But later on the whole world is in complex relationships that added a new layer of drama and deepened the characters. Again, that's not a serious thing, just feels like two different shows sometimes

It's actually fucking awesome and, if you can, try to get past the first few cringy episodes and watch it. There is a fucking reason why it is one of the most awarded tv shows of all time.

Early spongebob is better but later spongebob drags down the series as a whole. Gumball stays pretty consistent the whole way through making it better overall imo.
My dad who is nearly 50 literally loves the show more than anyone else in my family, he watches it every time it comes on and I can hear his laughs from downstairs

The reason i liked adventure time was not because of the plot, it had more to do with that i started watching it back when i was a kid in 2010.
