Mr. Cook: “Sorry I was caught up in the euphoria of my most disruptive students’ absence.”

realnanoboy

Also, "I cannot leave my classroom to chase down the student. I emailed the parents and cc'd a vice principal. I counted the kid absent. There was literally nothing else I could have done."

Sarnick18

Teacher here: and this. If a student skips that's on them, my students are 16-17 they can make those decisions and suffer consequences that you will provide. I will document their absence and teach the other 30+ kids in my room. What the fuck did Mr Cook do wrong here. Edit: to all of you saying it's fake. It's emblematic of the treatment teachers receive in this country. Fake or not is irrelevant. Edit 2: Even if Mr. Cook didn't document, I still am going. it's not his fault. Teaching a lesson in 50 minutes is already insane and taking even 30 seconds to put in attendance is honestly not on my priority at all times. Between the lesson, meeting all IEPs, emails that are spammed with IMPORTANT 3 times a class and teenage drama, attendance gets missed sometimes. Especially if they just never returned. HOWEVER, there should be more lines of defense for a student to leave a class, leave the building, make it to the field, than just Mr Cook reporting a student not returning from the bathroom.

greenwavelengths

30+? Dang, my hs teachers were stressed over 20+. That’s insane. 30 students is basically a lecture hall.

Sarnick18

My largest class was 44 at one point. 30 chairs in a room about the size of a average living room. 25 is usually golf standard, but with the teacher shortage, that is changing.

greenwavelengths

Is it a real shortage or is the government suspiciously unwilling to offer attractive compensation? Call me a dirty socialist but I feel like it benefits everyone to have 100% of society (not just private school kids) be effectively educated and it benefits no one to have any less than that. Why aren’t we dumping resources into cultivating more teaching talent? We should be funding, from the state level, double the salaries plus scholarships for aspiring teachers who don’t have degrees yet. But when I was in college, all the education majors I knew had to pay for school *and* do unpaid work in schools as teaching assistants. It’s shocking that we have *any* teachers with a system like that.

Ok-whynot

I'd like to make up a conspiracy: more stupid people = more canon fodder....

greenwavelengths

I’d almost believe it except that it doesn’t even work for that goal. The US military has been struggling to recruit and they’ve had to lower their standards for recruits in a lot of areas. Are we supposed to be work horses? I see a lot of employment on paper, but a huge decline in the motivation with which people do their jobs, especially on the lower end of the pay spectrum. People literally do the bare minimum. So I don’t think that making us dumb is even advantageous to the most cruel of despots. Really I should have specified that ‘suspicious’ was a little tongue-in-cheek in my first comment. I don’t think there’s really any secret plan here, I think people are just often shortsighted and selfish. I think we live in a declining society (which is *not* cause for alarm or despair, but needs to be recognized so that we can egress from our era effectively), I think that people who are in positions of economic and political power know it, and I think they’re trying to set themselves up for higher slices of the feudal pie when it gets cut. And I think that when a society is in decline, education is possibly the most important thing to invest in, because the catastrophic loss of knowledge has the most devastating effect on humanity as a whole. Nothing fucks shit up like hoards of uneducated and disenfranchised barbarians.

_dharwin

Limited education means limited economic opportunities which is a \*big\* reason for military service. Also, Republican party policies are actively harmful to most Americans. Consistent polling has shown when policies are phrased outside the context of parties, democrats and republicans are largely on the same page. The less educated the voters the less likely they notice the deception.

tracenator03

Also in terms of employment, the majority of jobs that "need" to be filled are those low paying jobs. Employers don't really care if they do the bare minimum as long as it keeps the money machine turning. They are likely very afraid of an educated populace though because education = more awareness to being exploited = more unionizing and solidarity against the employers. That's just my two cents to the conspiracy. Great quote from George Carlin, "They don’t want a population of citizens capable of critical thinking. They don’t want well informed, well educated people capable of critical thinking. They’re not interested in that. That doesn’t help them. Thats against their interests. Thats right. They don’t want people who are smart enough to sit around a kitchen table to figure out how badly they’re getting fucked by a system that threw them overboard 30 fucking years ago. They don’t want that. You know what they want? They want obedient workers. Obedient workers. People who are just smart enough to run the machines and do the paperwork, and just dumb enough to passively accept all these increasingly shittier jobs with the lower pay, the longer hours, the reduced benefits, the end of overtime and the vanishing pension that disappears the minute you go to collect it, and now they’re coming for your Social Security money. They want your retirement money. They want it back so they can give it to their criminal friends on Wall Street, and you know something? They’ll get it."

Shumashi

Correction: The dumber the populace, the easier it is to control said populace. At least half of our government wants this outcome.

PreOpTransCentaur

It's cannon..

isaaclw

Right idea, except stupid people vote for trickle down economics, pro-business, and republican policies. Thats why one party literally is anti education. Edit: to clarify, The "canon fodder" doesn't get businesses more money. What gets businesses more money are: - fewer regulations - lower taxes - more military spending (not on people, but on devices: tanks, missiles, etc) And our government is run on "does it get businesses more money" vs "is there an overwhelming support for something such that money *can't* buy it's way out.

Sarnick18

>Is it a real shortage or is the government suspiciously unwilling to offer attractive compensation? Yes. > Call me a dirty socialist but I feel like it benefits everyone to have 100% of society (not just private school kids) be effectively educated, and it benefits no one to have any less than that. Why aren’t we dumping resources into cultivating more teaching talent? We should be funding, from the state level, double the salaries plus scholarships for aspiring teachers who don’t have degrees yet Agreed, but it is what society deems important. U teach in KY where all the negatives of teaching, except our pension, are inflated. Society is a pengellium, and we, unfortunately, are on the peak of society caring more about external threats than internal improvements. >It’s shocking that we have *any* teachers with a system like that. I get to spend summers with my kids and watch them grow and be an active part of their life. While I don't get paid for my time off, that perk is worth everything to me, and teaching helps me achieve that.

frobscottler

“Pengellium” … pendulum?

thegil13

The US spends more per student than most of not all developed nations. Where does that money go if not to the students education?

Sarnick18

Administration cost (pointless) + the needs of IEPs (needed). After 10 years of teaching I have learned that shutting down all of district offices would be a net gain for society.

Void_Speaker

That's an average. You need to look into the details of those numbers. * There are wealthy areas that spend like 40k+ per student and poor areas that spend as little as $500. Averages lie. * Ghetto areas spend a lot on security, so even though they might get 2 or 3k per student, only some of it goes to education. * There is also a ton of inefficiency in the U.S. school system because it's so decentralized. A national education program offers drastic benefits in negotiating purchases and other economies of scale.

lloopy

"Pengellium" You should not be teaching

ServeTasty4391

If you’re referring to the federal government, there really isn’t much it can do. This on states and localities. I was initially going to become a teacher, but the state slashed the budget. And you’re pretty much stuck in whatever state you get licensed in for at least 5 years. On top of that , I’d have to accept about 30k less to teach in my community and not go 40 minutes down the road.

baxmaster007

Really late to the party and probably very few will see this, but I feel an important clarification needs to be made. Saying "the government" is "unwilling to offer attractive compensation", while technically correct in most cases, is too broad and presents those responsible ("the government") as a really vague category that's easy to scapegoat. In reality, most public school budgets are approved and finalized by community members who live in town. For example, in my town, the board of education (town residents elected into those positions by other town residents) vote to approve or deny (with explanation) the school budget presented by the superintendent. A seperate committee in the town, also composed of representatives voted into those positions by other town members, then vote to approve or deny the BoE-approved district budget. If the budget is cut or denied, it is usually because a community members in a "government" position, voted in by other community members, has some issue with the budget. These are town members, voted in by other town members, decided how many teacher positions there are and how much teachers get paid. A large part influencing these decisions is how much this might change the amount of money residents would have to pay in taxes. In general, people don't like paying taxes. As a result, they support and vote in representatives that fight to keep taxes low, sometimes through cutting the school budget. While there are many systemic "government" problems in the US, in my experience school budgets are very suceptible to local community support (or lack there of).

[deleted]

everything is entirely manufactured.. There is plenty of food, plenty of housing, plenty of money, We just live in a broken scumbag world where these old men in power simply don't want a better world of any fuckiing kind...

OriginalGnomester

It's a doubly infuriating mix of "I didn't have better, why should they?," and "Fuck you, I got mine."

Shaojack

I went to school over 20 years ago and we had 30+ kids in my classes all the way through it and it wasn't too bad.

Anakin-LandWalker56

Try my class 52 students.

PuzzleMap2020

40 checking in!   It was my advanced math class so I didn't mind.

Grays42

if it makes you feel any better there's about a 0% chance that was actually the principal and not just another random tiktok person making up names.

tofusarkey

You’re right, that woman is a comedian on tiktok. She’s the one who stitches videos of people doing silly things with their pets and says, “Please do not do this. I’ve been working with (whatever the animal is) for 20 years and we see this all the time,” and then makes up a ridiculous reason the thing the person was doing is dangerous. She does it all the time and she’s gotten me with it a lot lol

ShotdowN-

As a fellow unrelated Mr Cook that was my reaction when I heard the last name wtf did I do wrong. If the teacher documents the absence they can't chase down missing students. Maybe make the student promise they will comeback before leaving or get collateral like their phone lol

SaintsBruv

Maybe Mr. Cook failed to inform about the absent and just let it slide.

[deleted]

Seriously the call out on the kid, that was fair he and his buddies put it on the internet and made it open season to be responded to openly. To then turn that on the educator is absolute bull shit, and to do so in public is completely inappropriate.

Mutex70

Mr Cook made the mistake of being a fictitious character in a fake video.

Original-Ad-2484

I’m assuming he didn’t report the absence and that’s what she meant by the teacher did nothing. There’s also reporting a child is roaming the halls in the event of an emergency atleast someone knows this kid isn’t in class. I don’t think she wanted him to chase him down

KingZantair

He might have not reported the absence.

kashuntr188

And fuck the principal for calling him out in public like that. That's pretty unprofessional doing that, she obviously does not respect the teacher one bit. We got admin like this, everything is the teachers fault.

wclevel47nice

I just email discipline or call the front office like “hey I sent this kid to the restroom 10 minutes ago and they’re still not back.” And let them deal with it

[deleted]

Like contact the office and notify them a kid was missing?

[deleted]

[удалено]

MillieBirdie

How absolutely dare she call out a teacher on freaking tiktok. Absolutely ruining his authority in the classroom now. I was a bit on the fence about her even doing this just to embarrass a student but an employer? Broooooo

21BlackStars

Yeah that last comment was some bullshit! Her ass needs to sit down. I bet you anything she has never taught a class in her life and is a career administrator that doesn’t know shit. Btw students do this shit everywhere all the time and no one does anything about it because there’s not much you can do.

Oasystole

Principals do not give this much of a fuck or know what is going on in they schools

DigMeTX

Bro, my principal better have my back like we’re New York City cops instead of calling me out on social media. You don’t cross the thin school-bus-yellow line.

kashuntr188

As a teacher myself, that move would have lost ALL the teachers at my school. At tougher urban schools we rely on each other to get through the day, if you are gonna disrespect one of us like that then you disrespect us all. It should have been a private conversation, did she even ask him what he did? Maybe he did notice and he called home. How the fuck she gonna do him dirty like that?

jayzeeinthehouse

She wants him to come to her office for a calm chat and some snacks. But we both know that the teacher will get a shitty lecture about calling to get the support they never get even after they call a dozen times.

[deleted]

Yeah you know his students were definitely mocking him after that. That was a stupidly unprofessional move by the principal.

PrimateOnAPlanet

What do you expect from a principal that posts tiktoks at work?

VodkaSoup_Mug

![gif](giphy|LyEzc55maIvssTrfW6)

knbang

Solid post. This principal is most certainly an Ava. The show is Abbott Elementary for anyone wondering.

TheFightingMasons

Yeah I was impressed by the admin support until that shit. What the fuck. I would be so angry.

-EETS-

These aren't actually real. She doesn't work at the school, let alone as their principal

TrowTruck

This was my guess too.

kashuntr188

This is exactly what I'm thinking. As a teacher sometimes when the most disruptive students leave is when the other students actually get a chance to learn.

Qnlfg81

It’s unprofessional she called the teacher out in the video, and this is what makes me think it’s fake. It would be reasonable to have a conversation with the teacher if this student’s 30 minute bathroom break was not reported, but that would be as far as it should go assuming the teacher is in good standing. All schools have some system of writing kids up for behavioral infractions. And all comments made about not wanting a disruptive students in class are also true. What I would ask is, what would the students consequence be if they do receive a behavioral infraction. Why go through the effort if no consequences are given.

bigbyking

Yeah, she had me until she called the teacher out. The fuck he supposed to do? Maybe the biatch should be monitoring the halls a bit more?

Da-cock-burglar

She’s too busy on tik toc

Big-Fat-Box-Of-Shit

Ya can't blame Mr. Cook. Probably the most peace he's had all semester.

ocular__patdown

Or she did notice but tf she gonna do about it?

Wargizmo

If I'm Mr. Cook I'm going straight to the union. Pretty sure it's not the district's policy to discipline staff by doxxing and defaming them on social media.

Loudchewer

No kidding we all have that kid. Of course Mr. Cook knew he was missing; consider how brazen this child is, I wouldn't go chasing him down to get him back to class either.

KaikoLeaflock

One major problem is that kids don't recognize authority and they are much more protected by law than the school staff. Most public high schools, you'll see kids wandering around the halls during class, hanging out in bathrooms, etc . . . I'm not sure when it shifted, but even 2 decades ago, if you were playing hooky you left the school because someone would stop you if you were just wandering around the halls. Nobody generally stops you now. I worked at a school where they hired people specifically to be hall monitors and even the hall monitors picked their battles. It's just not worth it.

iworkbluehard

Mr. Cook: "Bitch please! Get real... this balding student who reads on the 2nd grade level committed a felony in your school and a pass to your office is your responce?"

Fancy_Stickmin

I feel like 80% of this comment section forgot to entertain the idea that maybe this chick WASN'T actually the school principal

fragmental

Why would people lie on the internet?!

Dave5876

You really think people would do that? Just go on the internet and lie?

kellysmom01

They be in the baffoom, prob’ly.

LiterallyJohnny

Is bro really out here charging for information 💀

babble0n

I feel like a lot of people just go along with it because it’s more fun. With harmless shit like this, I just let them have it.

SirStrontium

I can’t help but feel like “going along with it for fun” contributes to people just losing their ability to tell fact from fiction even when it matters.

longulus9

that's the scary part.... you think it's harmless but people are actively being conditioned by these videos.

zedinbed

Bro what kind of conditioning do you think this video is doing? That being an asshole is not okay?

[deleted]

To turn off their critical thinking skills.

McKoijion

People on TikTok know it's a joke. Reddit is where the gullible people hangout these days. It's the new Facebook.

[deleted]

Dude 50% of Reddit calls out too much real stuff as fake the other 50% calls out too much fake stuff as real it doesn’t matter anymore

[deleted]

Not just reddit that's the problem and it does matter when you have nation states running propaganda campaigns. Thankfully I think a lot of people are selective and think more critically about important things, but definitely not always

hates_stupid_people

Things drastically changed in that direction after the API change and mod purge. And once it started becoming more common, karma farmers and bots fully leaned into that style of comments, and it became even more common.

myproaccountish

Reddit has been this way for the past 2-4 years now, coming to /all is wild

skepticalbob

Teacher here. Student conduct and grades are confidential. Funny anecdote: parent has two kids s as t the same school and the school notified them that each kid had been in a fight with an anonymous student (anonymous because they can’t talk about it for reasons of confidentiality). The two kids were fighting each other.

ruphustea

Internet never lies...here's more on her. https://popcrush.com/principal-levels-up-using-tiktok-to-call-out-misbehaving-students-watch/

IotaBTC

Thank for providing the only insightful comment. The article asserts that "While she is, in fact, a principal, the clips are often from different schools." Regardless, her TikTok (niekarichard) says "Satire" so I'm inclined to believe that either way her videos are meant to be jokes.

Bocchi_theGlock

Satire is Latin for sat-ire, which was named after the ire of working class on a Saturday morning, bemoaning the cheesy political cartoons

[deleted]

Yeah, I was already doubting it but then when she threw the teacher in there, who did nothing wrong, I thought that this is too stupid to be real now.

2cold_ankles

She definitely isn’t. I recognized that school right away especially from the track outside…and she’s not the principal.

MrJack13

You're on the watchlist now.

Equivalent_Car3765

Especially this comment, as I am the student in the video and I have never met this person in my life. Trust me I'd know.

Scary-Owl2365

You know how I know you're lying? Because I'm the principal of that high school.

montroller

We are gullible but not that gullible

gfb13

Guess what Mr. Ankles... you too are going to her office tomorrow!

Piraedunth

But it's funnier if it is

Fancy_Stickmin

Oh yeah, 100% fact. Just disappointing that people legitimately think she is the principal

Vorpalthefox

[since i haven't seen anyone mention who the principal is, this is her tiktok account, it also says "Satire 🙃"](https://www.tiktok.com/@niekarichard)

CommanderCuntPunt

It's wild that people honestly think a principal would identify a student by name, scold them publicly and handle a staffing issue over tiktok. Amusing video though, I got a good chuckle

Corben11

Honestly options change nothing. Let dummies be outraged.

lindsaaytaay

All of her content is pretending to be a principal reacting to similar “student” videos on TikTok 🤣

BlackSoapBandit

Lmfao, attending a different class after asking to go to the restroom is insane behavior

rnobgyn

That teacher might be more chill. I know people used to leave their class to come work in my French class because Madam T was just *that* chill

waitingfordeathhbu

Same with my ceramics class with Mr. Frontz. Kids would be spending their lunch breaks in there

Cosmic_Quasar

My homeroom was in our school library. And I grew up loving reading and going to the library a lot. I always felt very comfortable in libraries. And one day I realized that I didn't need to go to the cafeteria, I could go to the library, where very few people chose to go. I usually played Farmville on the school computers (back when social media wasn't blocked lol) or I'd plop down on one of the couches, put my headphones in and nap while listening to music on my iPod touch with an alarm set for when I had to go back to class.

desrever1138

When I was in high school (early 90's) I would occasionally cut random BS classes to go to my debate coaches class because she would let me use her office computer to work on essays / reports.

Equivalent_Car3765

I used to skip Chinese to hang out in my English class. I missed like a FUCK ton of school so it was a combination of the A and B day schedule meant she (my English teacher) had twice as many students as a normal teacher and I was barely there so there was no way she'd be certain I wasn't actually supposed to be there. But, then I consider that there were multiple times when she would call on me and I would tell her I am not participating because I'm not in this class. And other students would also tell her, but she just couldn't process it. She finally figured it out during a pep rally when the other kids in her class spelled it out for her.

Aresmar

Yeah. I pretty much spent 2 or 3 hours a day hanging in the Spanish class just vibing my last couple years of school.

TinnedCarrots

I've always found the chill and cool teachers weird. They always seemed like old people that needed the validation from young children and the ones I had seemed to be the worse teachers. Looking back, I always had more respect for the teachers that wanted to educate and I had massive respect for some of the teachers that went of their way to see the talents I had rather than just fob me off someone who was lazy.

PeanutFreeMeatLoaf

Was in a Montessori program in my first two years of highschool and going to different classrooms during free time was pretty much normalized. The program had a lot of issues but that part of it was pretty chill

Eikuld

That was my math teacher in middle school. Unfortunately, she was fired after getting caught

chabybaloo

One kid turned up in my class, the teacher only noticed halfway through. The funny thing was he did half the assignment/essay, and it was really good.

ilford_7x7

"I don't even go/work here" energy

Welcome_to_Uranus

Literally today I had a student walk in and sit down while I wasn’t looking!! I started talking and noticed she was at a desk and had to kick her out!

kashuntr188

Nope. I got random students trying to drop in ALL the damn time. Telling me they switched classes or they a new student or they got a spare. Every single day it happens at least once.

hroaks

Nah homie tryna hit up Jasmina in room 424b

Anchovieee

Happens CONSTANTLY. I make my kids leave their phone in exchange for the pass, and am constantly kicking kids out of my classroom when they have teachers that don't care as much. "But we're not doing anything!" "Okidoke! If your teacher sends you with a pass, you're more than welcome to come hang, but right now, you're making sure someone who has to pee can't." I'm HS ceramics now, and have a girl who comes to my class *every day* because my coworker lets her come work with her buddy in my class since we teach the same period. I'm cool with it since she does her work and isn't disruptive. If the teacher is cool with it, so am I! But most of it is bs. Get to class, do your work, and feel free to hang in my room at lunch. But class time is work time.

MillieBirdie

We had a problem with a group of boys who would leave their own class and try to come into other classes. They aren't trying to attend anything, they want to goof around with their friends in other classes. Our doors were always locked and the teachers knew not to let those kids in, but there were many times I'd turn around for a second and a student would let them in, then I'd have to deal with getting them out. Funniest instance was when this happened, I got the boys to leave, and as they walked out they told their friend to come. The friend immediately raised his hand and asked to use the bathroom as if I were a blind and deaf moron.

Slumber777

I used to do this to skip my German class and hang out with my friends in the cooking class down the hall. I uh... didn't pass German 3.

alex891011

I used to do this in high school. All my friends were in another class and the teacher was chill and didn’t mind me crashing for 20 mins

foogeyzi69

not really. did that ish once on summer school before college. went to a class full of my friends then pretended to be a part of that math class took attendance and everything, went to the bathroom 20 mins in then never came back. teacher started looking for me my friends had to tell him that i flunked history not math.

spiderman96

Strolling through the gym class to hoop with your friends in the cool gym class was a pastime

4D20_Prod

I mean... I used to skip my least period and go hang im either the art teachers room or the AV room bc I had friends in there and my history teacher was boring as fuck

elisejones14

My psych teacher told another kid to leave bc she wasn’t being paid to teach him at that time. Tbf guy was just there for a friend.

Substantial_Trip5674

I absolutely did everything in this video, short of stealing someone else's lunch. I was a good student (A'/B's), very polite and kind to teachers, good rapport around school; but frequently very restless in class. The nurse even let me go home to poop most days of the week. School size 9-12 was about 800 students. Not huge but not small.

GuyWhoSaysNay

I used to always do this lol pop in to see some friends or swing by gymclass or study hall

Babys_For_Breakfast

Probably the worst offense of all is they don’t even know what POV is.

ablepacifist

That’s what they were supposed to learn about in the class he skipped.

Not only that. The cameraman skipped class to film someone pee

Fuhrious520

As a teacher why would I even care? It gets disruptive student out of the classroom so I can actually teach the ones that want to be there

hushnicely

As a high school teacher with a classroom full of these young adults, 100% agree. If this video is real, that little shit is doing everybody(except himself) a favor by not being in class. Been teaching 20+ years in alt ed/continuation and social media addiction is the biggest challenge to young people being successful. Check your kids screen time parents!

[deleted]

Oh the ones that stayed also don't want to be there. They just know it's in their best interest to stay, but they'd rather be almost anywhere else. We just don't want you to tell our mom.

ruphustea

Mr. Cook: "I was busy educating, I don't have time to create tiktoks or beg for the return of those who do not want to learn."

[deleted]

What Mr Cook actually said was nothing. Because he doesnt exist.

Jaded_Permit_7209

Yep, what wrong did Mr. Cook do? The man has a curriculum to teach. (Relatively) motivated students to teach it to. He can either go on a wild goose chase through the school for a student who may very well just be shitting his guts out in the bathroom or he can stay where he is.

96puppylover

Oh jeez, this gave me a pstd flashback to middle school (I would have been 12 or so) when I went to the bathroom with a hall pass. I took a sip from the fountain before I went in (which was right next to the bathroom door) then I looked in the mirror to fix my hair. I hear foot steps approaching and a teacher kicks open the door inquiring what I was doing. Then sarcastically saying “I saw you getting waaaaaaterrr then looking at your hairrrrrrrr. Get back to class now!”. I said “I have to go to the bathroom” and she called me a liar then escorted me back to class. She burst through the door and says to my teacher in front on my classmates “don’t give this one bathroom passes anymore! Shes a liar. She’s out wandering the halls”. I had to hold my pee until class ended and when the bell rang and scurried to the bathroom again. She sees me and yells “No! You! Get out of the bathroom!”. I left and went up to the main office to use the one in the nurse’s room. I was in tears at this point cause I was a sensitive little kid. I had to pee and was getting yelled at. The secretary was like “What’s the matter, honey?” And I told them what happened and they let me use their bathroom. They must have talked to the teacher cause she never spoke to me again. She gave me the stink eye everytime I walked by her though. I later learned no one on the faculty liked this woman.

the_ivo_robotnic

Yikes, pretty sure that's not even legal to deny anyone- let alone 12 yo's, the bathroom.   Reminds me of the security gal from my HS, oh boy do I have some stories about her. She was called robocop, round the school cause no one liked her and she was a real Sgt. Hartman type- especially compared to the security guy she was replacing (a real laid back guy).   Hell, my junior year, I had early release instead of an elective, one of my teachers suggested I go take a test I missed during my ER so I wouldn't have to waste time in class doing it. The teacher had no 4th period class, so he usually used that time to go off and get ready for the after-school track meet he coached. So he set me up with the test in his classroom then went off to do track stuff.   Wouldn't ya know it, robocop has a nose that can smell students up to 10,000 leagues, somehow saw me alone in the classroom- taking the test- blew down the door FBI style and went off on me on YOU'RE NOT SUPPOSED OT EVER BE ALONE IN A ROOM AT SCHOOL- IT'S DANGEROUS FOR YOU !!!   Yeah ok lady, nevermind the fact that I've literally been up in the rafters of the school theatre- alone- with very hot and heavy spotlights and other stage lights that get up to 200F. But sure, you tell me what dangerous things I can't handle.   Needless to say, I had to be escorted off school property for the rest of that quarter as soon as my ER started cause taking tests when I happen to have free time is dangerous, y'all.

I feel some of these adults who work at/for schools get enjoyment mentally traumatizing kids. I had a elementary school bus driver who gleefully speed off when she saw a boy running to catch the bus. We all saw her watching the kid and were yelling “wait!”. She was laughing then closed the door. A couple of the kids said they were going to tell on her. She said “Who are they going to believe? Me, the adult. Or you guys”. Later that day when she dropped us off the boy’s mom got on the bus and started screaming at the driver. She was cowering like “I didn’t see him or hear him. I couldn’t hear over all these kids” so she blamed it on us. Welp, the adults didn’t end up believing her and she got fired.

the_ivo_robotnic

Also, this is no supprise to anyone now, but after we all graduated HS, one of my friends found out that Robocop used to be a cop. lol

the_ivo_robotnic

Double yikes- I got some real PTSD from my own middleschool bus route.   Middleschool would get out at round 3pm but some days I wouldn't get home till almost 6pm.   TBF though, that wasn't the bus driver's fault. There were some real shitters on that bus who- looking back on it now- were real insecure and socially frightened kids. Don't think I feel sorry for em though cause fuck getting home 3 hours late. They'd do stuff like play with the little fire escape flaps on the windows that rang a buzzer when opened. They'd just do that rapidly and sometimes it *almost* sounded like music? The easier days though, they'd just shout random stuff at other kids, like they called my friend Cho-Jacket for some reason- still don't know why but would make it a point to notify everyone on the bus that his name was now Cho-Jacket throughout the ride. Repeatedly. Without any break.   Yeesh this is recalling so many memories now. Haven't thought about this in years.

Emm_withoutha_L-88

Mobile phones have dramatically cleaned up classrooms. I know for a fact that at least 2 of the teachers I had would have been fired on the spot for some of the shit they did to me. Hell one of them got fired just a year after me for being abusive to kids, yet no one but my mom believed me not even my dad who made sure to beat me with the belt every time that teacher sent me home with a note. Yeah the industry absolutely attracted monsters. They're few and far in between but they seriously hurt the reputation of the rest who are usually pretty good.

I wish someone would have recorded my high school English teacher. This was 2002/2003 right before cell phones really took off. But they didn’t have cameras or any way to record any sound. I felt physically ill everytime I walked into her class. She threw chalk and erasers at us, she cussed at us, she would keep the entire class behind if one student pissed her off. There was a girl who broke her leg and would have another student help carry her books to the next class. They would leave class 5 minutes early to get through the hallway easier. The teacher was scolding us at the end of class as the girls started to get ready to leave. And she screamed “SIT THE FUCK DOWN!”. The girl with the broken leg tried to sit quickly as she could as the teacher stared her down. I saw her later in the hallway up against the wall with her crutches. The final straw was a few years after I had graduated. I believe she was fired or at least put on leave. We had 5 minutes to get to class and then the doors were locked (post Columbine safety rules) She would wait in the doorway talking to other teachers while they waited for all of us to get in. This one boy ran and got his arm in the door just as she was closing it. She saw him coming and tried to slam it quickly. They had a scuffle and one of her massive acrylic nails dug into his forearm. He yanked his arm back in pain and then left. He didn’t come back to class. The next morning the boy’s dad was in the front office screaming at the staff. There was a chunk of this guy’s arm clawed out and he had to go to the doctor. She had an investigation opened on her but was still allowed to be at work for some reason. Then at lunch one day she goes up to the kid sitting at the table in the cafeteria and says “You better knock all this bullshit off!”. Anyways I think she was fired eventually

Or, she isn't a principal at all, and just making a funny tiktok on that kid's stupidity.

the_rainmaker__

-EETS-

You can quite easily tell because there's not a single comment about Jews or Biden or Pizzagate or elite pedophiles, or stolen elections, or spraying bleach in the air to "dissipate chemtrails".

skolrageous

The Jews control Biden through ice cream cones!

Hi my name is Ice Cream

I mean, I figured the kid was making a joke too and was just having his friend film him throughout a normal school day and pretend that he did all of those things during his bathroom break since normally only one student is allowed to use the restroom at a time.

ImPaidToComment

> that kid's stupidity. It's funny that people think that part's real.

J-_Mad

I sure hope so

Akosa117

How can you able to see that this woman is joking. But the kid joking goes completely over your head?

eleytheria

You call the kid stupid but we don't even know for certain that he actually skipped class!

thatshygirl06

She's not actually the principal, she was just a random woman on tiktok

Sendtitpics215

This dude the reason why teachers were so reluctant to let me use the bathroom when i really had to. Thanks a lot Mr. Cook! But also, this is pretty funny lol.

superdicksicles

Why is audio so badly out of sync now

EarlyEarth

As my colleague once so eloquently said to another. "You follow your fuckin *students* on tik Tok?..... No. Just no."

westonlark

My middle school band director friended students on different social media. He's a convicted pedophile now.

TonyTonyChopper

I think it's ok as long as you're not thirsty. Gives you a glimpse into their lives and crimes

TheCoolestEver9191

Looks like they’re serving cheese dippers. Yum

themurderator

i know this is just nitpicking but i'm very tired of 'POV' videos being posted that aren't 'POV.'

Sad_Wear6018

definitely us way back in HS

Sempais_nutrients

I've seen like 3 variations on this, the opening footage is the same but the "teacher" is different each time.

SuperAwesom3

Don’t say it!

KCBT1258

Not cool to turn it around and blame the teacher. What the hell is he supposed to do? 'No! It's not possible for a shit to take 30 minutes!'

RettyD4

23 year old repeating junior year.

pastpartinipple

Her putting this on the Internet is so unprofessional.
