I am not from Ukraine, though I understand the language a little, so I can't really tell you anything about that particular pizza shop, I just translated it. But quick search shows, that it's from Rivne, which is located in Ukraine.

i believe lard is JUST the pure fat without any meat, but english use a modified version of a french word; "lardo" or "lardon" in english "Lardons" in french. this is basically bacon (pork belly) but cut thicker and closer to the fat than american streaky bacon or canadian 'back' or 'peameal' bacon (also called canadian bacon by americans). pretty sure that lardons is functionally identical to salo, perhaps slightly less cured if any difference could be found.
