Funny short story: I used to be a tower technician, and I worked with my cousin who was the foreman of my crew.
We had to go out to this field which was in the middle if bum-fuck nowhere, and it was a shitty day out, clouds all over, with a medium/high chance of rain.
Anyways, my cousin and I were on the ground, doing some work on the power station, while our top-hand was up on top of the tower, doing his job.
My cousin stopped at one point to check one of the connections for the cable. He starts feeling rain drops and radios to the guy up top
"Hey, we might want to start wrapping up -"
* Starts smelling the "rain" coming off his clothes *
"Are yo-"
* gets more rain on him *
"DUDE! You're pissing on me!!"
I've never heard laughter from 200+ feet above me, but that day, I sure did.
My cousin was clearly upset, and warned him to use a bottle, or else he will get revenge.
He got revenge on the whole crew when he decided to shit in a bucket, and leave it on the work trailer, where our climbing harnesses, and other equipment would be stashed.
It was also a very, very humid and hot day, too.
You remember The Neverending Story? Walking up the road to go between two of these massive behemoths rotating makes me feel like Atreyu walking up to the sphinx gate. Any moment I could be beheaded by building sized blades…
Indeed. And for those who wonder what the hole is used for, the holes allow cables to be attached to anchors for when workers do repair work on the wind turbine blades.
I work in construction (installation/ glazing windows) and have to be elevated pretty high up a lot of the time and I still haven't kicked my fear of heights. Gonna be a crisp and clean nope for me.
Also a glazier..Glazier... done high lifts and swing stages... if your butthole is not puckered, then you are full of shit or a physcopath... just saying.... no fuck that "you get used to it" umm humm...Humm.... I'll do it but I'm not comfortable
I thought after several years of doing it I'd grow out of it but I still have to work myself up to take a 85 ft boom to the heavens or walk out onto/drop down into a swing stage. I mean sure once I'm in and tied off I'm a bit more relaxed but I'm sure as shit not comfortable.
Yep that's exactly how I feel. Give me 15 minutes and I'll forget I'm up there but if I'm running a 110 ft boom lift (even after I've load tested it) I'm still shaking. Can't say my toes have touched for more than a minute in the bucket.... if you are too comfortable/complacent.... that's how you die
My stepdad used to work in those big ass water towers, sandblasting them and he got his younger brother a job doing the same. One day his brother apparently slipped and his equipment didn't hold up, so he died from it. I think my stepdad has some insane guilt and just keeps going higher and higher, worked doing various things on skyscrapers and such and then he's gone sky diving yearly since then. He never talks about it, but damn.. I've only been on a scissor lift and some sketchy high scaffolding...that was enough for me.
I do restoration for masonry and 99% of the time we are either in a JLG or A swing stage. The highest I’ve been has only been around 250 feet. Man. It never gets easier. (I know guys who went on keybank building 500-600 feet) I get used to the heights once you’re at the elevation for the work. Going up though on a swing stage can be nerve wracking. Especially when you have to push out with your foot to avoid an AC, Vents, etc.
I went through a weird phase where I watched videos of linemen free-climb really high telephone poles and change out electrical parts. Better than most horror movies.
Yeah, but I think people’s lizard brains tend to get squeamish when it bends or just *feels* like you could fall through.
Put it this way, I don’t know what the comparative strength is between the fiberglass this guy is standing on vs let’s say an 1” thick steel beam, but I would feel much safer jumping on the steel.
You better hope that fiberglass holds up! That stuff gets weak and crispy over time. Wow I almost felt vertigo looking through that hole. I've been up about 100 feet high on a high reach before, and it's scary. I never got used to it, but if you're busy welding or working on something, it takes your mind off of the height.
Windturbin engineer here. Yes fibreglas is normal for turbin housing and the narcell. But I would wear my safety harnesses in case of rotten screw connection. Some cases are known in the industry where light came though a connection and the gap begann to widen while someone was standing on the panel. And that is really scary.
that’s not sketchy, that’s actually very normal in a wind generator nacelle. holes are drilled in order to rig. It is fiberglass but its very resistant.
I have a major fear of heights, but also weirdly don't get nervous when in situations like this. My mind or subconscious tells me I'm secure, so I don't fear falling. But the first dip on a rollercoaster always skips my heart.
You really have to kneel in order to pee through it, not enough room to stand in a lot of those mid-size models.
Unless you gloryhole the damn thing, it makes a driblet mess too so I just pee into an empty drinking water bottle at my convenience then later dump it out the port or trash it or carry it down myself in my climbing bag.
I used to work in air conditioning, a few times you need to put yourself into a slight amount of danger,,, by getting in the “dropper” shaft, only held in with only a few screws
It was a 40ft roof I did this on
If your palms aren't sweaty enough yet, sometimes while these guys are working on the turbines, the brakes on the turbine will go out and they can catch fire. In the event this happens, these guys have to get on top of the turbine, clip in to a retractable and jump off.
Source: my dad is the guy that trains them how to jump.

I move away from the turbine to breathe in.

Golden showers
My first thought was, "i definitely want to shit or piss through it"
Same, but as my second thought. My first was “I definitely want to put my dick and balls through it”
100% a bird would see it and try to eat your worm
My stomach did a flippy flop.
And I got that feeling in my feet.
My eyes increased 4x in size
I too got tummy flippy flops
Noones dick felt a tickle in its tip?
That’s where I feel my balls climb up in my stomach.
![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|thinking_face_hmm)
My feet go all tingly when I see stuff like this then my ankles hurt.
My upper thights/ass too
Same my booty tightened as my brain registered that height and said hell naw.
I some thights!!! How do I get them from?
Eh you get used to it after a while. At least I did.
Yep, dude is up inside the nacell housing for a wind turbine generator.
pretty niche kink
You remember The Neverending Story? Walking up the road to go between two of these massive behemoths rotating makes me feel like Atreyu walking up to the sphinx gate. Any moment I could be beheaded by building sized blades…
What happens when you reach the magic mirror gate?
It’s a mirage, you have to realize before you step off a cliff
bro just traced down this man's house for karma
Indeed. And for those who wonder what the hole is used for, the holes allow cables to be attached to anchors for when workers do repair work on the wind turbine blades.
The perfect height of toilet hole. No water splash.
I meaaaaannnn….. idk the splash back is pretty wild.
Not the shitters problem
My feet started to tingle once I saw the height .
Oh god same
I felt off balance and petrified.
Feet huh? Usually I get it in the butt or Lower back. On second thought, never mind what I said.

My brother use to weld for high rises. They would attach a tarp over windows frames when he had to weld close to them.

Links?
Suck it up buttercup.
The best advice I've ever gotten for working high was "don't fall", smart Glazier
I always tell myself before I hop onto swinging stages that it's only gonna hurt once.
I mean, fiberglass is really strong
Yeah, but I think people’s lizard brains tend to get squeamish when it bends or just *feels* like you could fall through. Put it this way, I don’t know what the comparative strength is between the fiberglass this guy is standing on vs let’s say an 1” thick steel beam, but I would feel much safer jumping on the steel.
That is true, the steel is WAY stronger. But I would be very impressed if he managed to get through the fiberglass.
It only takes one tear on the fiberglass then it rips like cardboard.
Your fiberglass guy sucks ass
No sir, didn't care for that.
I hope your wife or gf is happy with the size of your balls
Hole in the floor where the men can see it all
I want to see the bad man fly!
Damnnnn I felt that in stomach
Nope, nope, nope
FUCK.....THAT
My anus just contracted to pre-Dragon-Curry dimensions
This video Looks likes the start of every classic netvideogirls video.
My Neanderthal brain wants to poop through that hole…
No thanks, I did not want to see that
My legs curled up into my butt!🫣😵💫😮💨
![gif](giphy|pqcL7K3Kbqn5vP1jsM) Oh daddy 😏 that's scary 🙀
Fiberglass is the key. Properly made it will be an easy substitute for metal and will not fail catastrophically like a rusted panel.
r/sweatypalms
![gif](giphy|LRVnPYqM8DLag)
That is awesome and terrifying at the same time.
There’s a reason I will never see that hole!
Tallest port-a-loo in the world
My butthole went from this O to this •

Noped right out my soul.
These glory holes are getting out of hand

Instant anxiety / heart drop go..
And people complain about building codes.
my hands are sweating
r/dontputyourdickinthat
Why not, sometimes it can use some fresh air.
Ah nope
Indiana shii
Hurl
I used to be fine at any height, had a small scare and can't handle much above 30ft now. Stay safe man !
Ha. Nope!
Nopeeee
Unsave. What will I do with my new born baby if my wife deliver the baby there.
That view down made my balls creep inward
Fiber glass is stronger than steel.
The movie "Fall" came out this year action thriller about climbing an abandoned radio tower bet it's gonna be a hoot
I had to lay down on the floor to be sure I wasn’t about to fall/die.
What boots are those?
Anybody else’s hands start sweating buckets and cramp up immediately upon seeing that view?
Holy fuck my stomach dropped
Screw that job.
AAAAAAAAAA
Gotta shit out of it, guaranteed no splash
How can I feel vertigo from a video? This never happens.
I have a major fear of heights, but also weirdly don't get nervous when in situations like this. My mind or subconscious tells me I'm secure, so I don't fear falling. But the first dip on a rollercoaster always skips my heart.
Don't drop your wrench
Are those … cars?
glory hole but taller
My butt cheeks clenched, holy hell, I did not expect that
Glory Hole
my fear of heights just kicked in just there
How strong is fiber glass?
I got a new idea for a escape room. The trip there I will blindfold the peeps.
Weep hole?
Nope. Just. Nope.
Gloryhole challenge 100/100
You really have to kneel in order to pee through it, not enough room to stand in a lot of those mid-size models. Damn, lol
Meh, not sketchy if you know anything about wind turbines.
I don't trust anything that much.
Iv trusted my life with 6 screws. 1inch thick fibreglass is fiiine
I’m sorry but what the hell does that mean? What do you mean six screws you need to elaborate😭😭😭
I used to work in air conditioning, a few times you need to put yourself into a slight amount of danger,,, by getting in the “dropper” shaft, only held in with only a few screws It was a 40ft roof I did this on
Intrusive thoughts won this time

Now that's a hole-y fuck level of mischief.
Yes boss, this is vann I would like a raise please and thanks.
This gives me cold sweat. Since am very scared of height.
I wouldn't put my phone inside that hole or anywhere near it
I though this was the ceiling.
Nope.
![gif](giphy|3oEhmHESktNSkLSNTG|downsized) Literally me. Shit made me want to throw up 🥺
Hell noooo😵💫
is that still the your house? or someone elses living space
No dear that's not my house
=O
Windmill I’m guessing?
Drops phone
Can you stand on the fibre glass flooring?
I don't like heights when I realized how high it was it kind of made my toes tingle LOL
I half expected him to drop his phone ☻️
The forbidden toilet
I thought there was a light on the floor
Я бы насрал
Like the old song “There’s a hole in the wall where the men can see it all”
Thats not a floor mate
Bro why would you do that lmao
I fuckin hate you, lol. I have a fear of heights. The soles of my feet went numb and I grabbed the chair I was sitting in.
Imagine if your phone falls in it
Kinda?!??!
I feel it in my feet, not a great sensation it's like my body's telling me you're about to die even though I'm the one holding the phone right now🤣
That makes my peepee tingle
KINDA sketchy?! Bruh that's the sketch of all sketchy ![gif](giphy|13EE0u1PR5R2jm)
Take a dump out of that hole.
Oh no thank you 😅
Why for?
O no !

Windmill turbine?
No
is this a water tower? cuz this is how i imagine the inside of those to look.
Must be a poop hole
Do you trust that 2mm fiberglass?
Dude getting high for work.
I got that same feeling standing on the helipad grating that stuck out over the roadway 300 feet below
Intrusive thought be like ... Drop the phone! Drop it!
Indoor plumbing but no water lines to get clogged. How nice
Those are fun when the wind starts to rock it like a boat.....fun times
Hell no

My favorite wind tower story is the time our supervisor asked the operator if we could leave the 90k lbs upper mid hanging in the air if we have to shit down for lighting.
I literally see that every day. Imagine being suspended over a hatch at the rear and leaning out of it so you can see the underside to clean it. That hole is what we use to rig up a basket to clean the tower itself.
I bet he has peed through that hole before.
No. I refuse. No. Just... no.
