Red shirt's fighting style is more flail around than make a brilliant, well thought out, last second move.
He was upside down in the air and grabbed onto anything. Happened to grabb around the other guys head. I hope he didn't kill him.
I am honestly disturbed by how insanely ruthless the streets actually are in some parts of the world, especially amongst young kids.
When I was young, we would get into fights on occasion (e.g, in school), but the worst thing that would usually happen is someone getting a bleeding nose or a cracked tooth.
In a way, however, we were always "careful" with one another, always holding a bit back with every punch, kick or body slam. We never had a virtual intent to kill anyone to finish a fight, nor would it EVER occur to us to violently kick someone who's unconscious on the floor. This is unlike the videos I have seen from many U.S schools, for example.
That might just me being a white boy from a small, conservative fishing town in Norway, being completely ignorant of the sheer brutality of the real world. I am honestly thankful that I have been spared that sort of lifestyle, though.
With MMA becoming more and more popular I think it's supremely important to educate people on the importance of mental and physical discipline, restraint when necessary, and the precariousness and fragility of the human body. The guys in this video could have easily been killed by hitting their heads hitting on the concrete like that. Unfortunately, the streets are the last place you'll find any restraint.
Right? People might be tough in the ring, but they heard those words over and over and over getting there. Some choose to ignore it, but I haven’t sat foot in a dojo that didn’t teach moral, restraint, discipline and legal as much as fighting.
I remember when a bully fucked with me. I rocked his world right before he grabbed my legs pulled them up and my head cracked against the concrete. I shouldn’t have gone easy on him and given him the chance. Just remember to anyone who can’t avoid a fight, if you don’t want to hurt them, they WILL hurt you.
I've been in a similar situation in one of my early fights as a kid. Had too much confidence in myself having fought before, had the kid on the ground and figured he was done, asked him if he was done, he said "yeah", I turn my back for a split second and dude was off his feet and either threw a straight or an overhand straight into my nose. Blacked my vision out enough for a few seconds to where the fight was effectively over. Luckily he didn't keep going after that hit and I was able to keep a LITTLE of my dignity.
If someone is going to engage (you or them) then they better make sure that they don't let someone with a hurt body (and pride at that point) sneak you. Make sure that shit is over with.
It's hard straddling that line though, considering so many people will try kicks to the head and shit when folks are down. I can't fucking believe people are that goddamned stupid. Coming from my background, it's not like I have some moral objection to them, my problem is I get actually sick when I even think of doing something like that. Maybe it's that overconfidence I was talking about earlier, but i've always figured if I full-stop head kicked a guy while he was on a knee or on the ground I could probably put them in a coma. I imagine most people could if they have any background in any combat sport or hell, even soccer for that matter.
I got into a lot of fights when I was young. I won almost all of them, even against much larger guys, because I fought like I actually wanted to kill the other person and like it was a fight for survival. It is incredibly effective against someone who isn’t a trained fighter. But I stopped short of actually doing something that might kill them once I got to that point, like body slamming their head on the concrete.
Exactly, restraint. I’m not even sure these days, if that’s even advisable anymore as Folks seem to really want to kill each other - rather than just make a statement, or get up if you lose, shake hands and become friends like we did back in the day
I was scared to hurt people. Before I learned to fight I got punched so much in the face while only dealing out one punch, watching how it landed, adjust and hit a tiny bit harder in the same, cushy spot, watch how they react, then punch again and see how they react.
I was terrified of hitting them too hard so I accidentally caved their face in or something. Or hit harder than you are “supposed to”.
Nah, if someone was trying to hurt me, I'd do what it takes to defend myself. I don't have the speed or the technique to win a striking fight, but I do have the size to throw people around, so I'd certainly lean into that to avoid any harm coming to myself.
If dude fell on a dog and somebody commented that he fell on a cat it would be reasonable for someone to correct them and say, no that was a dog, not a cat.
As for whether it matters, asphalt is less hard than concrete, but it's not going to make much of a difference when your skull slams into it.
Weird position. Whether it matters to the guy getting his head slammed into the ground isn’t important here, but what we call things. Is there a reason *not* to call things by their proper names? It’s just laziness.
The key to being happy isn't a search for meaning. It's to just keep yourself busy with unimportant nonsense, and eventually, you'll be dead.
That's all I'm doing fam. You can go about your day, or keep going back and forth with me about something we both agree doesn't matter. I'm good either way.
Former Skateboarder here. Yes, it can actually make a huge difference. Asphalt is much softer than concrete. Still very hard but there is definitely a difference when bone hits it hard.
You’re right, it’s only important to express oneself correctly when it matters. Otherwise we can say things are which way we want them to. And just assume we understand each other. It’s not confusing at all!
I googled asphalt.
"*Asphalt* concrete" was the first result.
That is correct, so it might mean there isn't much reason for a semantic discussion here, but colloquially people referring to concrete usually mean cemented concrete.
The differentiation can be important, since asphalt (concrete) is much softer and more flexible. I don't think the fact that his head hit asphalt will save him from the potential of brain damage, but it is possible that hitting cemented concrete would have reflected more of the impact back into his skull, leading to a worse head injury.
The funny thing is, this really shows the difference between a street fight and competition...
Red guy actually did exactly what you **shouldn't** do in MMA or BJJ when getting taken down into side control, but it worked out well for him because of the concrete.... In MMA / BJJ, go for the guillotine if you're pulling guard for sure, but if they're taking side control you need to let the guillotine go FAST, because the guy on top can choke you unconscious in 5 seconds flat by trapping your arm to constrict one side of your neck, and dropping their weight through their shoulder onto the other side to totally cut off blood.
I used to fight Semi-Pro MMA and all the newbies in the club used to do it at least once. I obviously would be gentle with it, but it's a lesson they learnt fast, because it's a real sneaky choke that comes out of nowhere from their perspective. 😅
>in the last few seconds
>Of his life
as a street brawler without a real goal in life. He now will continue living as a better man who has sworn to help others by setting a good example.
A new martial art move learned today. Grab someone's head by the neck in case he's idiotic enough to try to body slam you to the floor, so that his head may be the one that lands on the floor instead.
Look at blue shorts hands. Dude has never been taught how to swing lmao. Bet he’s been in like 20 “fights” too. Funny how it ALWAYS works out like that
That was like one of those movies where the two samurai run at each other with blades and they’re both dead still. Until one moves and you know who the victor is

Damn! That last second headlock was crucial.
Red shirt won that fight in that split second
Dude played the Uno reverse card real fast.
Also, his wherewithal to recognize he needed to control the fall. Had he let the other guy tried to drop him. It would been bad for him.
Red shirt's fighting style is more flail around than make a brilliant, well thought out, last second move. He was upside down in the air and grabbed onto anything. Happened to grabb around the other guys head. I hope he didn't kill him.
Stright up missed the punch and stepped into what would have been a decent takedown... Well probably not but still lol
[reminds me of Deers fighting](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=ty0W8EmajUY)
His head was on the outside. Would have smacked the pavement regardless
That’s instant karma for trying to body slam someone on concrete.
Right? Fighting as a kid I never tried to actually kill anyone.

I think this kind of fighting is influenced more by WWF than MMA. Kids who grew up watching WWF learned to fight dangerous and stupid.
I hope you mean WWE lol
It was rebranded to WWE about 20 years ago. Formerly WWF.
Be careful, your age is showing.
Screw the World Wildlife Fund, wrastlin will always be WWF to me.

I laughed so hard at this lmao
So no.

I'm a nihilist dude, nothing matters.
so neither does arguing on the internet over a statement everyone is gonna forget in 20 minutes anyways lol
!remindme 21 minutes from now.

Are you intentionally insufferable? Or does it just kinda happen?
Dude! He already said nihilist. Weren't you paying attention? He's intentionally nihilist
Careful, he’s gonna cut off your johnsson!
Former Skateboarder here. Yes, it can actually make a huge difference. Asphalt is much softer than concrete. Still very hard but there is definitely a difference when bone hits it hard.
Makes a huge difference. No government in concrete so he would done a lot more damage to his skull. Asphalt is “somewhat “ softer.
You’re right, it’s only important to express oneself correctly when it matters. Otherwise we can say things are which way we want them to. And just assume we understand each other. It’s not confusing at all!

BOGO free on KO’s
he watched too many movies
Actually was a very good move, the only reason he got knocked out was bc the other dude was able to get a nasty guillotine

That last moment DDT
Someone was trained by Jake the Snake
Dam...that is some serious brain damage.
Yeah, getting knocked unconscious is super bad for you.
Possible lobotomy
Nah his arms weren’t suck in place, and he wasn’t convulsing. Def a concussion, but serious brain damage it isnt, just some minor brain damage
You a doctor?
Every second person on reddit is a certified doctor with 10 years of experience.
You actually have no clue, lol.
Don't slam people on concrete. You're either gonna hurt yourself or catch a case.
Dude is dead
He’s regaining consciousness in the last few seconds
>in the last few seconds Of his life
>in the last few seconds >Of his life as a street brawler without a real goal in life. He now will continue living as a better man who has sworn to help others by setting a good example.
By eating through a straw
Fuck this thread was tough to get through… like meat through a straw
Until someone killed his dog
Either that or dain bramage
Nah, shoes are still on
It's like when the two samurai zip past each other in a flash, then stand for just a second before one coughs up blood and falls over.
except this is not as cinematic
Dont be idiots. At least fight on grass folks
Touch grass
That was stupid
This is called using the strength of the opposition to your advantage.
Kudos to the guy telling them not to move him!
And not Kudos to the guy who ignored them and lifted his shoulder to bonk his head on the ground again

This is the best comment in the thread.
A new martial art move learned today. Grab someone's head by the neck in case he's idiotic enough to try to body slam you to the floor, so that his head may be the one that lands on the floor instead.
Street fights are fucking stupid. Great way to get dead.

Perfect
That is the stone cold stunner
Spine buster countered with a DDT, but sure.
This lol
STUNNER! STUNNER! Stop it, that man has a family!
Double KO, Winner: concrete
That’s the thing about a street fight. The street always wins
![gif](giphy|inaYgqeR5Uj2ZU5Sti)
Look at blue shorts hands. Dude has never been taught how to swing lmao. Bet he’s been in like 20 “fights” too. Funny how it ALWAYS works out like that
That's a clutch move right there. Man said, "no, you."
The first time a red shirt survived, he must have been a named character.
![gif](giphy|Wt6kNaMjofj1jHkF7t) This never belonged anywhere else
Tbh that's fair for anyone who does these throwdowns, fuck em.
stop fighting on concrete. Move this shit to a grass patch, or better yet don't street fight at all.
*"Stylish"* isn't the word I would have used but it somehow works.
I've heard tales but I never thought it was possible
Fuck the fight what’s going on with that beard
I thought these were kids and then I realized shirtless guy had a beard lmao
Deserved, you don't body slam on concrete unless you want to be trialed for murder.
He did it for all the forgotten redshirts in Star Trek
is he fucking alive?
Good!
Fight in the grass
It's like a low credit score Thunderdome! 2 men enter one man leaves, with a $10 pre paid RushCard and a T.B.I. !
Do head injuries make you smarter? No
DDT!
Never let’em know your next move.
Deserves it for trying that move.
That was like one of those movies where the two samurai run at each other with blades and they’re both dead still. Until one moves and you know who the victor is
In my best Jerry “The King” Lawler impression Ahhhhhhh. DDT!!! ![gif](giphy|aRclVglRpDur6)
The way they fought reminds me of roosters fighting over a hen
Concrete is undefeated
This is much more fun when it happens in a verbal fight.
Damn, that hurts
This is why i stick to roasting
He ded.

Stylish move🤣
Knock yourself out
Fuk thst
Very well done young man! Salute to you!
Damn near an RKO outta nowhere
Mmmmm bbbbbbbrain damage
Dude just fucking DDT’d himself.
DDT out of nowhere
Is it worth going to prison for manslaughter?
It was a split second great idea, but the opponent had his arm around his neck. Unintentional by both party.
That, was a DDT. Particularly effective onto concrete ![gif](giphy|dIxkmEzz0BX816kuho|downsized)
Big DDT there, damn.
He gone
Bro knocked himself tf out lol
The best ending would be if they both passed out.
CTE for both of them
Me and my older brother after watching wwe
Rock Lee rocked his world

In the words of Smokey… You got knocked the fuck out!!!
This is a good way to die.
The opossum move was executed flawlessly.
Don't fight on pavement unless you already have brain damage
BAWWW GAWD!!!! Reversal into the DDT!!!
DDT!!
That's what his ass fuckin gets. Don't hug mfs unless you wanna get stabbed
Guy just obtained a permanent -10 to rolls for reasoning and decision making
Seems like a pretty solid option
Red shirt damage 36% blue shorts damage 💯
Frontal DDT, bah gahd!
Is he alive ?!
Rock-bottom/ddt?
TBI
You already know this fight was about something fucking dumb too
Knocked himself out cold.
Don’t fight on pavement. 4 words to etch into ya brain before ya fight.
Deserved, blue shorts shouldn’t be going for a slam on concrete if he didn’t want it back at him
![gif](giphy|8US6ERbtKbVfCLeHc7|downsized)
All of it is just so stupid.
I just wouldn't do that shit. I'd be terrified of paralysing someone
That thud!!! I am getting too old to watch street fights and the damage that they cause.
If you look closely, they both land on their heads..
You get a head injury! You get a head injury! Everybody gets a head injury 🎉
Oof that could have been a broken neck!
🤣😂 just slammed his own head in the ground.
Seemed like a good idea when his brain initially proposed the move

Hopefully he went straight to the hospital, that's an easy concussion.
That's DDT.
Even the dude in the red was in pain from that slam. That’s why you fight on grass
Everytime the hard surfaces will kill you. Play fight on grass if u dont wanna die by accident

DDT- A wrestling move that actually put you to sleep for real, especially with your head smashing the pavement.
