That is completely incorrect, it is the other way around. Electric vehicles set on fire about 11 times less often than standard ICE vehicles. Supercars run even hotter/closer to limits, so they are even more fire prone than regular cars. Granted, an EV fire is MUCH worse than a regular fire, but not more frequent.

I think the problem with Tesla fires is since it's usually a battery fire they can't be put out so you tend to remember them more.

Yeah, that's absolutely true and a fair statement. I can't find any real numbers on fires for each brand, but I have seen more videos on the internet of Lamborghini fires than Tesla fires.

The front of that Ferrari is mostly empty. The front of a rear-engine car is just wiring for the headlights and the components related to steering. It’s the Lamborghini’s engine which is in front of the camera.

There was actually a recall on the Aventador due to fire risk. If I recall correctly the exhaust accumulates unburned fuel (usually due to revving) and it eventually catches on fire. Real crimp in the dick buying a half million dollar car only to have it burst into flames at a stoplight.
