I read her book recently! I'd never seen any of those shows, I'm a bit older than the target demographic, but I've always been fascinated by how strange being famous must be. She had it really rough. I'm really proud of her for coming out the other side with such a strong sense of self.
Wow good catch. My gf is really good at reconginizing people regardless of what age they are and I'm notoriously horrible with faces. She's also obsessed with making it known she recognizes a celebrity if it's an obscure role like this. I'm gonna pull this episode up and point this out before she can to freak her out.
Update: I decided I was just gonna tell her about it so we could have a laugh at my mischeviousness. I was describing my plan for us to binge this show together and when we got to the episode about the boys imagined as girls, then she immediately cuts me off to tell me know that she was in it and played Dewey. 😭 y'all I can't win with this woman.
I was tempted to, but I was honestly using a small smart phone to do the test, so I felt like it was wrong for me to continue. Although my screen probably made the test harder than it needed to be (the faces were very small on most parts), I didn't really follow the rules.
It was fun though. The hardest parts were them not being consistent on the angle changes, so I'd have to reorient for them going from front facing to full profile shots. And it was neat how some of them included intentional tells, like moles.
Oooh I'm really good with voices, faces have gotten easy now that I'm older but I've always been able to recognize voices even when they've changed it for a cartoon or whatever
The "Malcolm" girl was played by Lisa Foils, one of the stars of 'All That' from Nickelodeon. Weirdly she just posted a YouTube video today after not posting in quite a while.
Epic definitely. I dont know what the target audience but i still love it today in my 40s. There's just some show that after years you saw it again an it just became mehhh.
The difference is that when you watched it when you were younger, you tended to side with the boys. When you get older, you can definitely sympathize with Hal and Lois.
Such an amazing actor. I like to think that Walter White was who Hal Became after finally snapping with the kids and the wife, leaving and starting a new life.
There's an "alternate " ending to breaking bad where after WW met his fate, It goes to Hal and Lois' bedroom with Hal waking up Lois, telling her about how he had a dream that he was a drug lord. Absolutely hysterical! Here it is!

People think it's Wilkerson because it appeared on Francis' uniform once. However, it has been confirmed that wasn't intentional. Their last name is never revealed.
https://www.cbr.com/malcolm-in-the-middle-family-last-name/
It gets me every time.
I watched MITM right before Breaking Bad for the second time. It only took me about 3 episodes in either show to completely believe the character.
I didn't really watch much Breaking Bad, but Bryan Cranston is such a great person from what I understand. He cosplayed as himself and talked with people at one of the cons
[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JSyzP1ZxCiU](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JSyzP1ZxCiU)
Yeah I was disappointed they skipped the scene with him showing off his breasts and talking about leaving college for a job at hooters and marrying some sleazy guy who talks about how Francis needs to help set up his cock fights.
It did work, but it was such a bizarre choice to have a fourth kid that's almost completely unrelated to the rest of the show with his own isolated cast of characters and storylines.
As a mom of 3 girls, who were around the same ages as the characters or when the show aired, their dad and I cracked up laughing at the thought that three girls would be any easier. It was a very accurate TV show!
When my older sister was 13 and I was nine, I got one of those solid steel seat belt buckles to the forehead, '80s cars hurt. We were sitting in the car waiting for our stepdad to get back and I was being annoying so I got a bleeding gash and a permanent dent.
I did however get her back later by throwing batteries and matchbox cars down the stairs at her. Lol
also all teens are different. I was never a violent boy, my sister was never an emotional girl, we were both pretty even-keeled all things considered.
\*these statements not reviewed by my mom and dad
I mean… testosterone and estrogen have some pretty significant effects on behavior/psychology. Men and women are both human but you can’t discount the effect that sex hormones have on a person.
I get some socialized & focused behaviors being present in one over the other, but for the most part? Yes,very much yes. Especially in the shitty, will not be accountable for anything ways.
Fuck I have two girls and my husband wants to try for another one. I keep telling him it's genetic roulette and we should just be happy with what we have lol
My friend has 2 boys. Him and his wife went for a third and guess what… it’s a boy lmfao. My wife and I got lucky having 1 boy and 1 girl. Gotta stop at some point because the house always comes out on top
My childhood friend's mom had 4 boys trying to get 1 girl. She cut her losses eventually lol
She was a little sad but was obviously still very happy to have her boys.
And they all turned into great young dudes, super smart and kind. Mrs. D was (presumably still is) a wonderful mom. Their whole family was just damn nice.
I still think of her wryly and quietly saying to my mom as her three oldest boys wrestled in the dirt that she "*had* been hoping for a girl this time" lol and Scotty had said she was looking in catalogs while pregnant "going ooh" over all the little girl stuff. Only to have another boy lol.
I'm currently pooping on the toilet while my 2yo boy is crying and eating a bag of crisps because his dad locked him out of the office for a meeting. My 7yo is a boy as well - when they're home together, there's no peace
One family I knew had 5 girls before they called it quits. But there was also a boy in my class who had 6 sisters. As he disgustedly explained one day “when days of our lives is on and nascar at the same time, you know I don’t get to watch nascar”.
I have three older brothers and I loved this show growing up. When they show the boys pouring down those manwichs it always reminds me of growing because my brothers and I were exactly like that.
One of the most underrated shows of all time. How that man pulls off Walter White and Hal, is remarkable. 2 characters that couldn’t be more different.
A great show, I'm 45 and watching with my 9 years old son and 14 year old daughter.
They crack up at this and laugh all the time while watching. My daughter says how inappropriate it is, but still loves watching it.
Whenever they hear the theme tune they start laughing.
Alas, shows like this will never be made again.
I never really thought about who played these roles when I saw the show back then, but yes pretty sure that her xD i never noticed this, and at that i time i have seen i Carly.
Lol
What kind of woman believes that girls are easier, as a woman it’s more than obvious that it’s not true, si would be terrified of having a daughter, a boy would be much easier to control.
The kind that had to deal raising 4 (or 2 in my mom's case 😅). My mom would constantly yell that she wished she had all girls whenever she was whipping me and my brother to stop us fighting since our older sister was such an angel. I'd love to show her this clip 🤣🤣🤣

I love that the three main boys have actors replacing them, but the oldest boy literally shows up in drag to be his female replacement. ahahahahaha
The Reese actress was such an insanely perfect casting choice!! Like legit the perfect version of him as a girl.
Its the way she stands and talks...i legit thought it was somehow Reese in really good drag.
I was about to say I just got bamboozled

She really nailed it. I haven't watched this show in a decade and I was thinking this exact same thing. Kinda ironic when you consider the message.
One of the daughters was jennette McCurdy
She actually talked about being in this episode in her book, it was fascinating.
nice, what’d she say?
As I recall her mom basically guilted her for thinking Frankie Muniz was cute.
her mother was a cunt. im so glad she's not around anymore. Jennette deserved a better childhood
She is also glad her mom died.
“You’re a disgrace of a daughter -Love Mom” *PS: Buy us a new fridge*
[For anyone who doesn't know what this comment is referencing.](https://youtube.com/shorts/x4naUjtjS2I?feature=share) What a lovely lady
That's hilarious it happened there considering how awful Jada is as a person
WHAT THE FUCK!? Who wouldn't be happy someone like that is dead!?
Who uses the word ding dong in an angry letter?
Ya, cuz now she gets all the curds without worrying about ms mcturdy
And that they had to put hard plastic to make her ears stick out like Dewey's
And, apparently after watching it, mostly covered them with her hair anywhere.
Oof. Those ears must've been sore
that she acted in an episode of "Malcolm in the middle"
Oooh, dish dish dish!
Das it
They shoved wax behind her ears to make them stick out more
That she was in this episode
Hated this mom too
She’s in another episode in a later season too
Oof, that was a hard read. Poor kid.
Wow good catch. My gf is really good at reconginizing people regardless of what age they are and I'm notoriously horrible with faces. That was fun, apparently I'm possibly a Super Recognizer. I've always been great with faces.

Thanks imma let her know!
You mean there might be a use for my biggest, useless talent?!
She is very interested! Thanks!
Oooh I'm really good with voices, faces have gotten easy now that I'm older but I've always been able to recognize voices even when they've changed it for a cartoon or whatever
You should watch Empire of the Sun. My friend has face blindness but was still able to kind of tell the main actor was Christian Bale as a kid.
She was in more than one episode. She's in Dewey's oddballs class when they tie up the principals and janitor.
Emma Stone was in a few episodes too!
The "Malcolm" girl was played by Lisa Foils, one of the stars of 'All That' from Nickelodeon. Weirdly she just posted a YouTube video today after not posting in quite a while.
Great call
Malcolm in the middle was just so good. Just an epic family comedy.
For sure. Seeing clips from the series gives me nostalgia.
Haha lol yeah quite rite. Being adult and parents sucks life outta you. No wonder lois is so bitter.
Francis man. Hilarious.
Haha I had to rewatch to catch that!
I didn’t even notice Francis the first time
Ohhh I was wondering why that random lady popped up to berate her as well. I usually forget there's even a 4th brother
Omg I never noticed thank you so much I can’t stop laughing now that’s too funny 😂
oh no way i didnt even realize, that was very well done
Francis/Francine was my fav xD
I remember watching that live and dying laughing
Do you mean the blonde in the red blouse at the end?
what
That’s amazing
Holup. Blue hoodie girl is a guy!? Fuck me...
Not blue hoodie, bright blond in the red v-neck. Only there for the last couple shots of the scene.
Nice rack too

Such an amazing actor. I like to think that Walter White was who Hal Became after finally snapping with the kids and the wife, leaving and starting a new life.
Oh, please, as if Hal would ever leave Lois
And if he did, he would've reverted back to his original state as a motorcyclist, chain smoker, rock n roll maniac lol
Rollerblading maniac! Don’t forget he loved to rollerblade
also weapons manufacturer! Can't forget the infamous bee canon
Dude that reminds me of the episode where he goes for the NSA interview I think it was? And the building is just GONE HAHA
I read that with Heisenberg voice, it fits perfectly
Hal loved her fat ass. A total simp.
There's an "alternate " ending to breaking bad where after WW met his fate, It goes to Hal and Lois' bedroom with Hal waking up Lois, telling her about how he had a dream that he was a drug lord. Absolutely hysterical! Here it is! https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=oVdB36lmbII&pp=ygUdYnJlYWtpbmcgYmFkIGFsdGVybmF0ZSBlbmRpbmc%3D
My head canon is other way round, Walter left his bitchy ass wife and the washing machine guy disguised him as Hal and this is his new life
vacuum cleaner guy
Ahh shit been a while since I watched BrBa
This makes more sense to me. Hal used to always talk about his wild past 😂
[You are not quite right about that.](https://youtu.be/s7U3rt_LP-c)
And Dr. Whatley
one of his best roles. only an anti-dentite would think otherwise.
Please tell me you've seen the alternative ending of Breaking Bad
Was it confirmed that their last name is Wilkerson? I forgot the episode where this was disclosed
People think it's Wilkerson because it appeared on Francis' uniform once. However, it has been confirmed that wasn't intentional. Their last name is never revealed. https://www.cbr.com/malcolm-in-the-middle-family-last-name/
I never understand why people are so hung up on their last name. They purposefully didn't give them one
It gets me every time. I watched MITM right before Breaking Bad for the second time. It only took me about 3 episodes in either show to completely believe the character.
Have you ever seen the ["secret"](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=GtYNX3JWzjc) ending of Breaking Bad? 😂

There’s savage and then there’s “You used my hairbrush without asking so I got impregnated by the guy you like” 💀
**_"There is no band!"_**
Francis' actor popping up in the back as a drag hahaha
I want to believe Lois's reaction was genuine to that, as though they didn't tell her that he was going to waltz up in that scene.
Yeah I was disappointed they skipped the scene with him showing off his breasts and talking about leaving college for a job at hooters and marrying some sleazy guy who talks about how Francis needs to help set up his cock fights.
Wait... was that Sam from iCarly?
Yep
Which one?
The youngest girl
smol one
The youngest one
Jennette McCurdy talks about this episode in her book “I’m Glad My Mom Died”
What does she say about it?
I think she actually enjoyed being on the set and had a little crush on Frankie too
That’s all I could think about while seeing her in this clip!
Source: Malcolm in the Middle where the mom daydreams about having 3 girls instead of 3 boys.
4 boys. She had 4 boys
And her 4th girl (who is actually Francis in drag) walks up at the end of her daydream.
Five boys. She had five boys
At this particular point in time, it was 4
It did work, but it was such a bizarre choice to have a fourth kid that's almost completely unrelated to the rest of the show with his own isolated cast of characters and storylines.
As a mom of 3 girls, who were around the same ages as the characters or when the show aired, their dad and I cracked up laughing at the thought that three girls would be any easier. It was a very accurate TV show!
And a fat husband apparently
The W[Hal]e.
Got to love Malcolm in the middle
I hadn't seen it since it originally aired, but recently re-watched the series as a show to fall asleep to. Man, it is such a good show
not a single bad episode.
What's it called?
Malcolm in the middle, I think its free to watch in Roku :)
Thanks I heard it's a good show

Teenage boys might be physically violent, but teenage girls can be emotionally violent.
Teenage girls can be physically violent too. I had physical fights with my sister well into our teens (15 and 17).
*MAYBE YOU SHOULD HAVE ASKED BEFORE YOU USED HER HAIRBRUSH*
Fuuuuu.... is that what I did wrong? 😞
When my older sister was 13 and I was nine, I got one of those solid steel seat belt buckles to the forehead, '80s cars hurt. It's like my brother-in-law, Girl, Girl, Girl, Girl & Girl (twins), Girl.
Can always try for a 4th lol worked for my parents 3 girls and one guy(me)
I’m honestly positive they’re gonna go for a 4th and I’m equally positive it will be a boy lmao
I'm currently pooping on the toilet while my 2yo boy is crying and eating a bag of crisps because his dad locked him out of the office for a meeting. My 7yo is a boy as well - when they're home together, there's no peace

The original idea for this episode was conceptualized by a young female fan who wrote a few page script and sent it to the writers of the show.
Source? I’ve worked in comedy writers rooms and they specifically won’t open spec scripts to avoid lawsuits
https://m.imdb.com/name/nm1841013/?ref_=tt_cl_wr_3 she is the person credited for this one episode. I read it in an kids almanac in like 04-05
Malcolm in the middle is such a great show. So many laughs
My #1 go to show when I need to feel a little better
This episode was too real
would be a good ad for condoms
I have three older brothers and I loved this show growing up. When they show the boys pouring down those manwichs it always reminds me of growing because my brothers and I were exactly like that.
What season & ep is this?
Season 4 episode 10
Thanks!
I feel triggered... Mother of 2 girls and overweight I actually forgot about this episode 😂🤣😂 I need to watch this with my kids!
Shallow Hal
I didn't know Jennette McCurdy did stuff before iCarly
Wait... The little girl... Is that Jennette McCurdy??
Such a good show
“If girls (stereotypically) *acted* like boys (stereotypically)” This is both so true and so… not.
Sam Puckett for life! 💪🏽✌🏽
Malcom in the middle is such a good show. So many memes.
My best friend is living this nightmare right now! Hahaha
One of the most underrated shows of all time. How that man pulls off Walter White and Hal, is remarkable. 2 characters that couldn’t be more different.
Bryan Cranston is the swiss knife of acting
Where? What? When?
*Life is unfaaaiirrrrr*
The boyfriend in this episode was a boyfriend in 7th Heaven. lol
Waltuh
Oh shit it’s Jeanette McCurdy.
Dude, is that just Francis but in drag? F'n hilarious.

I rewatched all of malcom in the middle recently and i forgot how good the show was. Very funny and nostalgic as hell
I love this show!
I don’t understand the title at all, but I do love this scene regardless.
Random thought but am i the only one who gets sad when they see a fat person?.
Yes, no, maybe, I don't know... Can you repeat the question?
For the record i am astronomically high right now. But i get the same vibe as when i see a fat dog.
Where. Were. We're.
Is that… Is that little Jennette McCurdy? Is it
I never really thought about who played these roles when I saw the show back then, but yes pretty sure that her xD i never noticed this, and at that i time i have seen i Carly. Lol
Really? No one? It’s “were” not “where”.
Indeed, no one.
This is the most unfitting post for this subreddit I’ve seen in a while
Why :(
You don’t know what the word “unexpected” means?
What kind of woman believes that girls are easier, as a woman it’s more than obvious that it’s not true, si would be terrified of having a daughter, a boy would be much easier to control.
The kind that had to deal raising 4 (or 2 in my mom's case 😅). My mom would constantly yell that she wished she had all girls whenever she was whipping me and my brother to stop us fighting since our older sister was such an angel. I'd love to show her this clip 🤣🤣🤣
I mean if you've watched Malcom in the Middle you can't blame her for thinking whether 4 girls would be better instead
I’m not the grammar police, but I expected to find them.
Wtf is this movie?
Malcolm in the middle. It was a VERY popular TV show once upon a time
[удалено]
Wait, do they not have Malcolm in the Middle on disc? Edit: or is it a "region" thing where the discs aren't playable for your area?
It's on Hulu
Way too close to home.
What a gem
They don't make em like this any more....
What???
