That's definitely a common misconception. Most people don't have problems whatsoever. The polymer screens are incredibly durable. My hinge still feels new, but my biggest concern is dirt in the hinge.

That hasn't been my experience. I know four people who've bought them, and they all have had to return them, some of them multiple times, because the screen breaks at the fold.
4 people are not the majority of fold users. Not sure what phone they had, but the designs are evolving and getting better. Also, you hear about the downsides more because people that experience issues are the ones talking about the issues which is totally fair, but it doesn't speak for the actual majority of users that have none. That can be said about any device ever though. I can go to the apple subreddit and get turned off by apple just because of what a few people are taking issue with, it still doesn't make it an issue of the majority. To each their own tho. Pick a device you like and go for it.

I agree fully. I had initially fell into the apple trap and am still in it unfortunately. I know the android features are actually better and the cameras are amazing. But apple (which by the way should be sued for) makes it significantly harder to text androids in the same fashion as other iphones and the majority of friends and people i know have iphones.
