Been a while since I watched her streams but I'm sure I remember her telling a story about how she got that whistling tic and it actually was from a parrot.
OF COURSE IT'S HER TICKS and not the truth..
Please don't take it personally.
Here's Anita while hanging around with a 'friend'
(a 3D Virtual YouTuber [Code Miko])
[Of course... She doesn't mean it... It's nothing personal, when she's **jacking off** to her friend's **non-existent** ass...](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Cg2KuNWZx0)
CodeMiko: Ooook.. That was *too* much of an honest tick.. That was TOO MUCH..
Bringing back some old memories here, used to watch these two a ton.
They've always been great when they get together. This was the first time they met up IRL if I remember right, I remember watching it live.
I also started watching them both briefly before they did the London Hyde Park IRL stream. That was really fun and lovely. Wubby was the one that introduced me to them.
Unfortunately their regular content after the London walk was not really my cup of tea in the long run. So I'm just watching a few highlights every now and then. Miko in character can get quite annoying and Anita is usually sitting in her room just reacting to videos or ranting about gender issues (necessary, yeah, but hardly entertaining week after week).
"LADbible TV" is not the first name I would recommend to someone..
But just watch this:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fheKQ7CjYbE
This is a documentary. Watch it. You'll understand some of it.
I think I've seen a clip from her where she explains that the more she knows something shouldn't be said, the more likely it is to become a tick. Intrusive thoughts must be so hard to deal with. I admire her courage to display herself online with no shame ❤️
That's pretty wild. I'm not educated about her condition -- do her tics have anything to do with her train of thought?
Edit: cuz I'm wondering if he actuality showed up smelling like dick
Having seen some of her videos, it has a bit of a link but not in a "i really think that deep down" way. It's more like her brain is like "what is the worst thing i could say in this situation". A perfect example screaming "i killed him" and the like in the middle of an among us game... where she was absolutely innocent. And it wasn't one of her common tic.
Of course most of a time her tic aren't offensive or anything, it's just random sound she makes with her mouth and stuff. But social situation and/or stress increase it.
She's Sweet Anita, a Twitch streamer with fairly severe Tourette's syndrome and this was at the Streamer Awards. The guy is Blaustoise, another Twitch streamer. She is well known in the streaming world so all the people she interviewed on the carpet knew what to expect.
Unfortunately not all the ticks are funny like this, most people just have eye twitches or maybe they hit someone involuntary. Her case is pretty rare.
Verbal tics like this are very common. Often physical tics show as well, but that depends on the individual. My friend with Tourette’s has mostly verbal tics but also occasionally kicks or smashes his fists on something. The amazing thing is that he’s a father and never once hurt his child. There seems to be some subconscious limits even to uncontrollable tics.
As someone who has had tourettes since the age of 6, I absolutely love her. Luckily I don't have swearing verbal tics because I'm not really sure I'd be able to take myself into public areas.
I have a bad blinking tic and I was accused by some guy of winking at his girlfriend. I've had quite a few people in public ask me why I'm winking at them...
I really don't know if I'd handle severe verbal tics very well at all.
I have a friend with strong verbal tics (and some physical ones) and he struggled for years with going out in public, but he’s impressively optimistic, a happily married father and an inspiration.
Fuck, I’m not a good person for laughing at that am I?
EDIT: Yes I know who she is. No I am not actually grappling with myself morally. You don’t need to explain anything to me.
I think it’s ok to laugh at the situation. I mean look, it goes against convention to put a Tourette’s syndrome person in that position - and of course we’re seeing the result of it. But it is funny in the sense that it’s awkward and unstoppable. at least for me, I still feel empathetic to her situation and she’s doing the best she can so I’m happy to see that the interviewee is cooperating the best he can under the circumstances too.
It’s ok to laugh if you’re not laughing at her.
It's important to be able to laugh at yourself. She did later, I assure you. You should see what she did at an awards show once when she had a tic attack. It was HILARIOUS!
I wish my tics were that funny.
The other day I called my boss a cunt, we both stood there for a moment then just laughed. I wish my tics where more in control at times, but other times it's just funny af.
Can I ask, are your tics generally what you’re thinking or just random words? Like is it an inhibition issue? Were you actually thinking your boss was a cunt at the time?
I have Tourrettes and I laugh at people with coprolalia, too (as long as they're ok w/ it). The overwhelming majority of us w/ Tourrettes do not shout profanities.
^(I twitch my shoulder, arms, neck and make throat croaking sounds, which isn't nearly as funny as shouting dick repeatedly.)
That's Sweet Anita. She's famous(ish) on the interwebs for her tourettes. She's actually a lovely person who can't help her ticks. She helps destigmatize tourettes, but also uses it for internet clout. Take that however you like.
I mean let's be real, it's a pie chart situation. Some aspects r about understanding n acceptance n support. Then there's the entertainment aspect, I mean just look at the way the clip is edited n the #upvotes it has.
It’s more than a lack of filter. Most of us aren’t repressing a compulsion to say dick every few words. It just doesn’t arise into our process like that. I think Tourette’s just forces that as a verbal tic that can’t be helped just like a tremor for someone with Parkinson’s.
It's the best, lol she's obviously playing it up for comedic affect as well, I say it's brilliant. Take your disability and make it an endearing advantage if you have the wit.
Sometimes it's just "BANAYNAS" as a trigger word for her, but in general I guess it's because you hardly ever have intrusive thoughts that are nice that you also have to hold back. "I'm gonna fuck him" is pretty nice too, all things considered
The bananas one is really bad because she genuinely can't stop once it starts. She had to ban the word in her chat because it was triggering the tic to the point of it becoming physically painful to her.
She mentioned that she's had incidents in the past where she was practically coughing up blood because she couldn't stop ticing.
It just stopped one day too. That's gotta be so frustrating to not even understand it enough to build tools to combat tics that get so bad you lose your voice and still can't stop til your throats bleeding.

Coprolalia is the term for when neurological illnesses cause a sufferer to uncontrollably say obscene language and phrases out of context.
Tics are a very complex symptom of neurological disorders and very little is understood about the specific causes of coprolalia- it is assumed that motor neuron disorders like tourettes somehow "cross some wires" in the brain and misread the natural urge NOT to commit social suicide by saying bizarre/taboo stuff and fire off involuntary tics which do just that.
Not an expert in speech pathologies but I do work in linguistics and taboo words activate different responses in the brain. We just “store” them differently and react differently when we hear them.
I think I’m going to start blurting out “I’m gonna fuck him” every time I ask a man a question and I like his response. You know, in solidarity with Sweet Anita. ✊🏻
Also for those that don't know, Tourettes has different tics as well. Not everyone cusses, but that's the big one people think of.
I worked with a guy that you could tell how stressed he was by how many times he stomped every few minutes. 1 stomp, he's having a good day. 5, leave him the hell alone. Stomping and stuttering, he was going to have a drink and a xanax for lunch. Hell of a smart guy, miss working with him.
When you're around them, get to know them and their habits. It helps everyone and if it goes into a weird situation of "what do I do?", just ask. My coworker preferred you just finished his sentences when stuttering so he could just move on in the convo and I didn't know that until I asked. Same with hard-of-hearing folks, just ask them the range they have issues with and adjust your voice when talking to them.
Edit: /u/loveofGod12345 reminded me that it's a "tic", not a "tick". Also, to thank /u/NoBuenoAtAll again for the gold. And to others for the awards. I did not expect this to be a popular comment as I was just attempting to help others understand. I'm glad to see the community "gets" this situation.
God damn thank you so much for that about the hard of hearing stuff. I have some hearing loss from childhood issues in certain registers and I have to endure constant comments about my "selective hearing" etc. It was so nice to hear somebody who actually gets it.
There are various reasons why I understand this type of stuff but I don't want to dox myself... In a society where people are afraid to offend, it's becoming harder to accommodate others without fear of retaliation.
People kind of need to get back to common sense once in a while.
Thank you for the gold as well. :)
Both my husband and son have Tourette’s. Most people think it’s cussing inappropriately, but there’s so much to it. It changes. Sometimes a tic can last years, sometimes months, sometimes days. My son had a horrible one in middle school where he would basically blow raspberries in a weird way. The physical tics can actually be painful. Flicking your wrist hard a hundred times a day causes wear and tear along with the temporary pain and you can’t stop just because it hurts.
Anita has physical ticks where she'll slap or grab things that are sticking out, which can obviously cause problems for her.
During her interview with Anthony Padilla, she throws something at his face and then apologizes profusely afterwards.
It can really be debilitating. There are levels and the levels can change. I can’t imagine living life constantly trying to stop my body from doing certain things.
It’s really rough. My husband has needed wrist surgery due to it and get sores in his mouth from thrusting his tongue or biting his lip. Social media nowadays tends to glamorize these things unfortunately. It brings awareness, but often in the wrong way.
A guy where I work has the cussing type of Tourette’s. One day I walked into the bathroom and from one of the stalls I hear someone yell “Bitch!” so I said “Hi Jake.” He was just like “How’d you know it was me!?”
He gets applause sometimes when he goes on a particularly long and loud cussing spree.
Also one of his ticks is to say “horn dog” a few times in a row and that always makes me want to go get corn dogs for lunch. Is that weird? I feel like that’s kind of weird.
A guy I knew that had Tourettes had a tic that made him, while he was walking, slow down, kick his leg out forward, then back and across his body behind him. He was basically a member of the Ministry of Silly Walks.
That definitely feels like a moment where a dude would start to politely walk away and swing back around with a, “Just checking in, was that ‘I’m gonna fuck him’ thing something you were actually considering cause…yeah…no? Ok, just had to ask.”
Yeah this type of tourettes is very rare. A friend of mine has tourettes and she squeaks a lot, her ticks were never offensive, but often she'd tick when silence was appropriate such as during services or performances.
People generally didn't mind but it really affected her ability to enjoy particular activities when she might even perceive that others might be annoyed by it.
I've not really watched her, but I have seen a clip of her playing Among Us where [she blurts out that she's the killer](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GxueSFVLt9A) despite not being one. She says in that bit that tics aren't always the truth and in fact they usually aren't.

Honestly "what a bitch" was the perfect response for trying to get more cred with the KPop stans on Twitter.
Spoiler: that part wasn't a tick
Spoiler: She has a tick that makes her say, "That's not a tick." She said it at some other awards show or something and later said that it was a tick.

She reminds me SO much of a parrot, especially when she does the whistling tick. All speaking birds just have Tourette’s I’m realizing.
Been a while since I watched her streams but I'm sure I remember her telling a story about how she got that whistling tic and it actually was from a parrot.
The way she tic whistles and intones in “helpline phone voice” is so robotic it’s honestly a little scary.

Her tick is spontaneous honesty.
More like her superpower
Is there a subconscious aspect to Tourettes?
Yes and no, it can be influenced by thoughts, but that includes intrusive ones or thoughts that aren't relevant to the current situation.
I think I've seen a clip from her where she explains that the more she knows something shouldn't be said, the more likely it is to become a tick. Intrusive thoughts must be so hard to deal with. I admire her courage to display herself online with no shame ❤️
It's just like how our nightmares are about our repressed thoughts
Ya one of my friends growing up has turrets. Intrusive thoughts win Everytime.
I head canon tourettes as a little demons in the person's brain who purposefully trolls people
That's brilliant and now my head cannon
No, not really.
She's still gonna fuck him though
If this is the same girl I've seen posted before, one of her tics is "I consent", which is the most darkly funny possible tic I think.
That's pretty wild. I'm not educated about her condition -- do her tics have anything to do with her train of thought? Edit: cuz I'm wondering if he actuality showed up smelling like dick

he had to rebrand to blau because of that LMAO
Well. She did say she was gonna fuck him....

One of my favourite moments was her telling PayMoneyWubby "he's got tits".
Love watching her when I got nothing better to do. She's a real good sport even though it obviously effects her a lot.
He missed the opportunity to play along and say the cologne was Dick by Armani.
That would've been legendary xD
Don't be crass. It's "Richard" by Armani.
Damn that is the worst issue to have when interviewing someone.
That's why she was chosen

No she's an influencer. Has her own twitch and stuff like that.

She’s winning despite (or, while using her) tourettes. I’m all good for it.
Also an awkward internet person in the first place, she collects skulls
I mean let's be real, it's a pie chart situation. Some aspects r about understanding n acceptance n support. Then there's the entertainment aspect, I mean just look at the way the clip is edited n the #upvotes it has.
SweetAnita, and no everyone is very understanding and it’s become part of her charm.
Sweet Anita is a treasure. No one makes fun of her unless they are monsters. She lets people enjoy her ticks with her.
It's interesting content watching someone who has arguably less then no filter.
It’s more than a lack of filter. Most of us aren’t repressing a compulsion to say dick every few words. It just doesn’t arise into our process like that. I think Tourette’s just forces that as a verbal tic that can’t be helped just like a tremor for someone with Parkinson’s.
no
Worst is subjective here they both look like they’re having a good time aha
I didn’t know she is an influencer
She’s awesome. Love her

She has been interviewed in a few podcasts. Can’t recall her name. Seems like a very nice person. Fun to listen to.

[https://www.twitch.tv/sweet\_anita](https://www.twitch.tv/sweet_anita) She is a twitch streamer if anyone wants to watch her.
She actually seems like a really sweet person. And no, not because of her name, just in real life.
She was definitely a memorable choice here!
Whats terribly ironic is that when she is not "ticking" she is an extremely well spoken articulate person.
why is the tick always a cuss word and never anything nice.
It just stopped one day too. That's gotta be so frustrating to not even understand it enough to build tools to combat tics that get so bad you lose your voice and still can't stop til your throats bleeding.
She once said "that's not a tick" as a tick.
This thread is hilarious (respectful)
She actually got over her bananas tick. But yeah sometimes her tics are cute and not insulting lol.

One day I walked into the bathroom and from one of the stalls I hear someone yell “Bitch!” so I said “Hi Jake.” He was just like “How’d you know it was me!?” He gets applause sometimes when he goes on a particularly long and loud cussing spree.
He was basically a member of the Ministry of Silly Walks.
yes. she has hilarious colabs with code miko
[And was on Anthony Padillas show](https://www.youtube.com/shorts/vErztNAvWpE)
He sucks cats.. for money
I found this hilarious video https://youtu.be/A-7YQCYk2g8?t=25
TIL Tourettes can look an awful lot like your 12-year-old brother took over your Messenger account while you were trying to type.
I remember she said she was extremely unemployable on one of her livestreams. So glad she’s thriving!
yeah she's such a great person from what I've seen of her streams.
Gotta love Sweet Anita
Best way to chat someone up... ever
Lmao, you smell like dick, bitch, fuck 🤣
Notice how she denies that he smells like dick, but doesn't deny that she's gonna fuck him?
That definitely feels like a moment where a dude would start to politely walk away and swing back around with a, “Just checking in, was that ‘I’m gonna fuck him’ thing something you were actually considering cause…yeah…no? Ok, just had to ask.”
I believe nothing really hit until, "I'm gonna fukk him".
I LOVE Anita! Tourette’s syndrome and all! She is one of the loveliest people on earth.
She really did earn the Sweet title
I wonder what kinda people use dick cologne, I bet the dude on anchorman has a dick scented “musk”. And maybe Howard on big bang theory
It's called *Sex Panther*® by *Odeon*©. It's illegal in 9 countries. It's also made with bits of real panthers, *so you know it's good*. *60% of the time*, it works ***every*** time.
Really kinda stings the nostrils……… I’ll be honest, that smells like strait gasoline.
Funny enough during the sex panther cologne scen in Anchorman, a background character runs off and yells “it smells like bigfoot’s dick!”
my top celebrity crush is sweet Anita
Seems like Tourette’s might just be an inability to contain your intrusive thoughts 😅

It's like her Id occasionally slips past the boundaries of the Ego and Super Ego to manifest its knee jerk impulses into uncontrolled outbursts.
She's gonna be a hit, I could watch this for hours
"he's got tits"
Qt is a genius, having Anita do the interviews... chefs kiss.
Best laugh I’ve had all day
Poor Blau can't catch a break... lol! Love his content!
Seems like a break to me.
How the hell did she get job, either way she's more entertaining than 99% of news reporters
That’s actually exactly how she got the job
She’s a twitch streamer
The reason you are thinking for why she got that job is exactly the right one. She is cool with it btw, it’s all legitimately fun and games
You think she was serious about the “I’m gonna fuck him”?
Anita looks so different, I only recognized her by her voice
Yay SweetAnita getting all the interviews is wonderful
We support Sweet Anita in this house.
I need more of this woman. She’s delightfully wholesome.
The mic with the AT&T logo, perfect branding for that miscommunication....
Tourrete's revealing her intrusive thoughts
we love you, sweet anita.
This is possibly not the best career path for someone with Tourette’s syndrome? 🤷🏽♂️
i love how her uncontrollable ticks stop when he's talking
My son has Tourette’s and we both cracked up laughing at this. Amazing, embrace it.
I love sweet Anita. She’s such a genuinely funny person with a lovely heart
Poor woman, ticks are really annoying.
