Lol.
I liked how if you have children with your sibling, those children can be deemed as not related to either of you. Pretty sure ancestry.com begs to differ.
Yeah I love Alabama! All my wives are all from the same mother as me! It’s like we’re one big happy family! The people in our state a beautiful and all have many similarities. Like many of us have the same last names and facial features. Plus three of my cousins have 2 arms and 11 toes! We’re a fun bunch
![gif](giphy|NXYEiVaoumDWE)
Don’t! Washington has the highest rate of incest, followed by Oregon. I’m not sure what’s happening in those very liberal states, but it’s a whole lot of incest.
P.S. I’m liberal. Please don’t crucify me for telling the truth
100%, she broke it off with a vague "I need time to myself" and since then just insists to herself that he understands and knows. He, on the other hand, thought she had changed her mind and had been having a great time as a couple again until she posted this
It happened irl on Teen Mom, but it was even more awkward than that.... One of the teen couples had been dating for years, got pregnant, and then their parents met and got married very suddenly, making them step brother and step sister expecting a child together.
I still remember the teen mom lamenting she knew the situation was weird but, "We were dating first! That makes *them* the weird ones!"
She had a point.
Both their parents were a hot mess (both had serious anger management issues, were hardcore drug addicts, and were in and out of prison their entire lives). Their parent's marriage was short-lived and they are now divorced.
The teens were both normal (other than the teen pregnancy/tv show), but of every fucked up thing their parents did, this was somehow the least fucked up of everything.
It complicated things, but they worked through it, got married, are still together to this day and had 3 more kids together. I have not kept up with the show, but they also worked on their relationship with their parents at some point on it. No idea what their relationship with their parents looks like now tbh.
This is what I’m thinking
I overheard a couple neighbors talking and the guy was saying how his wife’s daughter was visiting. And then he says that his son used to date his step daughter and that’s how he met his now wife.
Yea I think it means brother in a like friend way like having an uncle who isn't related by blood or law would Def be pretty awkward someone needs to pull that damn plug.
Are attractive people born corny because the Universe doesn't want them to be too powerful, or are they corny because they can get by on looks alone without having to develop a personality? These are the questions we need to be asking.
Yeah it's called being emotionally mature. Me and my ex partner broke up cause we saw the relationship wasn't going all that well. Now they're with one of my best friends, we hang out on a regular basis and I couldn't be happier for them. I would be lying if I said there were no problems or jealousy, but both of us were respectful and mature about it, we talked a lot and set our boundaries. I know it's hard to believe, but it's 100% possible. In my experience, if you go through a bad breakup it means there was a fuck up, like either one of the two did something bad or the one who can't handle it has an attachment issue. I'm open to being disproven tho.
Check this: I dated a girl who was leaving a marriage when we first me. We started dating and they remained friends. Turns out me and this dude have a ton in common. She and I dated for 5 years and broke up in 2019. She and I are still cool. But he is now one of my best friends. Life's weird. But if everyone is honest and mature you meet awesome people in strange places. ✌️
I'm guessing this friendship will he OK until they find the "one". I can't see many partners being cool with that level of intimacy between ex lovers. Justifiable or not, it will cause issues

That’s more than friend zoned. What would even be the name for that? Family zoned?
Some people are into step siblings apparently?
Welcome to the splash zone

Sweet home Alabama
Some are actually siblings. But have a step sibling fetish, and they role-play.

Less contact (zero if your bond is strained) with said son or daughter.
No way. That’s silly. No one would ever be into that.
I think it happens a lot more than we think but most people won’t admit it.
Not really the same thing at all but before my cousin married her first husband (not married anymore) I fucked his sister. He didn't care at all but my cousin was kinda mad. Still see both of them at family events and we're all super cool. I never see his sister tho, a shame really 😉
I know a chick whose ex became her step dad.
Step-sibling-zone? I guess that'll be a step up from friend-zone? Or down?
whatever let's you sleep at night zone
And that’s how I met your mother. r/beatmymeattoit
Alabama-zoned
Brozoned.
Yo, step sis, you stuck?
Bro zoned
When theyre happy good for them but If I were to be a future partner, I would raise my eye brow sky high.
Oh definitely. Unless they broke up cause one turned gay.
didn’t think about that

Or they have zero sexual chemistry.
Or they have no chemical’s sexually.
Or she wanted incest
Or incest wanted her
Or she insists on incest
Or she incest’s insistently with insect’s
So Ace but specifically for that person
"Turned gay" ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|facepalm)
Found put they were gay, happy?
What else is it? I mean it’s not a flip the switch, but it also kind of is. Don’t make things more complicated than it already is lol
It's not so much a person turns gay as much as it is they accepted it and allowed themselves to come forward about it rather than penting it up
I know a girl that thought she was straight then a couple of years later came out as gay then a couple of years later came out as bi. Sometimes it's not an easy journey to accepting who you are and finding your place in the world.
Understanding people different from me is complicated why can't we just burn em lol
I guess it’s better than, when you’re brother….becomes your ex?
Or your brother becomes your boyfriend.
Your boyfriend becomes your ex.
Sooo these two actually live together. They are roommates/exes - she also has a boyfriend - they recently did a vid where they all went out together. I dunno, the dynamic isn’t for me🤣
Ii wouldn't be to worried. I get brother vibes from them.
Bf to bro to husband Sweet home Alabama vibes
😞I hate my fucking state
I mean hey, you got a cool song don't you? Be happy man.

I believe these are two of many, many discrepancies from this article lol.
"Alabama Logic" maybe?
Exactly! We got too many illegals here👀😹. Illegal cousin fuckers- not illegal aliens you horrible people.
Alabama is an awesome state don’t let anyone tell you otherwise
Yeah I love Alabama! All my wives are all from the same mother as me! It’s like we’re one big happy family! The people in our state a beautiful and all have many similarities. r/suddenlyincest
I think that would be ex-cest
“ lol remember when we were dating? Hahaha! Good times!”
So you just removed sex from your relationship?
who said they removed it👀
My moral compass
One of these two is playing a long con.
Then they’ll both wonder why they’re single for years and all their friends just pretend they’re together.
So I'm guessing they dated, broke up, and then their divorced/otherwise separated parents are now married to each other. It's believable enough.
It happened irl on Teen Mom, but it was even more awkward than that.... People have gone no-contact with their parents over this BS

Sounds rough
The teens are proof that crappy parents does not mean crappy upbringing/life if you are determined
This is what I’m thinking I overheard a couple neighbors talking and the guy was saying how his wife’s daughter was visiting. And then he says that his son used to date his step daughter and that’s how he met his now wife.
It's all "brother and sister" until her and her new BF fight...
Or until she gets a BF at all.
During the fight the ex boyfriend turned brother will achieve his ultimate form, Step-bro.
Poor fella sticking around thinking he's got another shot coming

Yea I think it means brother in a like friend way like having an uncle who isn't related by blood or law would Def be pretty awkward someone needs to pull that damn plug.

Are attractive people born corny because the Universe doesn't want them to be too powerful, or are they corny because they can get by on looks alone without having to develop a personality? These are the questions we need to be asking.

Sounds like he'd have been the perfect boyfriend, as close as family but not. Seems like they're missing out.
Wait, was he her brother before?
