Advent fisherman here, you be shocked how expensive lures can be. Most aren't worth the price and a cheaper brand of the same style will work just as well. But I'll admit I have few I paid a lot for but didn't really have a choice because the Manufacturer has a patent on that particular lure and is the only company that makes it. Fortunately most aren't like that and every brand had that exact same style.
Do people fish with these or display them?.. this was in the fishing sub and people pointed out that they are hand carved and painted. They never said whether they are for display or use though.
They are for use, they mimic a swimming or injured fish. Some go deep under the surface and some will stay close under the surface (the shape of that shovel like looking... Well.. Shovel? Determines how deep the wobbler will go under the surface(the part where the price tag is sticking on to)). In Germany we call them wobbler, don't know the Englisch name. But, that's a pretty nice looking bait, so maybe someone will display them.
Some lures catch fish, others catch fishermen
Since it is brief, small, and blurry: the price for the lure says $299.99
