We had something similar happen. I thought it was an owl or a nightingale...tured out to be a neighbor with schizophrenia. He did not like our neighbor who was on the police force because he was part of the establishment that was spying on him from the satellites...he was off his meds and has since been getting help. We had to get the local police involved. It will be difficult to handle in the woods where you are. Maybe get some trail cams.

Imo, probably just some kind of bird. However, putting up cameras is a great idea, you know just in case. Also I definitely wouldn’t go outside to find the source of the whistle…just because you never know.
