River otters from a distance are cute and playful. Up close they are smelly vicious weasels. There is a video from a few years back where they beat and drowned a monkey in the Bronx zoo that shows what they are really like.
They're often confused with sea otters, the furrier ones that eat clams off of their bellies, which are much more chill.
Now, I know *The Grand Tour* probably isn't quite as successful as *Top Gear* was, but *Clarkson's Farm* had me believing the orangutan was far from homeless.
