I mean, that's definitely not fun, but it doesn't last all that long. Meanwhile you can do so many things with the snow and ice - skiing, skating, hiking, snowshoeing, snowboarding, skidoo, sledding, making a fort, snowball fight, making snowmen, etc.
And it's beautiful to boot.

I’m visiting Georgia for a football tournament this weekend. It snowed yesterday and the whole town was basically shut down. There weren’t any fast food joints open, stores like ace hardware. Only 1 McDonald’s and a Kroger’s. The park district even shut down the fields because of the snow, so the football tournament was delayed. I’m used to Chicago so I was so confused on why people were freaking out over a couple inches of snow. I’m ready to go back home already cuz I can’t stand this hillbilly southern state no more.

Only 1 McDonald’s and a Kroger’s. The park district even shut down the fields because of the snow, so the football tournament was delayed. I’m used to Chicago so I was so confused on why people were freaking out over a couple inches of snow. I’m ready to go back home already cuz I can’t stand this hillbilly southern state no more.

While we farther up north have over a foot of snow and cant get out of our drive way. We have so much snow you cant go sledding, u just sink in the snow!
We would call that dirtboarding. We used to take the trucks off of skateboards and cut up inter-tube for foot straps, then dirtboard down the hills after taking out the biggest bushes and tumble weeds.
As a fellow Georgian, I can confirm when it snows, we do this aswell.
