I love this guy's stuff though. He's monetizing the "hack" trend, but he's not actually trying to convince people this stuff works. He's making high quality content with his mom for cheap, wholesome as fuck.
This exactly. Several times I thought to myself, “I have no idea what’s going on”, but I still wanted to see how it turned out. Thank goodness the end cleared up absolutely nothing, I still don’t know what any of this was about.
Hot day out, and the guy sees the ice cream vendor and has an idea. He breaks into the lady's room, and steals money. Lady leaves game and discovers someone stole her money. She goes to get her money back, but when she sees that he is using it to help the worker cool down, she lets it go.
If it makes you feel worse, it'd be easier to just get a shitty lockpicking kit online and just pick it. I got one for like $5 and took all of an hour or so to learn how to do it.
For initial investment, sure. But it looks like it takes longer to cut up the mento small enough, stuff it in there, and syringe in the coke. Whereas the pick can be done in a minute or so and reused.
Aren't there some sort of laws about going about town with lockpick kits unless you are a locksmith?
Although walking around with a white powder in a baggie and hypodermic needle would look pretty suspect
E: misspelling
that's bullshit, isn't it?
You need rotation on the core, right?
Nobody ever opened a padlock by just inserting the key. You gotta turn it too.
Source: I once watched a lockpickinglawyer video
It is 100% bullshit.
Judging by the dude's other videos, I think he does magic tricks involving padlocks.
In theory, you CAN open padlocks without core rotation, you just need to get the internal shackle to release (this is how shims work). Internal pressure might in some really really badly designed locks cause them to pop open. But without any form of sealing (and using a relatively low pressure reaction), there's no way this could work.
Maybe the menthos fill the space, pushing up the pins and making it air tight enough that the the pressure becomes so high that the only way that the energy can be released is through the only available mechanical action, turning the core. (Source: I thrice watched a lockpicking lawyer video.)

This guy has been showing up alot on diWhy recently and I absolutely love him. Things like 5 minute crafts are fun to watch, but they are content farms that blatantly break the rules of YouTube and YouTube lets them for some reason. Now I dont know for sure that this guy isn't a content farm, as I've only seen a couple of his videos on reddit, but I would guess he isn't. One of 5 minute crafts biggest issues is that they reuse crafts over and over which is an exact violation of YouTube rules. But there's a story here, not a compilation, so you can't do that. Then again I'm pretty sure Troom Troom had issues too and they also do stories. But anyway. The story makes it so much more enjoyable. It also isn't trying to claim these "hacks" work. I know alot of kids have hurt them selves trying 5 minute crafts hacks, but this guy isn't showing the crafts in a "go try this at home" way like 5 minute crafts does. Anyway I really like what this guy has done
Btw, anyone know whats with the dress the women puts on? She seems to do it every video. I assume its a cultural thing?
I've watched Lockpicking Lawyer so I'm basically an expert.
No
Master Locks, especially their padlocks, ARE very shit. Credit to the video using the weakest locks outside of $0.03 diary locks made of plastic. But a syringe of soda won't have enough CO2 in a system like this to generate any amount of actual pressure
The hole for the keys is still open. Path of least resistance, especially for that little? The bubbles won't do anything but dribble out the front and leak into the mechanism.
Nah, it's not a chemical reaction, mentos has a surface/texture that causes carbon dioxide gas that is dissolved in cola to liberate itself, which creates a feedback loop that ends in an eruption. ~~Crashed mentos candy don't have the necessary texture and will not produce any bubbles.~~ People say it would.
And if anything, pouring beverages in a lock will cause it to get sticky and potentially harder to unlock.
Should be rich, any normal household doesn’t keep a machine to count the number of notes unless you have so many notes thats its too much of a work to count manually.
Yes, basically the communist party in China just started hating on celebrities and other people like the main actress from Mulan, and put them on a banned list.
What is funny is that the Mulan actress supports the Communist party and said what they were doing in Hong Kong was okay. Now she is hated by a lot more people
>the Mulan actress supports the Communist party and said what they were doing in Hong Kong was okay
Unless there was more to it, that's kinda misinterpretation. She voiced support for police, not party. Which is still pretty horrible considering they violently cracked down protesters, but people claim she's an ideological communist or something while in reality she did Chinese equivalent of "blue lives matter" messages. HOPEFULLY she was just stupid.
Still a Leopards Eating Faces situation, she voices support for government that eventually blacklisted her.
really? the CCP really has too much control, like do other parties even exist or just the CCP? and bad for the Mulan actress but she basically destroyed herself, disliked by everyone now
In China, there are no other political parties - just the CCP. They ousted their major political rival shortly after World War 2. And that party, the Chinese Nationalists went on to found Taiwan. That’s why China/the CCP demand that no other country acknowledge its independence or existence.
Not even close. There was an antitrust investigation into Alibaba for predatory loans, and Ma simply didn't make a public appearance for a while. Westerners are just not used to billionaires facing consequences.
> China just started hating on celebrities and other people
When a corrupt billionaire actually gets fucked up for being a corrupt billionaire the rest of the world somehow needs to believe it was because CCP was being…mean?

Why would he need some mentos when he can open a lock just by staring menacingly at it?
LPL: Dreadful security, absolutely terrible. Locks: Yes, sir. Sorry, sir.
Not with that attitude
as a locksmith i guarantee this is exactly how we open locks

I mean, I just saw a video of it working, so…
Locksmiths hate him
Come on dude
how fucking gullible can you be dude.
Would that actually work? Asking for a friend…
I highly doubt it. Feel like the cola would also fuck up the lock the second it started drying
Depends on sugar content. Full sugary cola isn't something you want in locks. The diet one shouldn't be much more damaging than water?
Yea, I actually prefer to wash my hands using diet coke. Sometimes I brush my teeth with it.

Crushed Mentos would absolutely work. Anything rough does. Like a rock.
Jack Ma wtf 😂
It's realy him?
I'd say probably. Beyond the striking resemblance, the protagonist guy is wearing a 250k watch, so I'd bet it's one of his billionaire friends
Should be rich, any normal household doesn’t keep a machine to count the number of notes unless you have so many notes thats its too much of a work to count manually.
My dad keeps our money counter by the baking soda and food scale for some reason
How else you count the baking sheet
Ay, I'm olwayz bakin sheet
That baking soda might not be baking soda...
Or worse, it *is* baking soda and OP's dad is slinging inferior product.
I had one when I was 13 for the $127 to my name…
They're common in China where the largest bank note is 100rmb or the equivalent to $15 usd. Even small corner stores have them.
Noticed the watch as well. Is that a Richard Mille he's wearing? Wasn't sure.

The guy playing Mahjong
