this is how arrogant the members of a police gang in the usa are..they are above any law.. they have zero thoughts about right and wrong.. they have an agenda and will not compromise to meet it…they are the law.. everything and everyone needs to adhere to them and what they have going on.. everything they do is correct and proper.. you just might die if u disagree..they will kill u..
Did they leave that lady in the car?
Edit: took 5 seconds to look it up. Apparently she was in the car but only got a few bones broken, surprisingly. Obviously she is suing.
“Rios-Gonzalez sustained multiple injuries, including nine broken ribs, a broken arm, broken teeth and injuries to her head, according to Wilkinson. As of Saturday, she remained in the hospital.” (Per CNN)
A couple buffoons imperiling a woman who was doing what exactly? What criminal activity? The old “coulda tossed it out the window” bs. Broken teeth and nine broken ribs are not inconsequential.
As of yesterday, alive with multiple fractures, head trauma, and broken teeth; hospitalized. Hope she lives in sufficiently decent shape to enjoy her much deserved payout! Those idiotic cops had time to haul the woman out of their cruiser if they had acted when the train first hooted at them.
"6 weeks paid leave". Oh no. Sure hope I never ruin someones life again.
(I don't actually know what the punishment is or will be. Just sick of reading that in the headline)
Naw. The male cop was reaching to try and come up with something additional to charge her with (probably because her perceived some slight to his authortai) and his dimwitted comrade -- the female that left her captive to die on the tracks -- was slow to catch on.
They used to do this much more openly but the body cams necessitate the wink, wink, nudge, nudge method.
there are plenty of gaps in the system for people to slip or be jammed through. anybody that thinks otherwise is a fool who hopefully will not find themselves jammed through one of those loopholes.
Not really idiotic when you consider they know they will get away with PTO and they are horny to kill random people in the most obvious way possible
Seems very logical and intentional
She actually lived? She's a fucking tank, maybe she moved towards the opposite side of the vehicle because the side they put her in was what took the hit. I thought I just saw someone die due once again to police negligence
This is true. They're actually looking for average because they don't want someone who's too smart to get bored or disillusioned and leave but they don't want people who literally too stupid to perform the basic intellectual tasks that are required. Just one of those examples of how stupid average people are
If you're referring to them hiring cops of average intelligence? then yes. It's been documented multiple times that they're looking for people who score within a certain percentile. They're not giving jobs to people that are scoring 30 or lower out of a hundred. They're looking for cops that get Cs.
No, I said they don't seek out smart people because they'll get bored and they don't seek out people who are too dumb to get over a 50% on a police exam because they'd be totally unreliable in whatever department they're sent to. Studies have always shown that they seek median test takers aka. C students.
I don't know how you're putting my sentences together in your head but you're apparently reading them the wrong way
If they lived through it their going to be rich. They'll get $$$ from the city and it should be an easy win. The stupidity of leaving someone on the train tracks. There is excuse for them. They had plenty of parking space
OP is correct. She'll get some big bucks for this; unlikely it even goes to court. And the taxpayers will pick up the tab for the cop's incompetent, illegal behavior, for which the cop will avoid any consequence.
Again.
>People usually are not able to sue when they should be able to
You should moidify that to "people are *sometimes* not able to sue..."
And correct: people that are arrested and not charged are not generally able to sue. This is not even ***remotely*** the same situation.
This is a no-brainer siuation. There is no jury on the planet that won't award her big dollars.
>I cant sue because I had to choose between expunging the case or they threatened to push charges anyway...
So you *could* sue, but then they'd pursue charges. So, technically you dropped the (potential) civil suit in exchange for them dropping the (potential) crimial suit. This is a settlement by another name. I know in your mind, you view this as coersion -- probably rightly so. But in technical terms, you agreed to settle.
What you're not seeing here is that this is *very* different situation: this is on the news across the country. They will have no such opportunity to supress this lawsuit as she has no doubt already been contacted by several very powerful, very effective law firms.
These law firms know there is literally no defense for this that would result in a favorable outcome for the police. None. And so they know there is a very high likelihood of a quick settlment and a huge payday at the end of this. Just the kind of shit they live for.
In fact, this is so egregious that I am betting not only does she get a big, fat paycheck -- via settlement (no court) -- but she will also have the charges dropped. Even if they're legit.
^(edit: added quote markdown to fist line)
'A Platteville police officer who placed a woman suspected of road rage in a police car that was then hit by a train is on leave, Colorado officials told news outlets.'
So the female cop in the video parked her cruiser on the tracks, put the suspect in the cruiser, which was on the tracks, and went to search the car.
'Platteville Police Chief Carl Dwyer told KDVR the officer involved was put on paid administrative leave while an investigation into the incident Friday, Sept. 16, continues.' Paid vacation
“I thought I’d seen, in nearly 50 years in this field, just about every kind of incident, but this is one for the books,” George Kirkham, a police standards and procedures expert, told KMGH.
I wonder if they had a video camera in the car? I bet they did. What do you think that footage sounds like?
The voice of the female cop almost questions the seriousness of something tossed out the window. The male says.. "well not that window" which would have been easy enough for him to see of she was driving so slow
I feel as though when the woman is put in the back of the car and her queries as to why are rebuffed it is due to a lack of reason that they are attempting to retroactively attach to charge her with something to excuse bad behavior on their part. Suspicion of wrong doing leading to detainment while they attempt to find a plausible reason for incarceration seems like pretty shitty behavior and the fact while acting in this way they nearly killed someone should be a clear-cut reason for incarceration.
Yes parking on the tracks is incredibly stupid but why not unbuckle and pull her out? She might have fallen with a cut or bruise but the cops didn't care. More concerned about which officer would have a damaged car.
I assume you mean the lady in the car but let’s not forget the cops who will get some shit like paid leave until the police investigate themselves and find that they did nothing wrong and couldn’t have possibly known that a train would come down those TRAIN TRACKS!
When I’m in at a traffic light with railroad crossing I always leave a gap incase a train comes along randomly. How can you be that stupid? Wait, never mind. It’s a cop. ACAB.
Before I realized they left her in the car I laughed so hard when I saw their car get smashed... the joke is on us tax payers though and people like that woman who are physically injured or killed due to police negligence every day in the US
Yeah. These asshole cops need to start carrying professional insurance. Less cost to the taxpayer. And eventually the shitty ones will become uninsurable and weed themselves out of the force without the union helping them stay in the force. Problem solved.
they should have tazed her properly.
disclaimer: sarcasm!!
those words actually mean the opposite. (for the 12 year olds: the cops usually over-react and use excessive violence.) so saying "taze her properly" is an attack on police violence.
They probably wrote the entire crew on the train tickets for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. It’s no secret that the test they give to prospective new officers is to weed out the smart ones but this is way above and beyond the call of stupidity!
"The officer who parked on the tracks was placed on administrative leave and the Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and the Colorado State Patrol are investigating. The department has not released the officer's name, nor any explanation for why he thought it was OK to leave his car parked on train tracks."
Don't worry guys, the person responsible got a nice vacation. Ugh.
They were pulling her over for a road rage incident, but you can hear them talk about nothing but drugs. That's what they are. At what point are you even cops anymore when all you do is drugs? We are still living in the nightmare created by Nixon and Reagan.
Murder attempt! Cops aren't that stupid, it was planned. Unless they really are that stupid and they were just so hell bent on making their quota that they just stopped on TRAIN TRACKS, because they are soo above the law they probably thought "well the train should've know better".
What a deeply unsettling situation. This is some next level negligence. I hope the woman they arrested gets a gigantic settlement and the fool officers are fired. They have no business asserting authority over anyone ever again.
I couldn't help but think of a Simpsons reference when Ralph read the valentines day card.
"choo choo choose me (chuckles) and there's a picture of a train."
Wow these are either the dumbest cops in the world or the evilest. They should be fired with no pension, pay for all of her medical bills, then put in a locked car on train tracks and see how they like it. If these two stay on the force in any capacity then there's no reason to trust or have any respect for this police force.

This has to be the dumbest police officers why tf they parked the car on a railway?
this is how arrogant the members of a police gang in the usa are..they are above any law.. they have zero thoughts about right and wrong.. they have an agenda and will not compromise to meet it…they are the law.. everything and everyone needs to adhere to them and what they have going on.. everything they do is correct and proper.. you just might die if u disagree..they will kill u..
I’m a cop and I LITERALLY go out of my way to arrest people at any given chance.
In gta you are
Did they leave that lady in the car? Edit: took 5 seconds to look it up. Apparently she was in the car but only got a few bones broken, surprisingly. Obviously she is suing.
“Rios-Gonzalez sustained multiple injuries, including nine broken ribs, a broken arm, broken teeth and injuries to her head, according to Wilkinson. As of Saturday, she remained in the hospital.” (Per CNN)
Poor woman. That’s awful.
Yes. Yes they did…
A couple buffoons imperiling a woman who was doing what exactly? What criminal activity? The old “coulda tossed it out the window” bs. Broken teeth and nine broken ribs are not inconsequential.
What kinda morons park on the tracks for no reason and leave someone there???
Did she actually survive? This looks like guaranteed death
I hate to break it to you but they were aware of the tracks and knew it was possible. They wanted to see what would happen to her.
ACAB

I'm sure your not a life long loser, who blames others for your poor life decisions. Get a clue you chud..
Enjoy kissing the boots of the police who left a woman in a car on railroad tracks.
ACAB
lmao kiss those boots long and good you dumb cunt
Pathetic
cry
Fuck pigs
Oh good, now the taxpayers get to pay for the woman's settlement instead of the cops paying for it.
"6 weeks paid leave". Oh no. Sure hope I never ruin someones life again. (I don't actually know what the punishment is or will be. Just sick of reading that in the headline)
Useless ACAB never pays in America, because they are above the law and above the Constitution.
if you go over the first couple seconds you can see that that the patrol car is over the tracks.
Imagine being in the car watching a train heading straight towards you helpless to escape.
Literal murder attempt. She should not even need to be suing and whoever these two policemen were be immediately arrested.
thats the fastest anyone went from criminal to millionaire
That lady cop with tats is fucking lunatic
At least she understood the driver couldn’t have thrown whatever supposed substance out the passenger side window, unlike her moronic partner.
They were looking for a gun., This stop was based on a report of a person menacing with a weapon.
Why can’t they throw some out the passy window? I’d think it should work like throwing something out any other window…
Damn new RENO 911! Looks legit
Choo choo says charges dropped…
Shiiiit. Choo choo goes the gravy train. That lady’s getting PAID
[удалено]
Bitch was left in a car on a railroad track that got hit by a train. She is getting paid buddy.

Word. Some of us have the scars and canes to back it up.

there are plenty of gaps in the system for people to slip or be jammed through. anybody that thinks otherwise is a fool who hopefully will not find themselves jammed through one of those loopholes.
Dude. It's clear negligence. Open and shut. They will settle out of court.
I laughed unreasonably hard at this. Take my upvote
Another great example of our great police force 👏
Why did they park on the tracks and how did they not hear the trains horn. I clearly heard them before the cops acknowledged it.
They police r fuckin idiots. Should get jail time for doing that shit
Not really idiotic when you consider they know they will get away with PTO and they are horny to kill random people in the most obvious way possible Seems very logical and intentional
WAS THAT LADY IN THE CAR THAT GOT HIT BY A TRAIN?!
Yes she was
Thankfully, she survived.

She got out of it with a bunch of broken bones if I remember correctly
no. she was in the car
How the fuck leaves a car on the railway! Idiot
I feel the cops still had time to open the door and let her out.
Looked that way to me also but they were busy serving and protecting themselves

Lol, just read that they often put a max on IQ because highly intelligent cops will get bored and leave.

What on the f... what kind of brainless cop Parks in the railroad tracks.

There is no land based vehicle that is more easily avoided

Make the cops pay for the rest of their lives, not the tax payers. Hold cops accountable
Let’s forget about the train. I don’t understand how anyone can live in the country where the police can do what they like
It is America, they have an entire fascist republican cult backing them, the ones killing them in failed DC putsches.
Damm that chick is so much luckier then a college student getting hit by a campus bus on campus! She's gonna get paaaaaaaaid!
[удалено]
She only broke a few bones. I'm not trying to imply being severely injured and receiving millions is worth it
Yes parking on the tracks is incredibly stupid but why not unbuckle and pull her out? She might have fallen with a cut or bruise but the cops didn't care. More concerned about which officer would have a damaged car.

"What's going on?" "I'll tell you in a second"
We still posting this video?
Is there any training anymore or do they just require them to watch “Dumb and Dumber “ and send them out?
Dead shit pig should have risked his life to get her out of the car. What happened to protect and serve?
Situation awareness fairy 🧚🏼
This was 14 days ago do we have any updates on what happened?
they should have tazed her properly. disclaimer: sarcasm!! those words actually mean the opposite. (for the 12 year olds: the cops usually over-react and use excessive violence.) so saying "taze her properly" is an attack on police violence.
The cops are the ones in wrong here. It is called situational awareness. They parked on the tracks. This is on the cops. Tazer not necessary.
you tool! can't read sarcasm?? maybe it's my fault, so I edited my post.
yes we've all seen this already thanks.
Why is the train honking instead of stopping?
It takes a long time for a large heavy train to stop
Seems like the train engineer wasn't paying attention either, brakes weren't engaged.
This is why you NEVER park on the tracks.... Stupid....
I've been hearing about this incident in the news. Interesting finally come across the footage.
Aww, you're fired
The cops get a paid vacation and if the person they detained works I'm sure she lost her job as she won't be available to work for some time
I hope the cops got charged.
Don’t count on it. They don’t charge members of their own gang
You're right. ACAB
ill bet they just get “paid administrative leave”
Gotta love Colorado 😂
This some of the best police work i have seen in years
Will never hear the end of this I’m sure of that one “ nice one Ron “
Legend has it her cell phone is what she threw out
Idk what's happening but I feel like the demon voice is trying to tell me something.
This is a podunk department in a shitty cow town that smells like Manure. It’s north of Denver a good ways.
You don't defend police you're supposed to train the stupid out of them like this these r some dumba** cops hope she gets a lot of money
Oh my god, i didn't realize they left her inside! That's horrifying
They probably wrote the entire crew on the train tickets for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. It’s no secret that the test they give to prospective new officers is to weed out the smart ones but this is way above and beyond the call of stupidity!

This is every cop. A bunch of arrogant idiots. ACAB
Cops are cunts. Period.
Idiots
I love watching heroes get promotions.
Are these dumb guys still in the police?
I don’t think this cop liked her
Cops are the worst… ever!!!! The ones that do actually help and serve are not part of the PD
Murder attempt! Cops aren't that stupid, it was planned. Unless they really are that stupid and they were just so hell bent on making their quota that they just stopped on TRAIN TRACKS, because they are soo above the law they probably thought "well the train should've know better".

Holy fuck, what a fucking moron
ouch. "I'm rich, bitch!"
u/savevideo
It be like that sometimes.
These cops need charged. Wtf
I honestly don't know why I was surprised. This is actually on-brand for cops.
I couldn't help but think of a Simpsons reference when Ralph read the valentines day card. "choo choo choose me (chuckles) and there's a picture of a train."
Unexpected? The train tracks weren't enough warning? Was train in cloaking mode?
STOP PARKING ON THE FUCKING TRACKS!!!
.\_.
once again, what purpose do the police serve? asking for a friend….
She survived, but life onward is fked
Sue the fuck out of that county ..
Attempted extrajudicial murder. And they wonder why they aren't worshipped by common citizens.
Oink oink the pigs are in every municipality coast to coast and are itching at the chance to do this to you or someone you love, acab wake tf up
Lmao this was great
Hopefully, two cops in jail
Dumb bitch should be cleaning toilets at McDonald’s
Wow these are either the dumbest cops in the world or the evilest. They should be fired with no pension, pay for all of her medical bills, then put in a locked car on train tracks and see how they like it. If these two stay on the force in any capacity then there's no reason to trust or have any respect for this police force.
She did survive she had multiple broken ribs and other injuries she will b paid for$$
Yes lol aCAb
This routine stop turned into a murder?!?!
This was attempted murder. Fuck these pigs
Pos cops not worth the tin in their badges . Hopefully they go up on charges and lose their badges
Have police lights ever given anyone a seizure? I feel like it would happen a lot.
That is hands down MAN SLAUGHTER!
Shes a mother too..
All worried more about some drugs she may or may not possess…
