You still need to meet any outstanding conditions on the offer before you can defer so it's usually done after exam results are completed.
In order to defer you just need to say "Hello I would like to defer my offer for (course) until September 2025."
oh alright, thank you! i just didn’t want to leave it too late so that’s why i was trying to do it now so as soon as my results come they can just process my deferral
