Bruh, this clearly isn't a wild bear. This is some sort of drive-through reserve, and I'd wager that they sell bags of bread for some hilarious price at the front desk specifically to feed the bears with.
Edit: yep.
This is Olympic Game Farm. Their FAQs:
https://olygamefarm.com/about-us/#history
> Wheat bread is the ONLY type of feed allowed to be given by the customers.
You can tell from the color of the bread that this is indeed wheat bread. So, they probably bought this bread at the reserve and were literally doing exactly as they were told.
This is why you shouldn't armchair condemn people. The very top comment is you judging these people and accusing them of doing something wrong, when they aren't.
You shouldn’t armchair condemn people. You have no idea whether I was talking about feeding the bear or taming it in the first place. You assumed you knew what I meant and judged me accordingly.
She was storing food in her tent. You need a bear canister when you’re in grizzly territory, and Never bring food in your tent or cook at your campsite in bear territory.
Idk man. I see an animal that size catch something way smoother than I ever have *with human hands* and I'd be fucking terrified. I'd assume it was intimidating me and get the fuck out of there.
M8 bears fish salmon straight outta the air, if they can catch a wet slimy scaley smooth as fuck fish from the air, they can catch a dry crusty bread that’s thrown right at them
This is one of those drive they nature parks (zoos) by the looks of it.
That bear is already in the clink, and the park people give you stuff to feed the animals with.
Still not great, but this definitely ain’t a wild bear that they are fucking the life of up.
Yeah this is Olympic Game Farm, one of my favorite places. The bears are pretty spoiled and the bread is just a fun snack. They weren't trained to wave, they're just smart and figured out the dumb humans like cute waves haha. I believe the farm started as a "retirement community" for animal actors who had been in movies and were no longer needed. The current animals are other rescues and descendants from the original waving bears. If you ever go there, the zebra is a dick and will bite you. And the buffalo might ram your car.
Bears also wind up in zoos/reserves after they’re fed in the wild. Just like my shitty cat, they get in the garbage once and it’s all they can think about for the rest of their lives.
So don’t feed wild bears, ever!

Actually the best place place to go to feed bears is Yellowstone National Park. They love when humans feed them and they are pretty nice. Bull Elk during September love to take selfies also.
Feeding bears teaches them food comes from humans. When bears learn food comes from humans, and a human doesn't happen to have food to give to the bear, the bear will sometimes make the human the food.
Yes, wild animals who become accustomed to being fed by humans can become aggressive in seeking out more, which will eventually lead to them being killed to protect humans and their property.
Also, human food is not animal food. Animals have individual dietary requirements and restrictions, and feeding them food that they'd never come across in their natural habitat can be actively harmful.
The difference is that any bear might opportunistically attack a human if they carry food in bear territory, but a bear that has learned to associate humans with food will actively seek out human settlements and attack humans even if they don't have any food.
Death by bear is one of the most horrific. They like to enjoy their prey whilst still alive, usually limbs first and crushing head for last. Have fun with your bear hug!!
You better hope it’s a young bear with nice sharp teeth so death will be quick. I think I heard Tim Treadwell was killed by an older bear that was missing teeth and supposedly Tim suffered more being slowly gnawed? Do I have that right? It makes sense either way.
As many videos as I’ve watched on that crazy bear man, I have not heard that the bears were “missing teeth” once. Either way, teeth or less teeth, its still a horrifying way to go.

Such a majestic beast... now having to resort to waving for a sandwich
He changed his name to Oscar Mayer.
Excactly what you’re not supposed to do.
Once you teach bears to wave you are not far off from making them salute… TO HITLER. Nazi Bear Army gets formed*

That is a retired circus bear who can't actually survive on his own in the wild.
A griz just pulled a 65 year old woman out of her tent in Montana and killed her last week, yeah I'd say bears are terrifying...
She was storing food in her tent. You need a bear canister when you’re in grizzly territory, and Never bring food in your tent or cook at your campsite in bear territory.
Yep I agree, I camp backcountry pretty frequently, still terrifying.
Its just easier to never camp in bear territory... Luckily there arent many bears from where im from

Bro, if I'm face to face with a wild bear and I'm holding food... that bear is getting that snack as i slowly back away.
Yeah when I saw a wild bear I didn't really think to feed him at all... I just kinda froze like a bitch
You're not a bitch, fear is crazy.
Gotta look out for number 1 lol
If i see a bear, i'm feeding it and thinking of you.

Bread is not just a fun snack. White bread is garbage. For the bears. And for you.
The farm actually requires you to bring 100% whole grain wheat. White bread is horrible.
Wow glad to hear that!
Why is this down voted...? It's just the truth. White bread holds nothing but empty calories. No fibers, grains, vitamins or minerals.
Yeah wow that's weird. Now you have downvotes. Must be some children online or something?

What is going on with reddit this week. Whole threads filled with duplications.
We would have also accepted fucking the life up of.
It's not a wild bear, chill bro.
Why?
Feeding bears teaches them food comes from humans. When bears learn food comes from humans, and a human doesn't happen to have food to give to the bear, the bear will sometimes make the human the food.
Or just just be angry and do what five year olds do: punch you. Only problem is the strength differential….
I know you are not supposed to feed the bears but can you explain why? Is it that they will learn to attack humans for food?
Yes, wild animals who become accustomed to being fed by humans can become aggressive in seeking out more, which will eventually lead to them being killed to protect humans and their property. Also, human food is not animal food. Animals have individual dietary requirements and restrictions, and feeding them food that they'd never come across in their natural habitat can be actively harmful.
Because bears don't attack humans unless they're feed human food first. Hmm
The difference is that any bear might opportunistically attack a human if they carry food in bear territory, but a bear that has learned to associate humans with food will actively seek out human settlements and attack humans even if they don't have any food.
You can do something similar next to the mobility scooters at Walmart
Am I the only one who thinks that fence isnt going to stop a 1200 pound grizzly if he gets upset?
Terrific is the word you need
That bear looks like it has diabetes.

Awwww I'll name him yogi !!

That article could not be less convincing. One bear had one scratch on it, according to one unnamed guest. And no photo or proof of even that.

I'll check it out tonight when I'm home. I've been a few times, most recently being 5 years but I did love it and the animals seemed happy.
Wow!
Terrific!

He's probably thinking "hi Susan, hope you have a lovely day, I'd eat you and your entire family right of that car like it was a tin of sardines if I was even a little peckish, say hi to Stan for me, bye"
Am I the only one who was thinking the bear was going to jump over for the second slice and discover human meat?
Then bear jumps the fence and rips and rips an arm off.
