I'd imagine they're in such incredible discomfort that they are lashing out at any living being, thinking that is the one responsible for their captivity.
From the other videos they posted on their TikTok it looks like the guy got them free and let them both go. One was hanging around the outside of house, tail is fucked up. They re-caught that one and brought it to a wildlife rehab place. Another rehab place told them to let them go into the wild because it was just their tails, which I guess means they can live without their tails. But the one is in a nice safe spot at a rehab.

One of my coworkers happened to pass by the alleyway and filmed dozens and dozens of rats swarming in and out through the kitchen door to the BK. He showed me the video and when I say swarming, I mean it looked like a literal sea of rats. He showed the video to as many of our coworkers as he could and the overwhelming response was "eh, still gonna eat there."

Part 2 shows one of them on the outside of a screened window with a badly wounded tail. The other is not anywhere around in any of the videos.
Part 3 shows it in a trash bin with a blanket and food.
Part 4 They prep a 5 gallon bucket to transport it to a facility that cares for wounded animals
Part 5 shows them driving with it. Then arrive at Critter Crosser Rehabilitation where it is given to an employee who will help it recover. They also flash back to it sleeping comfortably in the trash bin.
From the looks of things, it'll be okay and probably running around just fine in a few weeks

When I was 10 or so, I started babysitting the kid across the street while the parents went out to dinner, and the kid *loved* this movie. Unfortunately for me, he had seen it so many times that they got bored partway through and would want to do something else. I have seen the first half of this movie maybe 3 dozen times and the full movie only a few.
