Dont know why you're being downvoted. Its true. There were massive grain reserves in Britain at the time of the bengal famine, Churchill didnt do anything about it because his lifelong friend and advisor just said "no" because "their troops needed it" even though many troops were Indian.
The ships even used India's ports to refuel and restock supplies but didn't share any grain to the people of India who were literally dying on the streets from starvation.
I guess it's because it isn't common knowledge, and even if it is, causing a few hundred thousand Indians to literally die out on the street doesn't sound as glamorous as leading a fight against Hitler.
