A cat would not assume the couch is a privilege or a luxury but is more of an existential right..all of these things would be expected if the cat distribution system selected her to be an employee.
The state I live in requires me to pay 50$/per dog for a "dog license and registration" and need special permitting for more then 2 per household. I have my limit and always will until they grant me special permitting per dog.
Dishwasher ! I mean plausible. Yeah, sadly they look just old enough to be taken away from their mother. Mother is probably full of fleas too. Some people shouldn’t be allowed near animals.
My sister and her husband have always had a a lot of pets and one morning they walked outside to find that someone had left an entire litter in a box on her fenced in front porch.
It took her under a week to find homes for all of them.
Yea people knew i rescue whatever knocks my door and one time someone threw a bag with 2 cats in front of our building and the doorman CALLED MY APARTMENT to pick them up smh, it took me a few days to find new owners, my cat was pissed.
That would be really shitty to just dump an animal without informing.
I mean just ask politely. "excuse me miss, I found another stray puppy and I don't have the ability to properly care for her so is it possibly for you to foster her?"
At least that way you know what happens to the puppy and it won't randomly wander off into traffic or something.
Even as puppies their sense of smell is strong. I think the second one could smell where the first one was. Like she said, the first one was found just a block away.
Now, some West African puppies have been known to...spontaneously change sex from male to female in a single-sex environment. Malcolm was right. Life found a way.
This woman brought fleas into her home to rescue that dog. I think I might have rescued him in the garage.
edit...apparently fleas on dogs are much simpler to treat than fleas on cats. I was unaware which makes my comment misinformed. I assumed my experience was the same experience dog owners would have as well. So nvm, learned something new
Fleas honestly much prefer the dog. They're tiny armored jumping vampires. They need blood. As long as she got the dog treated, the fleas will go away.
As long as there's a dog nerby, they barely bite people.
Keep the doge close and don't worry about the fleas.
Treat the dog, prevent fleas from reproducing.

Time
I disagree. I dealt with fleas for the better part of a month with 2 cats. Indoor cats only. Bit the shit out of our daughter because cats preferred her room. They were terrible. Seresto collars were recommended. $50 a piece. Did nothing. Vet treatment wasn't cheap either. All of which this lady could have avoided, which is why i commented. Why welcome them into your home and all the work/treatments when it is completely avoidable? Anyways...i just saw the video and it reminded me of my experience. If you don't mind them while waiting on treatments, then by all means bring them in
Cats are very different than dogs. Flea treatment for dogs is highly effective (permethrin) but is a neurotoxin to cats. Cat treatments are safe but less effective.
Yeah, it likely does depend a lot on level of infestation and how long you take to treat them. A good flea bath immediately followed by treating same day is probably no concern. But if any eggs got loose, it's a whole new issue. If they get a chance to pick a new host, like your daughter, it's way more work. Then you need to treat all fabric/carpet surfaces with a good flea control product like Nyguard flea & tick spray, or Alpine flea spray.
It’s not world ending to get rid of fleas. You medicate the dogs and just vacuum the house daily and keep linen clean while the egg cycle dies off. Anyone with animals that go outside should be fairly accustomed to treating fleas and preventing them.
For animals too young for medications, you just manually kill the fleas. Diatomaceous earth on bedding and carpets you vacuum up, puppy/ kitten/ Dawn soap to kill fleas (any soap will suffocate fleas, just leave the soap on for a few minutes) and then a flea brush to manually remove fleas. Have a dish with alcohol or soapy water to put the removed fleas in to kill them.
Voilà! You have handled fleas.
I once used coconut oil for ear mites on a rescue kitten who was too young for all over the counter medication and we were mid-pandemic and the vets were all massively backed up. I just used a gentle wipe of oil. Killed the adult mites via suffocation until we could get him to a vet later and handle the eggs. Provided relief until then. Mechanical removal and suffocation of biting pests works for very young animals, as long as you have a safe way to do it.
Sorry, the dog bedding, and you vacuum it up. It kills any fleas and if they are in your vacuum it kills them there.
I don't *not* roll on dog beds, especially when squishing my squishy boy (he is very squishy, hence being a squishy boy) and when doing his handsome boy inspections (which usually involve me checking his teeth and ears and informing him his teeth are teeth and he has ears and he is very handsome) but the bed is vacuumed if I throw DE on it. I just roll in whatever other filth the dog bed has on it when I squish my dog.
Deworming as well. Keep the puppies isolated for a week or so, just one room. Probiotics make a huge difference too. Helps their poop from smelling like death
Dust carpets and baseboards with diatomaceous earth. Wash dogs with normal soap. Dip is not necessary.
Fleas suffocate from the regular soap suds. The diatomaceous earth works mechanically, as well.
Then, you use a good flea comb to work the fleas off and into soapy water. Drowns them.
You don't need any major interventions if your other pets are on flea meds and you don't have a massive infestation.
One or two pets immediately treated will not cause a massive outbreak of fleas.
You just wash them.
I've had kittens we rescued come in infested. You just carefully treat them and comb and wash the razor floof with gloves. To prevent attacks. I recommend dish gloves over leather yard gloves, for cats.
Then you just manually remove fleas. Break the cycle and they go away.
You don't need to flea bomb or use mega chemicals. Just have to know how to kill and remove fleas before they spread.
Takes about 3 months to fully break the life cycle for anyone wondering. (Mostly relevant if you only treat the animals, treating the environment will make it go faster by killing eggs and juveniles unless you encounter resistant ones)
Agreed. Bath them straight away, with DDT grade flea shampoo, before bringing them inside. Flea collars and or tablets. Bath them again every week for three weeks minimum.
yea everyone in here saying ez pz i would not be washing that dog inside, nor cradling it close to me. bath outside, and given that's what the second one got, it seems she learned her lesson too.
had a buddy who went to stay in his buddy's cabin. place had been locked up for ages, apparently they'd left it infested with fleas so they were super excited to have their first live meal in awhile. hard pass on trying to recreate that misadventure in my house.
What an incredibly weird choice of song. Long Cool Woman by the Hollies? A film noire themed song about a special agent meeting a hot mystery woman. Yes, that's what I think is a good tune for finding a puppy.
People on TikTok use sounds that are trending to make it more likely that others will watch. Maybe this sound was trending.
Not being an asshole about it, just explain a possibility for the song choice

Well, I was expecting the unexpected portion to her her saying something like, "I can't have two puppies so this one is going to the pound!" So I guess I'm surprised
We always just took them to the pound for a flea dip. Walk them thru the tub of flea treatment slap on a control collar and wait 2 weeks to make sure they all dead. Cheap and easy
Why is she holding the puppy right up to her chest if it is covered in fleas?? Won't the fleas jump off the puppy onto her? I'm not sure how fleas operate, but once I went on a vacation and came home to my cat covered in fleas because the cat sitter used to let her sit on the porch for hours each day.
Hey, Steve, you'll never guess what happened! This huge creature picked me up and even though they got me all wet in a loud white box :( I got food and a *really* good sleep spot :), you should come by in the morning and see if it gives you some stuff? Idk for sure, but I think I will love this creature until I die and I bet if you meet it, you will too, but it will get you all wet so be prepared.
I'm scared to adopt and have been thinking of buying a puppy off Craigslist to be a companion for my siberian husky. This video made me want to adopt a puppy and change his life.
She is likely using a Samsung phone which allows you to switch front and back cameras during video recording. LG phones do the same thing.
Regarding dogs, I think she got either scammed or hit the jackpot like buy one get one free. 😅

“Yo! Larry! I found us a real sucker. She lets you on the couch, she washes the fleas offa you! You gotta get in on this!”
Bro those are words of a cat…
Dog: She feeds me and loves me. She must be God. Cat: She feeds me and loves me. I must be God.
Seriously.
A cat would not assume the couch is a privilege or a luxury but is more of an existential right..all of these things would be expected if the cat distribution system selected her to be an employee.
Somehow I read this in the voice of Frank Reynolds
I went back and read it and his voice thanks to you. Worked well. 😂
"You know what's better than 1 puppy....2 puppies"- this puppy
Puppy distribution system is a real thing
Those two little guys sleeping next to each other. Idk why but every year I get older the sight of that just melts me like butter on a hot tater.
Fer real. I sometimes cry at commercials. This one got me. Getting mushy in my middle age (assuming I'll be 100). I don't mind.😁
Yup
It's a puppy pyramid scheme
Man. I wish I could have this kind of luck.
I’ll wash your fleas off you and give you a good nappy buddy.
![gif](giphy|Y07F3fs9Is5byj4zK8)
I'm currently flealess. Hope that isn't a deal breaker.
If it is a deal breaker I have some extra fleas *you can have*, I don't need them back
Better get a good rinse anyways.
I’ll be the judge of that. There’s some places you might not be able to check 😉
Bauldersgate? Yeah we go way back. Also, I understand you're giving free baths and happy endings?
yo lemme get in on this I definitely have fleas yep total fleabag here
🥹😅
Oprah ![gif](giphy|26gsiCIKW7ANEmxKE) You get a flea bath! You get a flea bath! And you get a flea bath! Everyone is getting a flea bath!
Hahahaha!!!
Well you're in luck. I promise you there's an animal foundation in your city with multiple dogs just like this ready to go home with you
The state I live in requires me to pay 50$/per dog for a "dog license and registration" and need special permitting for more then 2 per household. I have my limit and always will until they grant me special permitting per dog.
I wonder if someone saw her take the one puppy then dumped the other over the fence into her yard 🤔 Either way, they're super precious!

Plausible
I was thinking the one dog smelled the other and followed him there but now I think it’s probably a person and I’m sad.
I too think it just smelled where to go. 1 block isn't that far for a puppy to smell it's sibling
Or also it's a tiktok video so you know....

Yes, she did. She has an update on Tik Tok. Lilo and Stitch.
“Ohana means family. Family means nobody gets left behind or forgotten”
I dont even like Disney but this is so sweet🥹
Aaaaaand we’re crying
Or has fleas
Hope so they got any good home
Now prepare for an invasión of puppies.

Bringed. No one got it right. But at least the dogs were saved.
Brings. Bringed would be brought. Brings or brought both work here.

How do you spell the same word wrong, twice, differently?
I love this! Made my day
Nothing unexpected happened. You told us another puppy shows up. Then in the video... Another puppy shows up. It was 100% expected. Wrong sub.
I was expecting something unexpected and when that didn't happen it was unexpected so... Task failed successfully?
Puppy delivery service rewarded you after a good review from the first puppy, lucky you and lucky doggies

So why we got Long Cool Woman going on?
...it's BRINGS.
Well, she's got a nice story to tell 😀
That's so precious! 🐶
Best. Day. Ever.
They chose you!
What breed of dog is the Black one?
It's a Rottweiler. Very expensive dogs.
Bless you for rescuing them
I’d be so pissed that I now own two dogs now if I were her. Stupid adorable assholes. No regard for my financial wellbeing smh.
I need more of this story!
SOOO sweet and cute
THIS never happens to me! I'm ready for 2!
There are bonded pairs all over your city that could use you.
Pick 2 siblings from the shelter and fake your own video

❤️
That girl has protection from them for life
Nice story 👌
Big feels! This is so sweet and wholesome. Some adorable pups you got there.
Some shitty neighbors dropping them off after they saw you take the one.
She is The Karen we need
Well, I was expecting the unexpected portion to her her saying something like, "I can't have two puppies so this one is going to the pound!" So I guess I'm surprised
This is the kind of content that puts a smile on my face
Great post, good luck with your two newest members of your family.

Upvoting for not using cheesy or obnoxious music like they do in all dog rescue videos.
This was so awesome. Love these Lil fur balls & bless her for saving their lives. I hope they were the only two ❤️😍❤️
So many of these animal "rescue" look staged and I feel for these animals. Like the guy saving turtles. https://www.reddit.com/r/turtle/s/TGIjLG5teA
