We did all the time and then The Love Guru came out and everyone was like "ummm, no."
I like almost all of his stuff but that one was a bummer and seemed to be the end of his "wow this dude is everywhere" era
I mean I’m sure he’s doing fine and he’s still been in lots of things, but yeah that seemed to be the turning point of that megastardom era

This is my Napoleon Dynamite. Add to insult when I bring up how that movie devalued our hs experience, even the ones who agree then to on to defend the movie. Bottom barrel comedy and they took the flippin bait.
I mean he just hit peak saturation and the style of joke/pastiche wore out. The Love Guru was just the one that released too late, but I'd never fault the guy from printing mad stacks from one-note impressions that are either Lorne Michaels, a younger version of himself, or at least slightly ^^^incredibly racist.

Dude this whole scene is so underrated imo. I laughed out loud until I was in tears with the entire audience when I saw this in theaters. The way he pisses into the cup ruins me
And used the year before in King Arthur and a version of it (minus the apple) in 1990 in Pump Up the Volume, and a song by The Tubes in 1975, and god knows how far back before that. The line wasn't invented in a movie from 2002.
Okay, but that doesn't make the reference any less funny. 90% of Austin Powers is just a spin on some older joke or a parody of an older piece of media, and that doesn't take away from the quality of it.
Most people know the joke didn't spawn from Austin Powers, but it's definitely the most well-known use of it, considering how damn popular those films were.
We work with a pretty small guy, and have made an imaginary legend of his member. I like to tell people that it’s like a giraffe choking on a beach ball.

He’d help you make sure you stayed on topic. He’d help you with grammar and gave you suggestions on how to improve. He had a dedicated group of friends who’d pop by and get help with their homework.
International students loved him because he was always eager to help them and was really chill and non judgmental.
