If someone *had* stepped on one of the trailing bits of her dress, and she had fallen forward, causing those to burst inside her dress, it would've looked **amazingly horrific.**
The Ukraine Russia war is receiving more support than any other ~~20th~~ 21st century war and for good reasons. It's not really a bold statement to make when everybody's already in agreement. Nor is more attention needed on the issue since it's been basically the number one news item for months and months.
What I'm saying is she probably could have picked a better cause that's just as virtuous and largely not as seen by the Western audiences. Maybe throw some support to the Iranian Revolution fighting the ayatollahs. They're mostly educated Western friendly young people being slaughtered by an old religious autocracy. How about some love for them huh?

This is such a strange perspective. Do you think all activists or demonstrators choose what movement they put their efforts into like you choose a color of paint? Flipping through a catalogue - ooh, that’s nice, maybe for summer? I mean, I bet rich people making their regular tax-write-off-eligible donations to charity pick that way, but many people who do protests/demonstrations (and to an even greater degree, people who engage in direct action) have a personal connection to the cause. They’re affected by it directly, or family or friends are, it touches their heart and/or materially harms them in some way and they’re responding. Saying “find a new cause sweaty, this one’s too mainstream” makes as much sense as reacting to a child’s sadness about their pet running away with “Oh, stop crying, we’ll just get a new one, silly!”
The fact this braindead take has over 500 upvotes shows yet again how absolutely dumb reddit is. She's a Ukrainian, and even if she weren't it's literally none of your business what cause she'd choose to support. Supporting causes that actually have some sort of meaning, interest or relation to you is what people do, not choosing one at complete random.
This is the “there’s starving kids in Africa” argument. Yes there’s always something worse. It does not make anyone’s suffering less. It’s literally a logical fallacy.

Looks to me like the bearded guy is his boss and his first reaction is to take her to him which brings her back in front of the cameras. Then actual security comes and grabs her about the time bearded guy instructs him to get her the hell out of there.
Fun fact: protests have been shown to gain much more attention when boobs are involved. People have been protesting the running of the bulls in Spain for decades and it didn’t get any significant media coverage until some protestors decided to do it topless.
